I’m announcing that, after 5 years of hard work and testing, there will be a 2009 update for the Eternal DB for PCM 2007. It will be coming out before the new year. I’m currently testing the updated talent development script I added into the game.
The main reason I went about this is that PCM 2007 is, in my opinion, the most fun games to have endless career modes in. With the updated 2009 Eternal DB you will be able to play career modes for roughly 50 years before the game stops working.
Previews of updates:
- Teams & Rosters for 2009
- Doped riders updates
- new rider development system (more random)
- scoutable riders from 92 countries
- all countries available at Worlds
- realistic potential for riders with the knowledge of their development from 2009-2016.
- updated look in the calendar
- more modifications possible. I left countless team jerseys and such unused if you want to add custom teams.
- updated as many races as possible to the current World Tour / Pro Tour / Continental status.
I want to thank Digitizer, PCMDaily and all others who built databases for PCM 2007. I didn’t really create much new stuff, I spent countless hours combining all great databases into one.
Tomorrow I will place the first edition of this database here.
What I have currently working:
Riders for 179 teams properly filled in
New 2009 accurate stats for all riders
Accurate development trajectory for all riders (16 year old Christophe Laporte in 2009 can become a classics stud in 2018).
Updated rider potential scripts
Startlists for races with appropriate team distribution
All teams will ride appropriate amount of race days.
New Rider Generation for all countries
Appropriate new rider generation for 50 season careers
Jonathan Bridge is available (!)
‘What If’ scenario built in (Career Ending Injuries / Doping / different development built so potential 6-7-8 riders will not automatically become studs)
‘What if’ team script for when AI teams change major sponsors.
What I am still working on:
Finetuning Jerseys/Socks/etc for all
What I have but am still testing:
Added national teams to Word Championships
Continental championships
World TTT
Olympic Games
