Should be close to a zero point race with Ackermann and Schlegel as our 'leaders'.

Not sure what to think of S2...
Sucks that all hope of a top 10 in the GC is out the window, but it wasn't totally unexpected. On a positive note, we had two in the breakaway and Rodriguez could provide some much-needed points for the team, if he catches some luck and wins either a stage or the KoM. However, it's not a good sign that he couldn't follow the wheel of Bagioli in the final.

Hello Heine

<<Insert furious rant about PCM handling of Leemreize and Hayter>>

Absolutely no excuse now to not chase the KOM via breaks.

Congrats knockout. Was overdue! Thanks for the report.

Nice first three stages for McCormick. Forming a sprint train for the first time since the glory days of Holloway was exciting, of course then it flamed out so fast the camera couldn't catch it but nevertheless Rebushing gets a strong second.

Stage 2 was never going to be much, but Stage 3 was an excellent ride by Sosa, if he hadn't wasted energy with that silly attack he might have finished slightly better but hard to complain when he is sitting 4th on GC in this field. Stage 5 should be OK for him but stage 6 worries me with all that climbing, might be when the diesels strike back.

Can't stay in break. Can't stay in pack. Peachy...

Congrats to tasta and thanks for the report!

Yeah, Skjelmose is just not cut out for this engine unfortunately. Gregaard better than him isn't too unpredictable (although maybe for all the people saying MM matters it is), but definitely stings a bit. The good thing is the U25 race is so uncompetitive he'll win that regardless. Plus he's not just entirely dropping off the back this time. Hirt, Shikai, etc. get that privilege this time.

I'm hoping we can stay somewhere in the top 25 with both Gregaard and Skjelmose, but I think that's a pipe dream unfortunately.

Thanks for the reports!

I think that I have sent quite a good mountain squad to this race and that Hirt is a respectable leader for such a stage race.
And yet he loses 30 min in stage 2 and another 23 min in stage 2. The sim basically sets up our team without a leader to race for, instead we all just ride around with no goal or whatsoever. Noone goes for any jersey, noone goes for GC.
PCM 24 seems to be flawed in many many ways and we need to adress that topic. The sim should at least try to get a top 10 GC spot in this race, instead they follow no goals, ruleset or whatsoever.

Ackermann scored some points which is weird, but at least Schlegel is still as useless as expected.

Congrats to McCormick on the stage win.

Kulikovskiy is the only one that has showed up for us here. 3rd is another good result from him.

Congrats to Ulrich and thanks for the report!

Kulikovskiy doing well, love to see it. Great planning to send him here I think.

Higuita did well in stage 2, but sadly stage 3 wasn't it for him. Hopefully he can give us something nice in stage 5 and/or 6 Smile

Thank you for the quickly following and greatly written reports, Imladrik!

Thanks Imladrik for the reports! Smile

So far, so good for us. Two in the top-25 should give some nice depth points. Fingers crossed!

Not as bad for Carapaz, but basically the same issue. He's not being treated as team leader going for GC even though the top 10 doesn't seem unrealistic.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

This game is just truly unreal. Skjelmose is literally in the white jersey, just outside the top 20, isn't a flat rider at all, and still does a leadout instead of any of my other riders and loses 2 minutes for no reason. I truly can't believe I paired my GC guys with sprinters this year. Horrible horrible choice. Can't imagine what the TDF is gonna look like for us given this.

And completely agree re Hirt and Carapaz. You can tell me it's cause they have lower stamina, and that's fine if it means they drop earlier. But it doesn't explain the entire JEWA team dropping off the back early in the stage for no reason. The game is broken for MG purposes.

I've been through bad seasons before, sometimes also in part due to the change of game engines, but watching this year has dropped my motivation to unprecedent levels. Feels like the team strategy is such a crapshoot if you don't have a top top leader that it's basically pointless.

Hard to follow with how much time Shikai has lost. A bit demotivating to say the least.

Great stuff from the leadout and Riabushenko- our first win of the season and his first win in our colors.

Assuming we will drop down the points standings a lot, but maybe a few points there.

Sympathies to BBL, Skjelmose having a torrid season.

Appreciate it, but to be honest, this is far from worst case scenario for Skjelmose in this race compared to plenty of others (Hirt, Carapaz, Shikai). It just stings seeing stages like this keep happening for him and knowing it's going to cost me in much more important races throughout the year, but without any remedy mid-season.

Great stage from Skejlmose. Also I will say that this was actually a pretty nice highlighting of how riders will attempt to crawl back into the race despite having subpar performances on the first few stages.

seancoll
Glad that some of the GC guys who had dropped found the break today and got some well-earned success. Surely this feels like some redemption especially for BBL and Skjelmose!

Still not sure what is happening to Eastman and Dombrowski in this group, but sometimes bad days just stack up again and again.
