Quite a lof or riders thrown out the door
Will be interesting to see how you pivot from relegation. Ackermann is a great rider and would be scary to ride against

This will be an interesting follow in the off season. Having to let top Norwegian riders go, is not fun, I know the feeling.
We might have some talks aswell.
Best of luck!

An exciting opportunity to renew the squad - looking forward to seeing what direction you go in the transfer window, will it be mainly Scandi still, or will a few choice additions be thrown into the Norwegian camp? I'm sure quite a lot would love the quality of life, having a nice summer/winter cabin and throwing back skagen toast!

Indeed it was an ageing team you had there. Maybe a blessing in disguise to get down and somewhat is forced to let a bunch go, even if I clearly get that it's not a great situation. Holst Enger as you say will hurt, I think Waersted too was a great fit. I guess I would have rather kept one of those than Awet og Garby, but to have a little bit of everything still I understand the reasoning.
Very interesting to see Ackermann available. Maybe it's time for him to come back home

There's a hefty (and somewhat expected) rebuild incoming. And I fear if you don't achieve wonders in transfers it'll probably take more than a year to bounce back.

RIP to a lot of Scandinavian legends (shoutout to Guldhammer specifically), but I agree it was mostly time to move on. Unfortunate you couldn't renew Enger though. Sprinter negotiations are always particularly difficult.

Sucks that you couldn't keep Enger. Such a great rider and a perfect fit in your team.
I hope we can have some productive transfer talks

Huge downside that you had to let Enger go, he would have paid the back the fine it would taken to hold him I am pretty sure + a little bit!
Excited to see how you put together a promotion contender once again!

Best of luck with the rebuild! I suspect Ackermann will prove to be useful to you either way, be it as a very good CT leader or as a source of cash to rebuild the rest of your squad. |

You have really cleared house with these renewals. Looks like there is plenty of space to rejuvinate the squad. If you are still thinking of keeping the Nordic focus then we are certain to have a discussion or two, considering the riders I am thinking of moving on.
Definitely excited to see what Ackermann can do against lesser opportunity. He should also benefit from the introduction of MM. Any reason you'll be keeping Eriksson though? Surely there are cheaper options for domestiques.

Thanks all! Not sure if I want to try bounce back to PCT already this season.
I think we need a drastic rebuild and maybe we need a longer time horizon, in order to be competitive in PCT.
To be honest, I tried to keep hold of both Enger AND Waersted, and gave what I feel (although under their askings), still a very reasonable final offers.
So I was quite shocked to see them both decline.
Well, well, I'll give them exactly what they want, next time around
The reason I want to keep hold of Eriksson (and Belevics) are very simple!
With their 29 years, they are my only youth riders
They are of course also for sale if the right bid/swap comes around, but we really need to get a WAY lower average age in our squad. |

After a challenging relegation from PCT we just had to do a much needed clean up of our very aging squad while also trying to keep a regional profile.
We believe that through the transfer window, we've done just that, by signing our top two targets! 22 years old Fredheim and Feldmann. Two of the largest sprinting talents in the nordics. And most inportantly; both are Norwegian.
These two will be really important for our future.
We are also excited having signed a number of other 22 year olds too this transfer window in Hansen, Gautherat and Meehan (loaned out to Glanbia) Hansen will be developed into a decent cobbler with a good sprinting ability, while Meehan and Gautherat will strengthen us in the hills.
We are really really happy with landing these 5 nice talents from northern europe.
Another major update is that Daniel Hoelgaard joins us in a swap deal for Pascal Ackermann, with some nice money also going our way, which made training possible for the next rider on the list.
Cause during the summer, Lucas Eriksson have trained really well, and now has 79 ability in the hills department. We look forward to see him with nice new stats in the CT-division.
Kristian Dyrnes and Emils Liepins was both released pre-transfers as we could not reach an agreement, but both have been brought back as temporary solutions on minimum wage.
James Shaw and Carl Fredrik Hagen were picked up for free after the transfer window closed, to help out with their experience, primarily in the mountains.
This squad is by no means strong enough to survive in PCT, so our plan is to have a bit more time in CT before trying to bounce back
Here is Tafjord Krafts squad after transfers!

Love Eriksson as a CT leader. Should be very strong on the hills as Hoelgaard is a potential leader in his own right too. Also scored some really nice talents this offseason with the CT budget constraints. The Norwegians being some, but I really want Arnt as well. Will be a nice cobbles domestique once maxed!

Thanks Laurens! Yes, will take quite some time with this rebuild, but ultimately we will be way better off and maybe some day we can achieve promotion to PT!

Yes, I was very surprised I got Arnt Hansen for 60,000. We needed some fresh blood in the cobbles department. Belevics still going strong too, Garby not so much |

You have acquired some nice talents (expect some inquiries on one of them in the future ) and though the rest of the team probably won't be enough to fight for promotion yet it should still be good enough to keep the motivation going.

If the plan was to get younger with some regional talents then it's a job well done. It would be hypocritical of me to criticise the Eriksson training too much, although I do think that money could have been used better. With one more leader this team might be good enough to challenge for another promotion.
