SEE Turtles Return for a 4th Season in CT
SEE Turtles aims to connect “people with sea turtles in meaningful, personal, and memorable ways.” A fantastic third season saw major successes while maintaining the focus on TTTs results. An investment in the hills and stage racing gave our team our best promotion chances in our history and will try to build upon that result.
All credits to liefwarrior and many thanks for helping create this vision!
Proudly displaying the shells of these beautiful creatures on our jerseys, SEE Turtles hopes that their continued investment in the MGUCI will provide an opportunity to educate riders, staff, and fans on the important conservation efforts to protect sea turtles across the globe. Find out more about our mission: https://www.seeturtles.org/about-see-...ee-turtles
As a team, SEE Turtles bases itself out of the Galapagos Islands. Here, we will establish ourselves as a champion for Ecuadorian cycling. Our mission extends beyond the Galapagos with aims of fostering cycling across the Americas and the Caribbean, as our administrative headquarters sit in Portland, Oregon. Even more, we recognize the global impact of sea turtle conservation and want to promote cycling outside of Europe. Hopefully our successes represent the wealth of skill, beauty, and perseverance of our home nations. Our sponsors and our worldwide impact can be seen throughout our history with so many national champions. A potential change for 2026 comes in the openness for a single global ambassador from Europe to spearhead our charge.
As a sign of our commitment to the sport, SEE Turtles has decided to continue as the SOLE sponsor for the 2026 season! SEE Turtles is looking forward to welcoming further sponsors in the event of advancement, but remains committed to the cause of Ecuadorian cycling. SEE Turtles is excited to join with future sponsorship in the event of promotion into higher divisions.
We look forward to competing alongside the rest of the Continental Division and contributing to such a wonderful cycling community.

SEE Turtles Post Renewals Roster
Headlining our renewals are Elias Abou Rachid and Santiago Montenegro, our two key signings from our "blockbuster" trade with Everesting last off-season. Both take a substantial wage increase due to their successes last season. While we'd prefer them to donate their services, both should still be able to battle above their wage.
Tivani returns as our sole sprinter after a challenging 2025. Ganjkhanlou simply was unwilling to trade time with the Argentinian which resulted in both taking on subpar opportunities.
Our TTT squad returns Main, Oka, Kelly, Nyoni and Cardona to go alongside Rachid on the important stages. Hepburn was allowed to depart in his declining status while Barta and team management simply could not come to a final agreement.
For developmentals, we are excited to see the final form of Obando and Lopez, who should both contribute strongly when the road goes uphill. Sheffield will continue in our structure alongside Revelo, Huera, and Tuyizere. Our 4.xx crew will likely be looking for a loan-out home for this upcoming season with all being strong options for most teams.
Many thanks to the riders contributing to our 2025 season who simply could not remain with us for 2026: Hepburn, Barta, Frame, Ganjkhanlou, Merchan, Vermaerke, Senyenov, and Stroll.
Lots of time to develop a plan heading into the 2026 season, but a fun preview should indicate that no maxed rider is off limits during the transfer period.

Doesn't need much to go from agony to a title challenge, such a solid core just one big name can do it. Come on Turtles, we're all believing in you!

Maybe I could help out with some loans if I have roster space.

Biggest takeaways:
- Very proud to have managed to come out ahead on the salaries even with my two most expensive riders needing to take a larger salary.
- Not all of the "Yes" riders will be leaving, but we have to consider whether their departures could be better for the team. We expect to hear at least a few offers for them.
- The TTT squad is in the "Maybe" category in case the team takes a new direction this year. They're also much more likely to become available in swaps compared to cash deals.
- Our PT Loan riders will be a priority to max
- Lopez and Obando deserve at least one season to show their skills maxed, but if there's interest, we shall listen.

I very much respect guys who can really get those cuts up and down the roster in renewals. It adds up! Great work.

Sheffield and our management do love poutine! Some time in Northern NY and many a trip to Ottawa and Toronto might need to put poutine on the SEE Turtles' permanent menu. Other important dishes to the Turtles include sweet plantains and swedish meatballs for anyone willing to trade in culinary secrets.
A wonderful home for talents I'm sure! On the flipside, we haven't always been good about leaving lots of room for loanees, but we're going to try to improve on that this year. Especially folks willing to handle paying their own wage while I pay the fee (although surely an agreement could be made for the right rider under any circumstances).

It was a struggle and did see a few riders we wished would stay on the block, but we know we need room for at least one major rider and cutting space was the only way we could.
While we love everyone on our team, there is no one management feels we can't continue without. Maybe even EVERYONE will go.
Many thanks to all in supporting our team throughout the seasons! We look forwarding to discussing options throughout the transfer season and year!
