Spectacular implosion from Reis. Will be difficult to get any satisfaction from this race now

Misbah did ok on the stage, managing to avoid bigger time losses

14th with s.t. as 17th is just not the result we expect or need from Rodrigues. We need to get our act together guys!
Congrats on the win UU!

Well that could hardly of gone better. Best ride by Sosa since we got him, much tougher competition than in the TOA.
I think the early attack was the perfect strategy, force the other guys who aren't as punchy into the red early. Got all our climbers here in support (other than Yates) so hopefully that is good enough to prevent a total implosion.
Thanks to Alex for the report.

Nice Top 5 to start, but hoping for even better as the race goes on and climbs keep coming.

Worse display than expected from Carapaz, but at least we had Assman in the breakaway.
It seems like we weren't the only dissatisfied manager after the first stage.

Our GC is completely gone. Obviously I knew that after stage one but we can’t even stay in the first group today…
I hope I see Bennett and Rodriguez attacking later in the race otherwise what was the point of coming to this tour…
Congrats to Niu and thanks for the report!

Would love to write that we are happy with the race so far, as we were present in the breakaway again. However, the race feels disappointing. Carpenter and Holzer weren't the right guys to get away on S2 – should have been Azman or McKenna. Hopefully Azman can play a bigger role and chase the KoM or Carapaz might be allowed to join a breakaway now that he's so far behind in the GC.

What is that... 5 mins lost on Stage 1 from Shikai. Currently the first on my release sheet at the end of the season.
As if stage 1 wasn't bad enough, more time lost on a non-selective Stage 2
If we don't see Shikai in a breakaway to propel his way up the GC then I'm lost for words.

Congrats Booker, that's just the kind of stage for a rider like Niu! Apart from Vauquelin losing a minute it has been an uneventful stage for us.
