too bad you didn't win the vélo d'Or

@Luigi: To be honest, they did nothing! I think they only picked up one or two wins all season. They released Valverde and Rojas at the end of the season...
@Ian & PCM: It was a run away win for Schleck. Looking at the votes, everyone but the British and US journalists voted for him. Not a single Belgian journalist had Cav in their top 5

HTC - Highroad 2012 Season Preview - California, USA
After a magnificant time on the road in 2011, preparation has begun ahead of 2012 season for the team.
We headed out to California for the 2012 Team Presentation, and the first team meeting was spent catching up with old friends, welcoming in the new guys after the off season, and there was a really nice atmosphere around the place. But soon it was time for the formalities and presentations to begin.
2012 HTC - Highroad Jersey
Designed by miggi133, the 2012 jersey has a 'dark side' to it, as the white of last season turns to black. Everyone in the squad are delighted with the style of the kit, and cannot wait to show it off in the peleton.
Full 2012 HTC - Highroad Squad
The squad has been significantly strengthened in the transfer season. Samual Sanchez, Daniel Martin, Thibaut Pinot and Janez Brajkovic all add firepower to our GC ambitions, whilst Jacopo Guarnieri will give us an extra edge in the sprints.
Neo-pros Isaac Cote and Luis Reilly will look to impress in their first year as professionals with the team, and no doubt a close eye will be kept on their development over the season.

HTC - Highroad 2012 Season Preview - California, USA
For me, 2011 was all about 'Project Rainbow Jersey' in Copenhagen. With the Rainbow Stripes on my back, I go into 2012 open to the challenges ahead, wanting to do the World Champions Jersey justice.
One thing is for certain though... I want to break the curse that comes with the Rainbow Jersey. Over the years, the World Champion has been dogged by injury, crashes and a distinct lack of victories. 2012 is when all of that changes... This is going to be my Rainbow Season!

I love the jersey. Its really great.
And a good looking squad built around Cav. You should be able to have a decent cobbles season as well as 1 week Stage races.

2012 Routes announced
With many teams preparing ahead of the 2012, the Grand Tour organisers have announced the routes for the forthcoming season, whilst the UCI have released the details about the 2012 World Championships.
Giro d'Italia
The Giro d'Italia will start in the Netherlands, starting with a Individual Time Trial around the city of Amsterdam. After 3 days in the Low Countries, the routes heads to Italy, with the route that is sure to favour the climbers. The summit finish on the Monte Zoncolan followed by the ITT up the Plan de Corones, on stages 15 and 16 respectively, will be the ones to watch.
Tour de France
Not to be out done by their Italian Grand Tour rivals, the 2012 Tour de France will also start in the Netherlands, with a short Prologue in Rotterdam. From there, the route heads towards France across the Ardennes and the Benelux, before it turns towards the Alps. The stages to watch: the Cobbled Stage 4 to Arenburg, and the Summit Finish on top of the Col du Tourmalet on Stage 18.
Vuelta a Espana
The final Grand Tour of the year, the Vuelta a Espana starts in Seville, with a short Team Time Trial around the city centre. With a mix of flat and Mountainous stages thoughout the route, the stages to watch with be the Summit finishes on the Alto de Cotobello and Bola del Mundo, on stage 16 and 20 respectively.
UCI World Championships
The 2012 World Championships are to be held in and around the city of Luxembourg, on a stage that will favour a puncher / hilly climber. Will the Schlecks look to take full benefit of home advantage to win the title?
The ITT course looks perfect for a powerful Time Trial rider, with only the climb to the 33km checkpoint looking like the problem area. Can Contador make it two in a row, or will Cancellara be back with a vengeance?

@sutty: It is a squad full of possible stage winners on many levels. Just short of a quality in the cobbled classics, but we can build on that for next season
@rogvi: All credit goes to miggi for the jersey! It is his fine work that has made it.
@Valv: Nice squad built around Cav for the sprints, and also building a nice GC team as well. Im going to prove that it is possible to win Yellow and Green at the same time I am just missing that little bit of quality in the cobbles, especially after missing out on Devolder during the transfer window.

Meyer to join HTC?
It is early January, the season is yet to kick off, but there are already transfer rumours in the air. Is Cameron Meyer on the verge of joining HTC - Highroad for the 2012 season?
The Australian Time Trial specialist has been spotted training with the American team recently, following his release from Garmin - Cervelo at the end of the 2011 season, as he searches for the a ride for the up and coming season.
No official word has been given by the HTC management, however, Meyer did post a tweet on his twitter account, saying that he was 'having fun in the saddle with the HTC guys.'

@TMM: I like those routes as well. Especially the Giro and TdF routes.
@pinktay: let's hope it can live up to expectation...
@Sutty: He has good TT skills, so would add to the lead out. I'm surprised Garmin let him go, so watch this space
@PCM: Thanks. Planning something exciting this season
