Lapeira is a great long-term piece, and Beletta is a true contender for the coolest talent of the class, congrats on both!

Fantastic group of incoming riders. Lapeira is of course awesome and all four unmaxed riders are really cool - Bettles was someone i hoped would go under the radar but obviously you had him on your mind already Grin

Stop signing riders for C2 races Pfft

Nice riders in general, but Belletta and Chesini stand out as future top talents in your own sponsor country. Chesini at 100k is a steal, and one day Belletta will win a monument. Heard it here first!

Signings V2

Well thats pretty much a wrap on our transfers so for the 2nd half lets see where we got too...

After a huge bidding war erupted for MVP and Pithie we ended up signing the Dutchman for 975k for Bolt-Eesti, a large amount for a man entering his 30's but with the scoring we know he can bring we really wanted to make sure this transfer happens as he was our number 1 priority all off-season. We expect him to mix some easy cobbles with leadership roles at Hilly Stage races and classics.

Georgios Stavrakakis and Constantinos Iannou join us in loans from our friends at Elco-Abea with The Stav also coming with a boost in Cobble stats up to 78. Expect both to feature multiple times this season with the Stav a sneaky points scorer.

Danny Van Poppel comes into to be our sprinter for the season we aren't expecting miracles just to be in the top 10 on most sprint stages will be enough and he should have plenty freedom to lead races.

Alexandor Cataford joins back with the first manager who ever bought him into pro cycling Grin we are hopeful of a few good top 20's from him in the season.

Patrick Olesen is another signed for C2 races with a couple in mind mainly he will also be a good domestique on hilly classics for our two leaders.

Paul Penhoet is a fun Sprinting prospect who will be able to cobble as well, he gives us a sprinting option longer term that we don't currently have across the team.

The definitely Lithuanian Van Mechelen is on loan from DK Zalgiris he should play a couple of really important roles in the cobbled season while Michael Leonard gives us another TT rider we are sorely missing currently.

Finally our 3rd Italian Giovane prodigio Andrea Raccagni proving once asking that if you stick a high ST youngster in front of me I refuse to say no

Very cool story of the Cataford reunion Smile And will cheer for MvdP wherever he goes (especially if it's in a different division), excited what he can do for you this year!

Roster complete for 2026; all in all, a solid build but just missed out on the extra mountain rider to make this a real promotion contender. I expect around 2500- 2800 pts, which is slap bang in mid-table. We could have gone for another leader to maybe push us up further with Andrea Raccagni's wage, but in the end went for the talent over quality.

I expect MVDP and Lapeira to lead us in scoring Lapeira in particular, to be a big bright spot for the team going forward and could have some fun training routes to maximise his potential. Though for now MVDP will be our top scorer.

Moscon has had to take on a real mixed approach in planning, sacrificing himself at times so we can overall score at a better rate with the bands we ended up with.

Danny Van Poppel had some controversy around his signing but had to be brought in to do a job of just picking up consistent points in sprint races we have. He's not outstanding but is in there to be consistently bagging points.

Special notes for Gabburo, Olesen and Noppe who lead us in our C2 races at different points this season and should all be able to have a strong performance in there choosen races.

Then just a special note that with all the talents we've signed this is how they could look into next year as for the first time in our 3 years back in the MG we now have started to build a core for the future.

Obviously there was some frustration on my end regarding the Van Poppel overbid at the time. Apologies if I let the stress of those first days get the better of me. In the end, it worked out fine for me as it gave me the wage flexibility to pursue stuff like Pedersen for Per. With a two week window, that's usually the case. Though I'm still curious what about Van Poppel made you prefer him at that price to the cheaper but very similar options like Samolenkov, Bonifazio, Grosu, etc.

Ultimately sad I didn't go further on Olesen to get him back as I would have had the wage cap in the end to do so, but I'm always too hesitant on domestiques early in the window. Getting him below his possible renewals wage is a steal. But happy to know he will have some chances for himself in C2 in his final maxed season, he's earned those.

Very interesting team you've put together here. Surprised to see the stamina focus only show up in your two leaders (and a couple of talents), but maybe the meta is shifting? (I can hope Pfft). I agree that you probably needed a decent climber to be a promotion contender, but I've learned not to doubt your plans. Grin

No worries BB, the reason is actually pretty simple I needed a sprinter that wouldn't get a leadout train but would be considered in all sprint so his sprint stat had to be exactly 80 (Grosu would get a sprint train too much, Bonifazio wouldn't be considered to sprint in PTHC to the level needed. So it became between 3 Van Poppel, Samolenkov and Holst Enger. Holst enger was already at 240k and wasn't guranteed this wouldn't go higher and with Oleg bidding on Samolenkov I felt that it may only take one bid on Van Poppel for cheaper then Holst Enger to get him which turned out to be correct.

The problem was it wasn't part of my plans as I had multiple times deals lined up for Pithie and MVdP which would have then meant going for a 78 SP rider (it was Nomella) as a backup sprinter but thats neither here nor there now.

Apologies once again how late the bid was glad it worked out Smile

We all know you did the maths, so when this team promotes there'll be no surprises. Lapeira is such a fun rider!

Very interested to see your lineup and points expectation. Also surprised not to see more stamina focus. Well done getting talents hired while I chased ones that I ultimately couldn't afford.
