Looks like you're gonna be busy - Hirschi's training money has gotta come from somewhere Smile

I look forward to seeing how you decide to develop him moving forward, and hope you can raise plenty of $$$ for that reason. A couple of riders that could be handy for us next season, will be in contact soon I would imagine Smile

I like the attempt to diversify the team, fingers crossed you can work it out during transfers!

A lot of potential action going on here with some interesting names. Seems to be clearing up the mountains department significantly. Will be very interesting to see the choices made during transfers.

Pretty impressive list of riders there - and a lot of interesting availabilities for sure! Great wage cut for Hirschi, and all those potential sales should definitely allow you to give him a massive boost!
Not sure I want that, but I guess we'll still be in touch, be it for buying or loaning in Smile

Good luck to improve on those 16th places - I guess with some twists and tweaks you should really get there Smile

We're lucky he's not greedy, hopefully it stays that way next time we hit the negotiating table.

It's for the betterment of Swiss cycling, I'd have thought you'd be all for helping fund that Pfft

I believe this could be a good season for you to improve on 16th, quite a nice gang of riders, and with both available wage cap and some pretty sellable riders you should be able to build something good

I see the idea behind trimming the climbing department a bit, a lot of similar riders that you most likely wont notice are going 1 or 2 good riders on another terrain could take you a long way. With Rossi and Gulietti as leuitenants your team are screaming for a cobble leader (I believe you should be able to max Rossi yourself?)

We're hopeful diversifying the scoring potential will help, not sure which ones are going to be available but it's definitely something we'll be looking into. Then Rossi should be ready to lead himself just as all the current ones start to decline.

We'll have to calculate Rossi's XP and check, could be touch and go depending on which race clashes we end up having.

Feels unreal that we are really in the same division next year. But looking at your current squad and depending on how you handle transfers i think you already have a great shot for promotion. So we wont be near at the standings at all this year. Good luck for the transfers and the upcomming season!

We're not as confident about our chances as you are, but who knows, if you get the right leaders in your project could definitely be boosted by the tweak you made to it and find us closer than you think.

I certainly hope so, roster needs rebalancing and training funds need to come from somewhere. Hopefully we keep enough of the team identity in the process.

kandesbunzler26 wrote:

There's going to be some reshuffling for you. And though there's no one high on my list from your team at the moment I assume I'll have a deeper look later in transfers when all initial plans were shuttered.

You've already got one of my former leaders so who knows what transfers holds, maybe he reunites with one of his former teammates afterall, and you do have someone on my radar so we might be in touch regardless, even if we don't find a deal.

We're committing hard to him and hoping he repays that faith in completed goals and better standings. just got to hope we can still put a strong enough side around him when it's all over.

The team does need better balance, but it doesn't mean we are abandoning our traditional terrains completely.

We've got tentative plans but we all know what transfers does to plans, hoping to come out of it stronger and better balanced than going in.

I look forward to hearing from you, I'm sure we'll figure something out, and Natarov has mentioned wanting to link up with a compatriot.

Really interested to see what you build this transfers. The core is already really strong, so with just a few more depth pieces a promotion challenge may be on the cards.

Roster Reveal

Now that our transfers have drawn to a close and the last contract has been signed it is time to reveal our completed 2025 roster.

i.ibb.co/5XyqFs5W/Sauber-2025.png

This is everyone that will ride in our colours this season, with Badilatti, Drakos and Al Mutaiwei all being loaned in from our friends at UBS, Air New Zealand and Cedevita respectfully.

In Addition to this we have 3 strong Sammarinese riders loaned out with Maccagli Time Trialling his way over the border to visit Bianchi, Rossi taking a bumpy trip out to Sony and Tiberi climbing his way into the hearts of all Jura fans.

And for those of you counting that's 9/22 Sammarinese riders in our colours this season and 12/22 Sammarinese riders owned so slowly getting closer to being able to going fully Sammarinese, just need to get more youngsters picking up the pedals before we can field a full team.

I'll let you decide if it's worthy of a promotion push, but I'm at least confident it's good enough to not get dragged into the relegation fight this season.

It's really cool to have a Swiss rider who's getting close to world-class level, but I'm unhappy it's not one of mine Wink
Jokes aside, I think Hirschi and Misbah should drag the team clear of relegation danger this year. Einhorn will also have some good days. And while your climbing department isn't as stacked anymore as it used to be, it's still very solid depth.

Looking forward to see what you can do this year, and hoping for at least 15th place Wink

Would need to see some of the other PCT teams to really judge where you land. The top 3 guys especially Hirschi should have a lot on their plates.

Obviously a very cool team with all these Sammarinese guys combined with some strong leaders. Promotion push may be a very long shot, but definitely a excellent transfer season seeing the ages (only 3 above 30 Shock).

Hirschi should become the dominant puncheur of the division this season and your climbing depth is still there despite selling quite some climbers, so I'm optimistic you finally will finish at least 15th this season Wink

The task here isn't to get Hirschi to dominate, but to get the others to score significantly enough to promote. I think you have a top 10 team on your hands. Whether it's enough to get a promotion spot is often down to luck and manager skills. But I think you are among the teams having a fair shot at promotion!

After his training I'm sure everyone was expecting our goals to revolve around our main man, and we're not backing him in half measures, we're going all in on maximising his season and his point scoring ability. We know the goals are ambitious but we don't see any reason why we can't complete 4 out of 5 of them, we know it might take some luck but we back Hirschi to be the favourite in every race he rides.

On an unrelated note, our opening posts are all fully updated for the new season, Hirschi is now the only rider to have 7 seasons in our jersey(although others may have been owned for more if you include Loan Outs) and easily holds our points record before even turning a wheel this season, but Misbah is just eclipsing him for total race days after factoring in both their planned schedules.

We had to do something to make sure he leads Switzerland next hilly WC lol

I feel we've done a better job this season of picking our races which should help a little too.

We know our 3 leaders are going to score the majority of our points, but we are hoping that Zijlaard can be a wildcard option and score a decent amount too.

Thank You, we've always tried to keep a young squad, helps both to keep them hungry and hopefully hold their value if other want to try and prize them away from us.

Stupid Sexy Swissman lol, it's ok, he can't hurt your PT races, we've not gone for any wildcards.

We're glad Skivild's ended up with you, feels like he's where he belongs

We certainly hope so, his crazy final month last season helped him edge it to be the best Puncher last season and we're hoping he can come back and dominate this time round.

I'll be surprised if we do go up, but it would be nice to at least be in the conversation.

I feel we are a season away from having a rounded enough squad to push for automatic promotion so this season was always going to be about helping Hirschi dominate whilst we wait for the other pieces to finish their development.

Although I hate that I have to face Hirschi, I bloody love that he's finally getting the training love! He's going to be a one man army and combined with Misbah and if Einhorn can put together a good season you should be more than safe, although I don't have the big picture to tell if it's going to be enough to be in promotion contention!
