Hello GM,
You've been doing a great work so far! 12 riders on 4 months is very good! However, I want you to sign 3 more riders before the end of this month. This month you should be looking for 3 climbing team-mates for Bouet and Martin.
I watched a lot of cycling last month and it was fun to see how Heinrich Haussler won both Ronde van Vlaanderen and Paris-Roubaix, too bad he changed his passport to Australian a couple of years ago. It was also impressive to see how Edvald Boasson Hagen won Amstel Gold, even though he is an sprinter! Amazing. I was a little bit disappointed on you when Roman Kreuziger won Fleche Wallone and finished 2nd behind Philippe Gilbert in Liége, why didn't you sign him? I really hope you made the right decision...

Fantastic jersey made by ANFreeman!
Team Commerzbank is a new Pro Tour team who will replace Bjarne Riis's SaxoBank who have been reglated to Continental Tour after financial problems. Team Commerbank isn't he only new thing from Germany this year. Tour of Germany have been reborn and developed. It's now made up by 21 stages from Hamburg to Berlin between 1st and 21st March. This early Grand Tour will make the season long for the Pro Tour riders.
Team Commerzbank's squad is made up by 25 riders from 6 european countries. With 4 swiss, 3 luxembourgian, 13 german, 3 french, 2 belgian and 1 austrian riders it's an all-round squad who can climb, sprint, time-trail and handle cobbles well. Don't be suprised if you're finding them in the top-5 of the PT standings when this season ends, even though it's their first year.
2017 Goals and GT ambitions
Goals:
| Finish in the top 3: Tour de France | | Win Tour de Suisse, Finish in the top 3: Vattenfall Cyclassics | | Finish in the top 5: Volta Ciclista a Catlunya, Win Ronde van Vlaanderen, Finish in the top 5: Tour of Germany |
Tour de France:
Tour de France is still the most important Grand Tour, even though the new Tour of Germany. Commerzbank will send the strongest possible squad.
Leader:
Maxime Bouet
Sprinter:
Justin Jules
Tour of Germany:
Tour of Germany will be the 2nd most important GT this year and we will send as many germans as possible to support Tony Martin
Leader:
Tony Martin
Sprinter:
Tino Thömel
Giro d'Italia:
Italy is pretty closo to Geramny so the Giro is more important than the Vuelta. Nicolas Schnyder will lead team but go for stage wins.
Leader:
Nicolas Schnyder
Sprinter:
?
Vuelta a España:
The Vuelta is on way back and will maybe be replaced by Tour of Germany if they fail to give the public an thrilling course and get fans back to the roadsides. We will send the riders who still feels fresh so it could be a great chanche for a hungry young rider who developes during the season to lead the team.
Leader:
?
Sprinter:
Justin Jules

I love the format of this story, Marc - letting the audience decide aspects of the team's formation, really a great touch. A strong team, too, so I suspect you'll have a fair amount of success.

+1, and kudos for the jersey ANFreeman, I really like it!
Just a question considering the Tour of Germany (which is a fantastic addition imo): As it's exactly 21 days long, I suspect there are no rest days? That'll be a tough challenge.

Pro Tour Teams 2017 - Part I
Sleeping in cave for 6 years? Take it easy this guide will help you to have an good overlook at the PT teams. Which team is the strongest? Which rider have developed most and who are the new kids on the block?
Pro Team Astana
Astana is one of the strongest stage racing teams with 3 experinced leaders, Duarte, Nibali and Gesink. They also hav Delage for cobbled races but they suffer the lack of an fast sprinter. Vaquera is good, but he isn't material for an stage win at any of the Gran Tours.[
Rank: ++++
Eroski - Orbea
Eroski (former Euskaltel Euskadi) is an basque dominated team. It is also one of the weakest teams in Pro Tour. Minguez, Pardo and Verona will lead the team but I think we will find them in Continental next year.
Rank: +
FDJ
FDJ is Peter Sagan. If Sagan has an bad season, FDJ has an bad season. Veelers could do some good results too and there is plenty of decent sprinters here: Feillu, Turgot, Walker, Kluge and Lemoine.
Rank: ++
Gazprom - RedBull
Gazprom (former Katusha) is the strongest team in Pro Tour with 12 riders with 77 or above in average and Roman Kreuziger is their leader. Talking about leaders, there is no real leader behind Kreuziger. There is no great stage racer or sprinter but Gazprom will take points in every race. Will it be enough to win pro Tour?
Rank: +++++
GreenEDGE
GreenEDGE (former HTC) is a team with some good climbers like Van Den Broeck, Gaisor, Jesus Bru, Brajkovic and some crappy Australians. This team will have an real fight to stay in Pro Tour.
Rank: ++
Garmin - Cervélo
Garmin is an good team for the classics with Gavazzi, Breschel, Kolobnev, Pozzatoand Ghyselinck.Galimzyanov is an good sprinter too and this team will probably end up somewher in the middle of Pro Tour since they're missing a GT rider.
Rank: +++
Lampre - Farnese Vini
Lampre's squad contains the best climber in the world, the best stage racer and one of the best sprinters. Agnoli is probably aiming at the Giro, Contador at the Tour and Cav aims at stage wins in both races. Sabatini is another good sprinter and we can also find plenty of good italian climbers for smaller stage-races.
Rank: +++++
Liquigas - Cannondale
Liquigas is the team of Sprinters. Farrar, van Staeyen, Ciolek and Guarnieri. They also have Cancellara and Graziato for cobbles and Cunego and Malacarne for hilly classics. They will probably be in the top of Pro Tour after the spring but they will fade during the summer since they don't have any leader for GT's.
Rank: ++++
