PCM 2011 installation crash on Windows 11 - Error Code 87 (StarForce)

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to install and run Pro Cycling Manager 2011 on Windows 11, but I'm stuck right after the installation process with a DRM/driver error.
When I launch the game, a pop-up appears saying:
"To run the application, you need to install driver on your computer. Would you like to install it now?"
If I click "Yes", it immediately triggers a crash with the following message:
• Fatal Error (5.70.024.000)
• Unhandled exception in the Helper Application.
• Type: class LCommon::System::ServiceControl::Service::Exception
• Location: void __cdecl LCommon::System::ServiceControl::Service::Start(void)
• Line: 507
• Error Code: 87
I suspect this is a compatibility issue between Windows 11 and the old StarForce DRM protection drivers included on the disc, as modern Windows blocks them for security reasons.
Has anyone managed to solve this specific error on Windows 11? I own a legal copy of the game and would appreciate any help or shared experience on how to get it working. Do I need any specific executable, a digital version, or a tool to update/remove the StarForce drivers to make it work?

I wish I could help more. I haven't had this error. My only advice is that it you are likely right that it is a disc problem, as I just installed the digital version I had from Amazon on my Windows 11 PC and it works.

Que raro, no es problema del disco porque la versión que yo tengo es también la digital descargable.Al menos me satisface saber que el problema no es de incompatibilidad con Windows 11. Gracias. |

Hi! I just tried installing those files into the game folder and it works perfectly. Thank you so much. I asked Cyanide support for help and they didn't give me any solution. It's a shame that, because of the anti-copy mechanisms they used back then, the game doesn't work on modern Windows versions even when owning an original copy of the game. Once again, I want to thank you for your help. |

I'm happy for you if you can play it  By change do you have the database "Full Cycling Manager 2011 on your side? I'm searching it but impossible to find it. |

Yes, I have the original database that comes with the game. Are you looking for the original one or for a custom/updated database? |
