The 2025 season comes to an end and Ekoi - Le Creuset are crowned champions. They didn't score a lot in Emilia but their lead was sufficient, and they win the division by just under 200 points. Nevertheless, the fight was much closer this year than last, all the top 5 teams this year would have finished 5th last year.
The podium does change with Zalgiris and MOL both jumping into the podium spots on the back of 3rd and 2nd in the final race. Bolt - Eesti and Assa Abloy drop to 4th and 5th after not scoring but both will still return to the Pro Tour next season. Congrats to KB, Quad, Jaxika, JPH and Sykkel on achieving automatic promotion.
Specialized faded a little down the stretch but have no trouble holding on to 6th and a likely disband promotion spot. Hunter Valley seized the likely last promotion spot with a huge race in South Africa which offset some tough luck earlier in the season. They held on in Emilia as neither of their challengers could put up a strong enough result. Congrats also to WJ and LLS for making it to the top. With HVC promoting all 4 relegated teams from last year (who didn't disband) bounce right back up.
The mid-table remains largely unchanged with the only move being Stannard's win bumping Everesting past Tryg, Minions, Gjensidige and Spark.
The other news is something that didn't happen. JEWA couldn't mount a last race come back as they were slightly outscored in Emilia by Sauber who earned the last safe spot by 18 points.
JEWA join Colombini, Simba, IESE and DeNA in dropping down a division. Best of luck to those managers in terrorizing the CT next year.

Exactly 500 riders scored a point or more in the PCT this season (55 riders did not score). Of those Coquard was number 1. He was 4th last year so back-to-back top 5s for him. Ewan also achieves that feat (2nd and 3rd). Jorgenson finishes 2nd this year, coming up just 1 spot shy of going back-to-back in the CT and PCT individual points title.
The final race doesn't have much impact on the individual points standings with Hirschi, Amezawa, and Lutsenko all moving up one place at the expense of Ranaweera. Still a great season for the Ekoi man. Further down the bigger move is Stannard who jumps from 25th to 13th. Still a decline from his 7th last year.
Hunter Valley win the depth award, having no riders in the top 10 points scorers, but 8 in the top 100.

With 8 CT teams promoting last season, it's nice to see that the entire disband group doesn't come from those 8 (although I'm sure the others would prefer not to be rejoining the CT ranks). Having to stay up or go down by just 18 points is heart-wrenching stuff and I know that I would've struggled to read that final report knowing how close it was.
PCT has always been the most fun division for me to observe - great racing alongside for part of the season while not feeling the pressure of seeing my guys perform their most of the time. Thanks to everyone who animated the reports and threads throughout to make this an awesome division.
Huge congrats to Ekoi as well! Not sure anyone had them at 1st, but what a huge season from them. Leading a well-deserving group of folks into promotion I believe. But still, what a fantastic campaign that was unexpected for sure.

Huge congrats to KB with Ekoi! Shame on my prediction to put you in 11th, even though I can live with this quote:
"A team that in my opinion has breakout potential to do better than the position, but my points place them in 11th"
So my feeling was better than my preseason setup
Congrats to everyone who promotes! And I hope everyone who relegates get a good season of retooling (though I will mainly cheer for guys who have never promoted to promote...), relegating by 18 pts, and not promoting by 18 pts must suck, but use it as motivation!

Congrats KB on a huge victory, awesome to see you win the division!
Cool to see a decent split with 4 teams returning to PT and 3 going up for the first time, especially excited to see what the new teams can do.
Happy to see our Malaysian friends keep themselves in the PCT on the last day, congrats Sammy! Commiserations to Blasing - as someone who has missed out on things by similar margins previously it really sucks. Sorry you guys didn’t manage to stay up, but I’m sure you’ll bounce straight back up next season.

Before the season, I would've taken 11th place in a heartbeat, so I'm very happy with how the year turned out. Amezawa did what I hoped he would as a new team leader, Girmay did well, and we had decent scoring from most of the rest of the team, even with one or two disappointments.
Congrats to Ekoi and all the promoting teams, and good luck in the top flight! And to everyone else who is happy with their season. Commiserations to the relegating teams, and thank you to all the reporters and everyone else who made this season work once again

First of all, thank you very much to the reporters and everyone else that has helped with ranking updates, previews and other tasks behind the scenes this season! This season has been very smooth and consistent, so a big thank you to everyone who contributed
We end the season in 5th, maybe slightly below expectation, but nevertheless a result we can be happy with. Especially as the top of the table was extremely tight this year, and one more good result could have slingshotted us all the way up to 2nd. Nothing to be done with Ekoi, though. An extremely impressive season by them, and a huge congrats to kb on a deserved division title!
In terms of rider performance, Gesbert clearly stand out as a big positive this season, obviously benefitting from the addition of medium mountain as well as the increased importance of stamina. Also very happy with the contribution from our domestiques this year, with multiple breakaway wins and KoM jerseys. Culey stand out in that regard, scoring 200 points despite one of the lowest AVG's in the team. On the flipside, Wisniowski's age is clearly catching up with him, and he was not up to par this season, which we obviously will be mindful of in renewals.
Commiserations to the relegating managers. Hope to quickly to see you bounce back! And congrats to our fellow promoting teams, looking forward to race you in PT next season

First of all thank you to Ulrich for the final update, it's obviously been a pleasure to read!
Also thanks for all the congratulations, it's been a marvelous season for us and winning a division is clearly something that will always stand out in the team history! I'm also looking forward to face all those teams promoting with us again next season (although I would have really liked to see Laurens going up as well).
And although I'm not hoping to be back in the division soon I really think PCT is really fun overall! So let's hope all those going down will be back soon!

Thanks UU for the final update
Huge congrats to kandesbunzler for winning the division, crazy stuff! And good luck to Ekoi and all promoting teams, I'll be watching you closely in PT.
It was an amazing season with lots of overperformances from a variety of riders (Min, Vasyliv, Spanopoulos, Daniel, ...). Although I must admit it's a bitter aftertaste coming so close to promotion. Not that we had a PT fitting roster, but it would have been a cool experience.
Now we turn our focus on the offseason. I might approach the team composition slightly differently next year; I haven't quite decided yet.
And a final thank you to all reports and everyone else for running this!

Thanks for the FInal ranking and all the updates during the season too.
As expected we reached our goal, being last ????
But with the structure of our team and how we planned the whole season this had to happen. All was planned toward experience and development so even a guy like Cras couldnt show too much because the lack of support.
But we had a few highlights and are happy about this.

Glad to survive and not get sent back to CT. Jorgenson had to do some very heavy lifting this season, so hopefully we can get him some more point scorers next season to challenge for promotion.
Thanks everybody behind the scenes that kept this season running so smoothly. Job well done!

Back to square one I guess. Honestly, I can't keep yo-yoing between divisions for much longer and I haven't decided if I'll have the motivation to continue after the 2026 season.
Still, this PCT season has been better than my other two (equally pitiful outing) with few goals achieved, but the Tour of America collapse still stings and I still lick the wounds from the Olympia TTT fiasco.
GG to those who will go to PT. And commiserations go to my other fallen comrades.

Been pretty clear in a few threads that surviving is job done for this season, getting Uijtdebroeks, Poole and Ju up to lvl 3 was the aim, while slowly building out a competitive PCT roster. We have Faglum Karlsson for next season, but Bettiol and Stallaert (who are still very likely to be a serviceable CT leaders) will be unlikely to play a part after their coming declines. We also have Willwohl, Lyu and a bunch of solid doms to keep around, so this coming transfer season should be fun but a little less hectic than last year’s full new roster build.
Congrats to all of those who hit their goals this season, commiserations to those who didn’t, and thanks as ever to the stellar reporters and admins who keep this game going year after year! Onto another one

At the start of the season I was looking at the calendar and realised that as we weren't riding the final race, there was a good chance we'd drop a couple of places on the final day. Turns out I was right about that, but less right about that potentially relegating us, rather than dropping from 2nd to 4th...
Promotion is a pleasant surprise, even if it is slightly terrifying thinking about how to turn this current roster into one capable of competing in PT. This is I think the the 5th time we've been promoted to PT and possibly challenges our division title in 2025 as the most enjoyable of those seasons. 47% of our cap being taken up by unmaxed riders who contributed 8% of our points between them is pretty incredible to think about, and hopefully sets things up well for the future.
Massive congratulations to the others who promoted, and particularly to kb on the division title with a very similar team build in terms of expensive unmaxed riders! Looking forward to the competition next season to stay up in PT, even if my current planning for that is non-existent - might just use the CT plan and see what happens |

Guys, the 6 of our 16 is the wrong way up
It's such a relief to avoid the drop, halfway through the season I was convinced I was going down and even though we were ahead going into the final race it still feels like we escaped rather than had control of our own fate.
Commiserations to Blasing that's a very tough way to go down and there really wasn't much between us in the end.
We really needed this survival to keep our project on track, it would have been the worst year to go down with us not having a suitable training target until next season.
Crazy to think Hirschi scored less points than last season despite his training, yet still finished in the top 10 of the individual rankings despite having such a disappointing season.
