A fun overview of your riders’ availabilities! With us having interests in all categories except the most expensive (!), I’m sure we can find some kind of discussion and maybe deal for several riders making for a discount Grin Pfft

As ever I suspect we'll have a lot to talk about from seeing your availability list. Think I may be able to guess some of the riders of interest, but look forward to finding out for sure!

Thanks, good to see you around on the site Smile

Niklas Larsen is a rider I have always regretted allowing to leave. Evangelos too, I wouldn't mind having back on the team. Whether or not this is the year either of them come back to us depends on just how expensive "more expensive" is. I guess I will infd out soon enough.

At 8pm tomorrow all will be revealed Wink

Look forward to discussing further in transfers!

Looks like you have a busy offseason ahead, but with some very interesting names available, I think you won't struggle to wheel and deal. You can certainly expect a PM from Addis Ababa at some point Pfft

Some interesting yet to be fully developed names on the availability list!

Have fun with the FA roulette one more time, but it's not really surprising anymore Wink

Interested to see how to go with the rebuild actually!

The wheeling and dealing is what I enjoy so hope that's the case! I look forward to our discussions.

Indeed, and some of whom may be even more available now I've realised the difficulty I'll have in getting them XP...

At least I'm predictable Pfft hopefully it will be different this time and give me the base of a settled squad for a while.

Transfers Update #1

It hasn't been the greatest start to transfers here, with most of our targeted deals not coming off and prices in free agency bidding going well beyond what we had originally anticipated. We've already said goodbye to Leonardo Basso, Jose Fernandes, Marcus Faglum Karlsson and Cedric Bakke Christophersen but in their place two riders have joined the team - in fact, in the case of all but Fernandes they've joined as part of our sale deals!

Lucas Hamilton4.10029yo€95,000
FLMOMMHITTSTRSRCCBSPACFGDHPR
6976767565697376556477767067

First to join as part of the deal that saw Basso depart to Bianchi - Enel, with 100k coming our way as well, is Lucas Hamilton. We're not sure if he'll stick with us through to the end of transfers, but if he does we think he's a good addition to both our climbing and puncheur squads.

Barnabas Peak4.10027yo€220,000
FLMOMMHITTSTRSRCCBSPACFGDHPR
8064676967737777617878646874

The bigger deal we were involved in which saw Faglum Karlsson and Bakke Christophersen head to Aker - MOT sees a familiar face return. Barnabas Peak is back with the team after a year away, and we expect that unless something significantly changes he will be undergoing as much development this off-season as he's permitted to do. We were keen to add riders from our broader focus region, and leaders with plenty of years of training eligibility ahead of them - and here we have a rider who ticks both boxes.

Peak is your type of rider so this makes tons of sense Grin

Transfer Update #2

Since our last update we said goodbye to a number of riders. Derek Gee and Benjamin Thomas left for pastures new, as did team legend Salem Kemboi. In the case of the latter we may have a more detailed goodbye post in time, but for all three we felt the time was right at the price we were offered.

However, their departures created space for some new arrivals. Both are talents from our focus region, and one is definitely the future of our team. But we'll leave more detail to their introductions below:

Martin Svrcek1.0022yo€55,000
FLMOMMHITTSTRSRCCBSPACFGDHPR
6866676865686666666469706866
7173757667747071666675756968

We very nearly missed out on Martin Svrcek due to other plans almost getting in the way, but we were glad to be able to make a last minute move for a rider who will be a fantastic asset when he reaches his full potential. We see him primarily as an explosive puncheur who can climb, but with some useful all round skills as well.

Madis Mihkels1.0022yo€630,000
FLMOMMHITTSTRSRCCBSPACFGDHPR
7058616462717165667173676269
7759636762787480718081676369

Our biggest target pre-transfers, and a rider we think would still be worth his exorbitant wages even if we relegate. It's the future Estonian top sprinter Madis Mihkels! No more to say except from that we expect him to see even more development once he reaches his full potential, as our future leader.

It wasn't my smartest piece of business selling him and then buying him back at a greater cost, but it's true that Peak is almost the template of the kind of rider I tend to sign Pfft

Bold wage and estonian. The Mihkels acquisition is living up to the team name!

More than I would have liked, and not far off the maximum I was willing to offer! A move I had to make if at all possible, but one that puts us very much in a relegation battle rather than comfortably mid-table or pushing for promotion.

One kind of feeds the other, as the cap space I had got swallowed up very fast by the Peak and Mihkels moves Pfft

Transfer Update #3

Since our last update we've said goodbye to some of our other riders, with Jay Vine, Thai Phan Hoang, Narankhuu Baterdene and long-time stalwart Alberto Bettiol leaving the team. Bettiol, like Kemboi may get a proper goodbye post from us post-transfers.

We also saw Luis Fernando De La Cruz Chapulin join in a swap that saw Lucas Hamilton depart after his short stint with us, only to then be swapped out himself. However, we think that the Basso deal may have finally reached its end with the signing it ultimately enabled!

Three new riders have joined in the time since our last update:

Marton Dina4.10029yo€70,000
FLMOMMHITTSTRSRCCBSPACFGDHPR
6975757469717074576276746569

Baterdene's departure came about after we were offered the chance to sign Marton Dina for a fee of 80k plus a minimum wage rider. While it isn't certain he will stay with us during the transfer period, we won't be sad if he does as a rider from our broader focus region and a useful C2 eligible climber-puncheur hybrid.

Nur Aiman Zariff4.10028yo€140,000
FLMOMMHITTSTRSRCCBSPACFGDHPR
7059606160716777608080606772

A slightly unusual signing but one we felt made sense at a 500k fee, came in the form of Nur Aiman Zariff. While he's not the kind of sprinter we would normally sign, we saw an opportunity with our roster to get a very talented pure sprinter at a reasonable price who we plan to use solely in stage races to fight for stage wins while Peak takes the harder sprint fields.

Xuban Errazkin4.10029yo€145,000
FLMOMMHITTSTRSRCCBSPACFGDHPR
7174767870767576646373696770

Our final new signing is part of the ultimate outcome of the Basso trade, with the departure of De La Cruz Chapulin and a fee of 575k seeing Xuban Errazkin arriving at the team. Errazkin will be our new hills leader, but we also like his ability on longer climbs and against the clock. We think there is a good chance he may join Peak in developing further this off-season, depending on how the rest of the window goes.

Ngl, kinda rooting for Zariff to outperform Peak just because it will be funny

Funny to see you all in all the stamina path for Mikhels rather than resistance. How things change! Congratulations!

Think Errazkin is very underrated if used effectively. Wish I jumped in on him when I had the chance.

Depends how much he demands in renewals, slightly concerned I'll have a 450k+ leadout man Pfft

They'll be kept apart the entire season, but I can see it happening. Hoping that Zariff will benefit from weaker fields in stage races, particularly in C1 races.

It may still change to turn him into a mini-Kemboi with his prologue, but based on PCM 22 at least it seemed stamina was a lot more important than resistance. That could of course change with the new game version though!

Errazkin was a perfect fit given the strengths of the rest of my squad, and for what I thought was quite a good wage as well. If he were a few years younger he may have ended up being the main beneficiary of training.

All will become clear very shortly, I think...
