Disappointed by the completely anonymity from the team. Had hoped the stage might suit Moschetti but it was slightly too hard. Would've appreciated seeing someone like Froidevaux in the break...

Weird stage. Can anyone let me know if stages like this are normal in this PCM? Strange that the pure sprinters and even some of the hilly sprinters didn't bother to contest.

This stage is raced harder then it looks on profile and most of the time the sprinters never get back to the front the downhill run to the finish means positions are also hard to make up so really there only 5km to line for positions to be made so it's more like a sprint between hill riders.

Worked pretty much as intended as well so pretty happy with the result overall took a long time for me and UU to find this type of stage Grin

Moscon wise very good attentive to the attacks and in a nice position for the sprint he will never be a factor in hopefully hes as attentive on stage 5Grin

Had hoped Kalaba could play a role in this stage, but keeping AvN at the front is more important overall

Ah makes sense, thought it looked longer on the profile but I guess the short stage does that. Glad it's intended and not some classic PCM weirdness then. Smile

I can't gurantee they'll all work as well as this so me and UU will take the little wins Grin

Much better stage for us. MVD doing what he had to, Boileau showing he can hang it with the best. Would've preferred the order to be the other way round but can't really complain about two in the Top 5.

Congrats to Fab and thanks for the report Smile

Not the best day one, but wasn't awful, trains can be a real crapshoot and i'm sure next time it'll work out.

Day two meanwhile was great. Lagane doing exactly what he was brought here for, showing good strength (and his usual weakness of not being able to capitalise on presented opporunities). Eriksson burried nicely in there around the other major expected protagonists too.

Still feeling good.

My cheeky call here is going to be Paez even if he isn't mentioned anywhere.

Good to see us aggressive on the climbs. But would have liked us to be more attentive at the end. If we bring that level of effort to the Willunga Hill stage maybe it will pay off.

KOM lead is a small consolation, doubt we are in a position to retain that.

Was absolutely a great call - just the kind of rider who can finish off these types of stages. Think the new classifications will show their impact here more than expected now that I see how stage 2 goes.

Happy with third place on the day for Madouas, a good start for him. Also not bad to get those 6 KoM points, who knows if they won't come in handy in the end. Single and Mansouri in the Top 35 gives me hope that they might be able to score some depth GC points here, which would be neat, and maybe they can even get us somewhere near the top in the teams classification.

Congrats Fab on the win, very nice job by Paez and a great bounce-back after DUC!

Had no real optimism for this particular stage and so not surprised to see us be a non-factor. Smith losing time is disappointing, especially on a stage where Hayakawa stayed in front, as I figured there was a small chance we could get some depth scoring out of him on the GC.

Kinoshita is still well-placed though...

First stage win of the season! This is why we bought you APP! Banana

Another stage where finishing near the front is good enough for us

Yep that's Lagane alright, somewhere roughly around the mix but not making use of his abilities. Atleast Eriksson didn't lose anything so we're still very much in play at the halfway stage.

Clearly don't have the sprinting ability to be in at the finish, one hill stage left to make a difference.

Nice win by APP, the value of that sprint stat coming him. Congrats to Heine.

Very nice 5th from Cerny. Really thought he'd blow up like on stage 2 but actually held on in front of a bunch of better riders, not sure I could hope for much better than that. Although would've been nice if Tesfatsion went for it again with his decent sprint stat though to get a few seconds, seems he got caught a long way back.

I definitely misjudged the difficulty of this race thinking there would be some bigger selections. Curious how big the gaps will be on Willunga then, wouldn't be upset if it's easy enough for El Sabbahi and Cerny to hold onto top 20 GC positions. Although probably suits us better still if Tesfatsion gets a chance to move up.

Thanks for another nice report kandesbunzler! And congrats heine!

Would really love if our team found their way into the breakaway - definitely worried that we aren't getting any sort of bonus seconds and aren't going to be top contenders on stage 5. Maybe things look better than I assume with McCarthy at least attempting an attack.

Great stage to read though!

Nice to see my former rider Oliveira in the mix. Congrats Heine! Grin

Our strategy is terrible for GC. Kamberaj lost unnecessary time on stage 2, Oliveira didn't care on stage 2, on stage 3 we ride to catch the break instead of doing a leadout and Oliveira burns out too early. All the wrong moves.
