February has ended, time to have a look at the second ranking update of the season.
| Pos | | Team | Coppa | Omloop | Viana | TOF | GP Yek | Tachira | LS | KBK | GW | Total | | 1 | | Bianchi Enel | 33 | 0 | 56 | 0 | 29 | 132 | 7 | 5 | 76 | 338 | | 2 | | Euskotren - Pays Basque | 51 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 35 | 98 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 185 | | 3 | | Kraftwerk Man Machine | 40 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 116 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 159 | | 4 | | IncaLine Pro Cycling | 14 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 40 | 101 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 156 | | 5 | | Ethiopian Airlines | 25 | 0 | 0 | 24 | 10 | 93 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 152 | | 6 | | Peugeot - Bancolombia | 12 | 0 | 16 | 0 | 35 | 42 | 0 | 0 | 29 | 134 | | 7 | | Tafjord Kraft | 51 | 0 | 20 | 0 | 26 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 26 | 123 | | 8 | | Euskadi-Murias | 10 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 14 | 56 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 81 | | 9 | | SEE Turtles | 0 | 0 | 0 | 54 | 1 | 16 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 71 | | 10 | | Team Zappes Kölsch | 0 | 0 | 0 | 6 | 2 | 54 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 62 | | 11 | | Parmalat - Ecopetrol | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 57 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 57 | | 12 | | Air New Zealand-Prada | 0 | 0 | 5 | 4 | 0 | 36 | 0 | 0 | 10 | 55 | | 13 | | Kone-Nordea | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 15 | 37 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 52 | | 14 | | The ONE - Fox God | 16 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 7 | 24 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 47 | | 15 | | Podium Ambition | 11 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 16 | 34 | | 16 | | Glanbia | 0 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 2 |
9 races this month as the Continental Tour got it's first taste of the cobbles and the unofficial CT Grand tour took place at Tachira.
We start the month at the Coppa Placci and two teams took the joint highest points with and both scoring 51pts following Daniel Hoelgaard win for Tajord while Euskotren - Pays Basque Berthet and Lafay had a dynamic 4th and 5th in a race dominanted by those dual threat climbers who could handle both Hills and Mountains. Kraftwerk Man Machine took the 3rd most points at the race with 40pts after a change in leadership with Felix Gall the man in 2nd place.
Omloop Het Nieuwsblad was next with only Bianchi Enel making the journey but scoring 0pts in the race.
Viana do Castelo was only the next day though and the Italian outfit turned that around Leonardo Basso scored 56pt for his 2nd place finish close to scoring a victory at C1 level. Lucas Eriksson also managed a good results for Tafjord Kraft in 9th for 20pts while Leo Vincent Peugeot - Bancolombia in 10th and Louis Visser Air New Zealand-Prada in 18th were the only other CT scorers in the Cobbled classic.
Mohammad Ganjkhanlou and the SEE Turtles were the top scorers at the Tour of Eritrea thanks to the Iranian champions first stage win bagging 41pts overall with the team managing a solid 54pts across the 3 day stage race. Santiago Buitrago Ethiopian Airlines scored 24pts the 2nd most while Team Zappes Kölsch 6pts was the 3rd highest scorers in a modest return for CT teams.
GP Yekaterinburg was the next stop the Russian Classic in February sounds like a recipe for disaster weather wise but just cold and cloudy conditions and a new name on the top step as Parmalat - Ecopetrol and Davide Gabburo taking the biggest victory of his career and kickstarting the new teams season with 57pts for the team. 2nd most points went to IncaLine Pro Cycling who had Andres Paez and Sachin Dulanjana both in the top 10 for 40pts with the 2nd place from Matus Stocek enough for 35pt for Euskotren - Pays Basque and a strong all-round performance from Peugeot - Bancolombia giving them the same points.
The big one was next its the Vuelta al Tachira 9 days is a big RD commitment in the CT with 7.5% of racedays committed at C2 points few teams come out on top. 5 teams this year did manage over 10pprd Ethiopian Airlines were the 5th 93pts Madushanka Perera is already looking like one of the best CT sprinters top scoring for the team. Euskotren - Pays Basque scored the 4th most points at 98pts. Victor Lafay and Remy Rochas both with strong GC rides giving the team a great depth result. IncaLine Pro Cycling got 101pt Ignacio Jesus Prado rode to the podium and scored the 2nd most rider pts along the way. Kraftwerk Man Machine were the title favourites to start the year and scored well here with Daniel Habtemichael the 2nd of the podium riders to score very highly 116pt to the team with stage winners Sam Harrison and Tim Torn Teutenberg adding to an impressive 116pts. Top scorers were Bianchi Enel with GC winner Dion Smith scoring 119pts alone from his audacious Stage 8 attack and Strong uphill sprint victory on stage 9 132pts from the Italians.
Small Bianchi Enel they went to both Le Samyn and Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne Leonardo Basso scoring 5pts and 7pts respectively at these races.
Gent - Wevelgem was the final CT race of the month and Leonardo Basso put his HC race practice to good use winning a 3 up sprint to take the prize. Arjen Livyns in 6th and Robert Sangulin in 13th also scored as Bianchi Enel scored 76pts on the day. Peugeot - Bancolombia got 2nd most with Bert Van Lerberghe 3rd place enough for 29pts while Alexander Arnt Hansen give Tafjord Kraft enough points to be 3rd top scorers at 26pts.
The overall table now Bianchi Enel have started strong and currently are running away with it at more then double the points of the 2nd place team. But the battle behind is starting to get very interesting Ethiopian Airlines and Kraftwerk Man Machine finishing off the podium in 3rd are at the moment the teams looking to catch the Italians. Euskotren - Pays Basque are currently 2nd in the PPRD and could make up some ground over the coming races. Peugeot - Bancolombia are another team that haven't sent out Fredrik Strand Galta as of yet and could make some giant strides up the table. Tafjord Kraft have been something of a surprise package and are posting a strong PPRD thanks to some good hilly results could they challenge for promotion? Glanbia will be hoping for some magic from star signing Louis Meintjes as they are currently bottom of the table on a PPRD of 0.89.

The Bianchi Enel wave leads the standings currently Dion Smith big win in Tachira leaping him to the top of the standings while Leonardo Basso rides at Viana and Gent-Wevelgem have him in 2nd. Madushanka Perera is the closest non Bianchi rider to cracking 100pts and has looked very strong all season so far he won't be far away from leapfrogging Ryan Gibbons as the top sprinter.
Ignacio Jesus Prado,
Victor Lafay and Daniel Habtemichael all made big gains this month into the top 10 as the Individual rankings start to take shape. |

Just waiting for Galta/Thomas to start their season now, hopefully we can get some good points from them. Utter domination from Bianchi...

As usual at this point of the season we're quite high, but that's before we launch ourselves in C1/HC campaigns
Thanks for the update, quite a few racing for once this two month, but except for GW, it's been quite successful.
Bianchi is scary!

How much fun is it to write those updates when you're destroying the division, jt?
Cool to see Euskotren up there, hopefully they can keep it up this season. And a shout-out to IncaLine who could end as our surprise rookie promotion contender this season (sorry Heine, I'll never count you as a rookie ).

Thanks for the update jt.
Looks like there are 6 teams in the hunt for second place.
Pleased with the results from new recruits Habtemichael and Harrison.
Masnada is all or nothing depending on if the game thinks he is a favourite or not.
March is a key month for Kraftwerk, we need to score big.

Hey! I did start this season, didn't I?!?
To be honest, hat off to Incaline. I already felt during transfer season nisky built a great team, just scary to see him not logged on for a month now. Hope he shows up again!

Are we sure Bianchi are CT? they've scored enough points to be 6th in PCT right now.

Bianchi...sickest CT-team I can remember, amazing!
Very good month for us in Tafjord as well. We like hilly races, and those only, so we're not looking forward to all the stage races ahead |

Some very rough PPRD for the 2nd half of the rankings, but I guess that happens when Bianchi is able to hold the top 4 spots in the individual slots. Really unbelievable work to have such a strong start
Sad not to have come away with more from Tachira - I thought we sent a decent lineup, but the racing was fierce and Rachid could just never come away with the results that were necessary to jump into a top ten.
Fascinating results so far and glad we've moved out of the 0 point group
