Congrats jph! Ranaweera staying with the front group was the minimum goal and with those huge gaps behind the U25 win is also already gone, but Vauquelin and Garibian look at least safe in 2nd and 3rd there.

Okay Shikai is actually dreadful. How has he not made the finishing group?? He's single-handedly cost me a shot at promotion this season. Very disappointing.

Reis in the front group, picking up KoM points and finishing with Vosekalns. That exceeds expectations. Now only to get these new expectations killed by the next stage

Wish Jack Burke did more of that when he was on my team... Great win for the Canadian. Also pleased with a podium finish from Elosegui. Looks like his stamina paid off nicely in that stage.

Stage 4 should be the big decider then with pretty much no difference here. Fingers still crossed. I was scared when we had a strong group in front

Not great from Sosa, seemed asleep most of the stage, gave me a similar vibe here last year. Great work from Osorio to be in the final group though and a nice ride from Riabushenko on stage one.
Clever move from Burke, none of the top favorites wanting to chase him. Congrats to JPH on a nice stage win.

Burke has had a fairly poor season so I wasn't expecting him to be in the front group, let alone attacking to take a stage win! I'd be surprised if he manages to hold on to the lead beyond stage 4, but even if not it's still some unexpected points that could be crucial in the promotion race. Thanks for the congratulations everyone! |

KOM lead, holding onto the back of the lead group and gaining bonus seconds to jump up to 4th GC is far better than we expected from Misbah on that stage, hopefully he can hold on to a strong position on stage 4 as he looks up for the fight.

We're there I guess, but not quite where we need to be. But always lovely to see a Canadian take home a victory even if he's not in our colours!

So close for Abdul Halil! He’s accumulated a handfull of second places this season, but still waiting for the win. One more chance on the last stage, crossing my fingers it will go well!
Good 2nd stage by AHJ as well, but he’s in a difficult position. Probably not strong enough to maintain a top 10 GC on the next mountain stage, and probably too high in the GC to be allowed in the breakaway to chase KoM points.

Two Top 10s for Willems is solid and Amezawa was very encouraging on stage 2. Hopefully he can continue and get us a strong GC finish. Thanks for the reports!
