Have to recognize McGill for getting a nice second. Should be an interesting race to follow - seems like 20 guys could win. Maybe a home rider for the win.

After an OK top 10 in stage 1, I was not ready for a textbook leadout and win from the Kraftwerk boys. I haven't seen that from a team of mine in a while, nice to watch.
Thanks for the congrats and to kb for a great report and the tie reference
Fingers crossed we don't defend Harrison's GC lead for the whole race!

Why spend all your energy on intermediate sprints and bomb out in the main sprint?
Damn showoff

That can't be a real rider
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

I think that might be a first for Kraftwerk, wearing all 4 jerseys in a single race.
TTT "leading from the front", I guess if your sprinter can't get your wheel its his loss! Looking forward to him getting maxed out.
Thanks for another great report kb.

Thanks for some great reports so far! Not the best race for us at this point, as Ganjkhanlou hasn't had the best luck, but that's okay. Main losing 11 minutes hurt as I think he could've done very well in the MTT and held a good GC position until the end. Still 3 GC options for us depending on how the race goes with Merchan, Rachid (our preferred), and Barta also likely to handle the mountains well.
Congrats to the winners so far!

Now all really new managers should have their maiden wins. Well done!

2nd 4-5 of the season for Lafay and Berthet, which is good to take, but not enough in this race, if we can't get anything in the coming stage.
Politt working and taking some points also justify to have him here!
Thanks for the report

Leadouts not been good for us here but we are still alert for some big days to come.
Tomorrow will be interesting im pretty sure its going to suit MM more then pure MO stat which could give Deon Smith some big gains on his main rivals but he needs a good RDC |

It was a cool first part of tge race for us with Joung and Oshri featured in breaks and holding the U25 coompetition. A shame to have lost before the mountains and seeing the rest of our climbers lose ground in the GC but that gives them some leeway to find space in the breakaways.
thanks for the lively and well paced reports kb!

Great reports so far KB! Thanks for everything you've done this season already -
Nice to see Ganjkhanlou make it at least one good sprint in the bunch to earn a few points, but now it is time for the real GC battle!

I initially thought the same, but at least jt had Helme on his list of favourites for this stage on Discord which either proves jt is a genius or there actually is some logic behind this.

Great ride from Smith gained some big time on a lot of the GC guys and gaining time on Habtemichel if small is still a win its probably between Smith and Habtemichel for GC now depending on the next stages but hoping Smith can get some good RDCs
Regards the stage itself as KB alluded too we kind of highlighted Helme on Discord (TT, Hill, MM) where the stats I thought were most relevant which has kind of worked. I don't think I'd have had him winning if you'd have asked me to pick but he was in the top 5 discussion. RDC is having a big effect on these TTs noticed already this season too |
