Decent stage 5, with 2 guys in the front group. Also, now in top 10 for GC. I'll take it. |

With Jorgenson putting his stamp on this here, will anyone be able to beat him?

Nice to see Rogora active again, shame he just misses out on keeping the jersey. Maybe he'll have a chance to win it back in the next few stages, but in any case a strong performance from a neopro who isn't much of a climber. Nice to see Buitrago safely in the top 10 too, excited for what's ahead. Jorgenson laying down an early marker this early maybe a slight surprise but not really an issue for us; we're not competing for the win anyway.

Not a good race for us at all so far, with AHJ now also out of the GC. Everything will come down to stage success from breakaways for us then. Hope to see AHJ, O'Connor and Penasa trying during the next few stages.

Congrats
Will ToA be easy as a breeze?

You weren't the only one stressed at this point - looking at Sammy/Sauber as well
I guess Carapaz (and Choi) were expected to struggle on S5, but let's see how long we can hang on.

Yeah, these hilly stages are Misbah's weakness and we just need to focus on surviving them

What!?
Exactly what we hoped for with the dual-leadership.
A bit unfortunate that we don't take the lead, but on the other hand we don't have a team to defend the jersey.
Enjoy the success Ivan
Also, how did Jorgenson lose that much time

Novak!!! That's very cool to see, especially after yesterday's worrying signs regarding positioning in key moments. Congratulations! |

Wtf... High of highs to low of lows. Jorgenson has his work cut out for him now.

At least we beat Jorgenson I guess, not exactly how we expected that to go, got our work cut out to get back within TT range of a good result.

Wow, was not expecting that. Sympathy to MRE. Didn't seem like Jorgenson did too much chasing, maybe overextending himself trying to follow Novak's initial attack. Race is suddenly wide open but if Jorgenson can lose that time on that stage it seems like it can happen to anyone.
Solid again from Yates. Congrats to Ivan, Novak asserting himself when he should, There are plenty of summit finishes for him to create gaps if he is going to ride like that.

Looks like based solely on the photos he suffered from no teammates there's one miles back on the first photo and then isn't a single teammate in the group after that combined with a bad RDC can be a disaster |

Novak has the lead for now, but we should not get ourselves over the head now. There are 8 more stages left and anything can happen.

Fantastic result for ivan, congrats mate. Novak is in good.position now to find his way to success.
Gruesome final km for Jorgenson. Hopefully he'll get back into contention.

Already first bit of time gained back from Jorgenson on stage 7. A lot will ride on the TT tho if he wants a major homewin!

S6 was neutral from our point.
Very nice S7 again from Lafay, getting some more points. Was a bit worried we were nowhere to be seen, and with the long stage I wasn't sure he would be there in the end, but he was.
Now I guess that was the last of the really suited stages, except maybe the last. Let's hope we can get into breaks?
Thanks for the reports!

Well, when you're the leader, you have a massive target painted on your back. It won't be easy for Novak and will need to hang on til the bitter end. Thankfully, our veterans like Preidler, Sakalou, Bernard and KHJ have been useful so far
Once again, top notch reporting.

Thanks red for the reports!
Good to see Spanopoulos active in this stage. Vasilyiv still comfortable in the top 10. So far so good!

I guess Choi is our sole GC captain now
Not sure what made Carapaz lose this much time - more than a minute to Carpenter who should be further down the pecking order. Would have liked to see Carapaz stay as close as possible to Choi, but perhaps it's better with more dedicated support for our captain?
Thanks for the reports so far!
