Mozzato as an allround domestique for classics and sprints and maybe a stage hunter is a good addition. And I really hope Mestric can do fine for you, he's such a good regional fit and I'm glad we made the deal work!

We have signed who figures to be two of our leaders this year.
Last year, Dutch sprinter Nick van der Lijke secured the majority of our victories. So, we signed a new Dutch sprinter.
| Bram Welten | 4.100 | 29yo | Sprinter | €140.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | | 76 | 64 | 67 | 69 | 58 | 72 | 71 | 82 | 73 | 79 | 75 | 56 | 67 | 59 |
He joins us from Zwift - Newton Foundation for 400k
Another deal sees us ship Colombian duo Jhonatan Restrepo and Freddy Alejandro Avila (plus some cash) to SEE Turtles for this next rider
| Santiago Montenegro | 4.100 | 28yo | Hilly rider | €130.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | | 69 | 70 | 74 | 77 | 64 | 71 | 73 | 72 | 62 | 64 | 74 | 73 | 68 | 64 |

I can't be mad Welten ended up here. Montenegro is a neat pick-up too. Team is coming together!

As the others said, those two should be capable CT leaders. And although they probably won't lead you to promotion this season you also won't have to replace them because of declines next transfers which should put you in a much better position then.

We have signed two more free agents to help our leaders.
| Timo Roosen | 4.100 | 33yo | Cobbler | €50.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | | 73 | 58 | 64 | 70 | 62 | 69 | 71 | 72 | 74 | 65 | 69 | 75 | 63 | 66 |
| Valerio Conti | 4.100 | 33yo | Climber | €50.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | | 66 | 74 | 74 | 74 | 65 | 68 | 69 | 72 | 54 | 67 | 72 | 69 | 65 | 65 |
As we are stretched pretty thinly on wages, we would need to sell riders before we get further onboard, so this might be the final roster for the 2026 season.

I hope Roosen will have a (final?) good year for you, he's been decent in the C2 cobbles last season (although prior to his decline). Conti is a nice regional minimum wage domestique.

It will be interesting to see if Montenegro can repeat last season's heroics. Some fun additions for the cobbled races as well

Scrambling to the finish line
The last couple of days ended up being way more hectic, than we anticipated.
Firstly, we mutually terminated the contract of Lukas Talacka, who wanted to try his luck at a rap career.
Then we sold Filippo Zana, to make room for some upgrades. Fun fact. With Zana leaving, every single rider who won us anything last year, is no longer with the team.
Finally, we decided to use Johan Price-Pejtersen as part of payment in a deal.
Those outgoings, left us room for some incoming riders.
Cuneo born Pietro Mattio joins us a junior rider, who we can hopefully develop into someone marginally useful.
| Pietro Mattio | 1.00 | 22yo | Junior prospect | €20.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | | 69 | 63 | 63 | 63 | 62 | 68 | 70 | 65 | 65 | 64 | 70 | 65 | 69 | 63 |
Next up, is Ecuadorian Pita Hidrobo, who looks to be a decent climber/stage racer at some point.
| Alejandro Pita Hidrobo | 1.00 | 22yo | Junior prospect | €50.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | | 69 | 69 | 67 | 65 | 68 | 67 | 64 | 67 | 62 | 65 | 71 | 74 | 69 | 64 |
Apparently, we like people from Ecuador. SASH! would be so proud. Our third rider this window from the South American nation is HM Lopez, who is an important climbing domestique, but he will get his own chances.
| Harold Martin Lopez | 4.100 | 26yo | Climber | €50.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | | 65 | 76 | 74 | 72 | 69 | 70 | 73 | 71 | 58 | 62 | 67 | 63 | 63 | 67 |
Finally, we ended up dealing Price-Pejtersen in a last minuted deal, which in turn sends Basque puncheur Oier Lazkano to our team.
| Oier Lazkanao | 4.100 | 27yo | Puncheur | €50.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | | 65 | 71 | 74 | 77 | 60 | 68 | 71 | 70 | 60 | 64 | 75 | 79 | 62 | 60 |
That leaves our roster for the upcoming season looking like this, but before the CT draft, where we can't expect to draft world beaters.
| Nat. | Name | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | | Bram Welten | 76 | 64 | 67 | 69 | 58 | 72 | 71 | 82 | 73 | 79 | 75 | 56 | 67 | 59 | 76,04 | 29 | | Santiago Montenegro | 69 | 70 | 74 | 77 | 64 | 71 | 73 | 72 | 62 | 64 | 74 | 73 | 68 | 64 | 74,65 | 28 | | Giulio Ciccone | 67 | 77 | 75 | 73 | 71 | 70 | 70 | 73 | 50 | 51 | 69 | 59 | 59 | 79 | 74,51 | 32 | | Oier Lazkano | 65 | 71 | 74 | 77 | 60 | 68 | 71 | 70 | 60 | 64 | 75 | 79 | 62 | 60 | 74,19 | 27 | | Harold Martin Lopez | 65 | 76 | 74 | 72 | 69 | 70 | 73 | 71 | 58 | 62 | 67 | 63 | 63 | 67 | 73,75 | 26 | | Matija Mestric | 73 | 63 | 67 | 70 | 63 | 69 | 70 | 68 | 76 | 55 | 65 | 71 | 75 | 67 | 73,49 | 29 | | Jacopo Mosca | 70 | 71 | 73 | 74 | 62 | 71 | 73 | 66 | 59 | 64 | 73 | 79 | 70 | 67 | 73,48 | 33 | | Valerio Conti | 66 | 74 | 74 | 74 | 65 | 68 | 69 | 72 | 54 | 67 | 72 | 69 | 65 | 65 | 73,45 | 33 | | Timo Roosen | 73 | 58 | 64 | 70 | 62 | 69 | 71 | 72 | 74 | 65 | 69 | 75 | 63 | 66 | 73,05 | 33 | | Simone Consonni | 72 | 58 | 64 | 69 | 64 | 71 | 76 | 76 | 66 | 75 | 75 | 65 | 62 | 65 | 72,84 | 32 | | Juan Sebastian Molano | 70 | 61 | 64 | 66 | 61 | 65 | 71 | 75 | 62 | 75 | 77 | 63 | 65 | 62 | 72,69 | 32 | | Luca Mozzato | 73 | 59 | 59 | 70 | 58 | 71 | 72 | 64 | 71 | 73 | 72 | 72 | 71 | 61 | 72,25 | 28 | | Leonardo Basso | 72 | 66 | 69 | 71 | 71 | 76 | 71 | 71 | 72 | 70 | 67 | 61 | 68 | 71 | 72,15 | 33 | | Martijn Tusveld | 70 | 71 | 71 | 70 | 71 | 66 | 71 | 72 | 60 | 66 | 64 | 67 | 68 | 70 | 71,2 | 33 | | Alessandro Pinarello | 67 | 68 | 69 | 70 | 57 | 70 | 67 | 65 | 58 | 61 | 66 | 65 | 65 | 57 | 69,44 | 23 | | Fran Miholjevic | 71 | 63 | 65 | 67 | 71 | 70 | 69 | 70 | 53 | 56 | 63 | 68 | 68 | 73 | 69,13 | 24 | | Alejandro Pita Hidrobo | 69 | 69 | 67 | 65 | 68 | 67 | 64 | 67 | 62 | 65 | 71 | 74 | 69 | 64 | 68,44 | 22 | | Pietro Mattio | 69 | 63 | 63 | 63 | 62 | 68 | 70 | 65 | 65 | 64 | 70 | 65 | 69 | 63 | 67,42 | 22 |
All in all, we are pretty happy with our squad, which looks stronger than last year.

The CT free rider draft has concluded, and we picked up the following riders:
| Morten Wang Baksaas | 1.00 | 22yo | Junior prospect | €0 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | | 69 | 57 | 62 | 67 | 62 | 65 | 70 | 65 | 63 | 69 | 70 | 65 | 68 | 65 |
Morten is decent at many things, and probably projects to become a lead out rider for the sprints in the future
| Alessandro Fancellu | 3.30 | 26yo | Climber | €0 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | | 69 | 68 | 69 | 67 | 62 | 69 | 69 | 65 | 59 | 65 | 70 | 70 | 67 | 66 |
Alessandro is an older prospect, but still with room to grow. We expect him to become a helpful domestique when the terrain rises.
That leaves this as the final roster for the year.

While he left our team before racing for us I hope Lazkano does well for you!
Welten should be a good one, a very good sprinter at this level, other than that I think you will need to plan well considering your in general low energy stats. Will be fun to see if Basso can do another good year!

Decent squad for sure Riders who can compete on every terrain (other than TT I guess), which should make for a fun season to follow. Don't think the team is at the level to compete for promotion yet, but a good step forward compared to last year!

Promotion is not a goal for me. I just want to have fun. If, one day, I am able to promote, it will be fine, but I am just a tired, old man having a good time
