Everything in the airport when smoothly
and I even got through security without the TSA touching me up.
But there was one problem, my flight was delayed due to weather.
So while sitting in the airport I started to wonder if I was
doing the right thing by taking this trip back to see my parents.
I couldn't even image what their reaction would be as they answered the door
and saw me stand there after I had left them without notice over a year ago.
But in my heart it was the right thing to do so when boarding did began,
I got on the plane. As I reached my sit and prepared myself for the long flight,
My phone started to vibrate. zzzzz zzzzzz zzzzzz zzzzzz. I answered...

Kyle was on the other end of the line and sounded extremely happy.
He first asked if I had already got on the plane and was on my way to Kansas,
and I told him they were just getting ready to shut the doors for takeoff.
"Get out of that airplane, I need you to stay in California!
I got something big that I need to show you now,
and it could finally lead to that contract."
Weighing my options to either see my parents or potentially further my career,
It was an easy decision.
I was off that plane in a heartbeat and driving towards Kyle's house.

Amazing story, really enjoying it, really unique, interesting, brings something new, has a great feel and I'm out of words!
It's even better than Trey Burke to the Pistons if you know what I mean. (NBA thread a month ago )

I rushed over to Kyle's house, well as fast as you can go in LA rush hour traffic.
When I finally did get over there this is what he had to show me.
Looks like my run of victories at the end of season was enough
to finally get some recognition, I was marked as a future talent by ESPN.
Although they aren't well-known for as the best media outlet for USA cycling,
they were still the "World's Wide Leader in Sports."
I couldn't believe it, all my hard work was starting to pay off finally.
I must have impressed 1 of their PR guys during my win streak.
Which would make sense considering they have a HQ located in LA.
But it didn't matter, because I was finally getting recognized.
With this article being published it was only a matter of time before
a team would take a chance on me and offer me that first contract.
So I need to be here in California to take those calls
and not in Kansas trying to apologize to my parents.
It was all about patience now and waiting to see which teams
would see the article and take a chance on my talents.
