@Ezee: Thanks for the nice words and I hope you are right about next season!

@redordead: Indeed, despite starting on the slower side, Howson's contributions were invaluable in our promotion push! Hocevar was a great domestique in most races he raced, so can't complain there either Smile

Rider Development

It's the end of the year. Our talents have gained significant experience throughout the same and are ready to take the next step(s) in the development. We take a look at them below:

Mick Van Dijke | Age: 24 | Pot: 4 | Lvl: 4.100
FLMOHITTSTRSRCCOSPACFTDHPR
2024 stats69717671747471677172747272
2025 Stats69737871747572677174767272
Mick VD is the best of of our talents who are maxing this year. He has developed into a puncher who can hold his own on most climbs and can also ride a decent pace against the clock. We are really excited about what the future holds for one of our best home grown focus region riders.

Tim Van Dijke | Age: 24 | Pot: 5 | Lvl: 4.100

2025 Stats77617075737674667371657377
Tim VD has developed into a super-strong flat rider, who will be an excellent addition to both our TTT squad and also the sprint train. We hope he can bring the double trouble with his brother, with them covering almost all terrains we ride in!

Daan Hoole | Age: 24 | Pot: 5 | Lvl: 4.100
FLMOHITTSTRSRCCOSPACFTDHPR

2025 Stats73686774747669756869707071
We love our all-rounders and Hoole is the latest in the line of talents who can hold his own on multiple terrains. Hoole would be another peg in the TTT unit for us, along with being a strong domestique for the cobbles squad.

Naveen John | Age: 29 | Pot: 3 | Lvl: 4.100
FLMOHITTSTRSRCCOSPACFTDHPR

2025 Stats68706875707372586467746676
The first Indian rider to max out in the MG is the Indian legend Naveen John, who will directly slot in to our stage racing and TTT units. We hope to see him also take some chances in the breaks.

Leo Hayter | Age: 23 | Pot: 4 | Lvl: 4

2025 Stats73776874747471616675667075
Potential Stats73796976757573616675667077
Possibly the best talent we've ever recruited, Leo has taken another step towards his full potential, and immediately becomes a sub-top leader for stage races. We are looking forward to how well he can already cope up with increased responsibilities on his shoulders next season, in the PT no less!

Esow Alben | Age: 23 | Pot: 5 | Lvl: 4
FLMOHITTSTRSRCCOSPACFTDHPR
2024 stats73586362716461527275626469
2025 Stats75586463726666527577626571
Potential Stats77586463736870527779626573
Alben is another rider who takes the penultimate step in his development, and is now a versatile sprinter and roleur for the team. He should be able to immediately slot into those areas of the team next season.

Yanglem Rojith Singh | Age: 24 | Pot: 3 | Lvl: 3
FLMOHITTSTRSRCCOSPACFTDHPR

2025 Stats68626472697065687072616072
Potential Stats71626476727267687274616076
The late bloomer improves in his core area of time-trialing but still has a way to go towards becoming a regular feature in that area of the team. Another spell on loan will probably help him out next season.

Ronaldo Laitonjam Singh | Age: 22 | Pot: 6 | Lvl: 3

Potential Stats74616662707871617878586874
Our second Indian sprinting talent is also improved, but he too has a couple of steps left to take before he can start challenging at the top stage.

Declan Trezise | Age: 22 | Pot: 4 | Lvl: 3

With a huge unexpected sprint win in his neo-pro season, the future looks bright for our flat beast Trizese, and we'll be along for the ride, wherever it takes us. We hope he turns into one of those riders who no one picks to do great, but always delivers unexpected standout results against more fancied opponents.

We would like to thank Fastned, EA Vesuvio and Babymetal for their help in developing our talents. We hope they were able to help you in your seasons and look forward to more possible associations in the future.

Hayter and Mick are definitely the standout talents here but some solid riders outside of them who can definitely fill a role in years to come.

Curious to see how strong the two indian sprinters will be. Both look solid and seem good enough once maxed that they could strike the occasional lottery win.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

That's a lot of talents! Van Dijke is really cool, kind of a budget Pidcock with more puncheur emphasis.

@knockout: Agree with your assessment on MVD and Hayter. Hoping the other talents can continue for a long time as well, which reduces our need to look outside to fill those roles. The hope for Esow and Ronaldo wouid be similar to what Kulikovskiy was able to achieve this season, that is to punch above their weight in some races when getting on the good side of the sprint lottery.

@bbl: If MVD can have even half of Pidcock's influence, I'll be very happy Grin

National Championships Update
A quick recap of how we did in the National Championships, including loaned out riders:

Rider RR ITT
Damien Howson Champion
Alexandor Cataford Champion
Yanglem Rojit Singh Champion
Naveen John Champion
Aviv Yechezkel Champion
Daan Olivier Champion
Jonel Carcueva Champion
We couldn't match our tally from last season, but this was still a good return for us from this season's National Championships. It remains to be seen how many of these riders will continue to ride in our colours next season.

World Championship Update
The World Championships got off to a decent start for us, with the likes of Carcueva and Shirota helping their team leaders Quita and Amezawa to 3rd and 4th positions respectively.

Hayter kept up his good form from the Avenir to finish 5th in the U23 ITT.

The Elite ITT was a little less successful but Howson in 11th and Cataford in 17th was still a decent return.

Hayter rode the best race of his short career so far, attacking in the closing kilometers and holding on comfortably to win the U23 RR! He joins an elite list of just one more rider - Silvio Herklotz - to have won Avenir and the U23 RR in the same season!

And with that it's a wrap for the 2024 season! See you soon in the new season...
