De Lie involving himself is a positive surprise! Super happy to see him land a top 10. It is also encouraging regarding his season in general, if this means we can expect he will try to feature in the sprints.
Congratulations, ryant! Perfectly executed by Cullaigh. |

Commenting before I read stage 2:
Obviously a fantastic start for Rodenberg. He already accomplished what I wanted, which was to sneak into the bonifications on one of the stages to set himself up for a minor GC. Followed the right wheel and got rewarded, just like last year. Very happy with that. Hopefully that puts him in a good position with the epilogue now.
Only worrying thing is that SKA was so far back that he could easily miss a split. I want him in touch for a minor GC as well, so it worries me.

Strong day by Kemboi. Had the right wheel and delivered nicely. Well done. I need more like this though

Back down to earth from Rodenberg was expected. Seems like he picked a good wheel again but just didn't have the extra gear to actually keep up with Cullaigh this time. No shame in that at all in such a deep field, and certainly luckier than a lot of teams so far. As I said before, we just wanted to get in the bonifications, and we did that. Now I'd just like to get Rodenberg and SKA into the epilogue in one piece. If Rodenberg can luck into another result, even better.
Thanks for the reports!

Much better from Kooij despite being on his own. Too bad it wasn't a win. Another stage like this and we are set.

Team with best lead out set up has won the race after an unlucky stage 1, two more wins to come shortly

At least it can't get much worse? Gaviria's wage decreasing will make him easier to sell? There are other positives maybe? |

Our lead-out seems to be pretty decent, interesting to see Teutenberg second to last instead of Rickaert this time. Dainese should have done better from that position, though.

Picking the wrong wheel again but not getting so lucky this time, that’s what’ll happen to you. Hopefully he can slot in behind one of the main trains tomorrow. Thanks for the report!

Another good try by De Lie, but not so lucky this time around. He just seemed spent very early, probably having his nose slightly in the wind a bit more than on the first stage, I guess.
Congratulations on the win, quadsas, and thank you for another report, cunego! |

It's looking pretty bleak for us so far. I don't have a train for Philipsen here, but seeing as we are sending riders in the breakaway I'm guessing the AI has us quite low on the priority list so I doubt we'd be getting a train even if Rajovic/Siric were here.
Fingers crossed Philipsen can improve in the next 3 stages.

If these results are anything to go by, then relegation is very much a theme…
I guess my PRL riders need to carry is through depth. A top result is impossible by now. Awful results.

That picture with the flamme rouge in sight is magnificent. Not sure how Kooij didn't deliver from there. I guess he's trusting Zijlaard too much for his own good and doesn't time his launch well. On the plus side at least he scored some more bonus seconds.

The last sprinter won't launch unless they have the red bar to make it to the finish line so looks like the leadout took too much red bar away from Kooji compared to the other leadouts |

Not sure what i like of starting a leadout train and abandoning it. Imo my leadout should be quite strong here so if we get one i would like to see it go through

Get in! Much more messy lead-out this time, but on the contrary a much better sprint from Dainese! Great to take a stage win.
Dainese will probably lose ~50 seconds in the epilogue, so we still need top results to avoid dropping like a stone in the GC. Hope we can keep it up!

The lottery continues! Rodenberg performing miracles apart from the 2nd stage.
It was exciting for Groves to podium the first stage but to then follow it up with 17th and 12th is bitterly disappointing.

So Zijlaard as lead out might not be the smartest move
