Added Laporte for laughs, I don't think anyone ever got 0 points from their top 2 picks in this game before.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Not a lot of scoring potential, but maybe enough to get us over the line. Though the Pacifiers line-up looks much more ... French Grin

Guess I'm still trying to find the balance for having some riders for all blocks, doesn't look great for the final one with just 3 starters ^^

Well, I guess there's no better way to end the season (as I have no starters in the final race) than to win the last race Smile Tronchon was awesome with 2nd and 1st in his last two races, and even gets teammate points twice as well. Wright in the Top 10 twice, too, so the end of the year was pretty good.
Will try to summarize the season at a later point, but there have been quite some nice results, but also lots of disappointing riders. Mozzato and Rota the most notable ones, both were quite good in the past but almost completely useless this year.

If only Gautherat had been gifted the win by Tronchon instead of the other way around... Guess we can't be upset with some very good points here too.

Last race of the game today! In the rankings, the Pacifiers got the gap to the Comrades down to about 50 points, so it will all be decided in the final race. A podium finish from Jeanniere or Penhoet could be enough!

The next spots all seem to be set, with the Fearless overtaking the Mariners by quite a lot on the end. The Inspectors had a good enough block to secure a 10 finish, but for the final top 10 spot it's only 80 points between the 4 remaining teams. The last place also seems set in stone, but miracles can always happen!

They could end on the podium, but some good contenders there as well. Perhaps Barbier can surprise. In the end, Kooij and Lapeira's yes or not participating to races and constantly changing it really didn't help me. Definitely because Laurance was also the name I deleted as final rider with Kooij supposedly going to Eschborn Pfft And I also haven't forgiven him for going to Kuurne after dropping out of the startlist just before our race selection here Grin

Final results

This was the first edition where the winner would be decided in the last race. The Pacifiers had a good shot at the title, but some German efficiency decided the win for the Comrades. Ackermann won the race, making the rest of the results irrelevant.

So, congratulations to the 2025 winners, Cunego's Comrades. Van Aert probably didn't have his best year, but Ganna, Nys, Benoot, Moschetti, Kung, Barré and Venturini were all excellent picks! Like last year, the team with the biggest depth won over the superstar teams. Despite a slow start, the manager perfectly guided this team to the win!

The Pacifiers are a very deserving second. In the end I'd say the race selections killed them, as a lot of points were lost by riders switching in/out last minute. I don't have the exact numbers, but I think they are the team with the most fictional points from benched riders. A missed opportunity to become the first franchise to win the game twice!

The final podium spot goes to the Hornets. Despite a stellar performance from Pogacar, the rest of the team didn't really step up to score in the blocks Pogacar didn't ride. Gregoire and Skjelmose tried, but cobbles and sprint sections were close to non-existent.

In 4th place we have the L. Pedersen kept them in the title race for a very long time, but when the Ardennes came along, there was no one left to help out. Wellens and Milan were great picks, but I do feel some of the other first half picks could have been better here.

The 5th place goes to the Fearless with a great win in the final block. I bet they also don't regret getting Pidcock instead of Hirschi anymore. Fretin, Tronchon and Wright were all great picks as well, so a deserved top 5 finish for them!

In 6th place come the Mariners, who also lost quite some points along the way, but most damage came from their top 2 picks, who combined for 0 points. All the other riders scored points by the way. Still, it's good news for the game as the manager needs to win at least once before retiring.

In 7th place are the Racoons, who couldn't defend last year's win. Being in the middle is always unlucky, but I also feel riders like Stuyven, Van Baarle en Thijssen were a bit disappointing compared to previous years. Still, upper half finish is worthy of recognition!

Next up are the Turuls, who had good picks in Merlier and Evenepoel, but some others were a bit questionable with a lot of riders not getting a lot of starts, let alone points. They made the 1000 point mark though, which is always nice.

In 9th place are the Inspectors. Choosing Luxembourg was brave, but it didn't help them much in the home rider rounds. I also feel Ayuso could have been a top 5 rider if UAE would have given him more races. Good old Hofstetter was an excellent pick though.

The final top 10 spot, with 1 point difference, goes to the Spokes! They probably didn't make the most of their nr1 draft pick, but some excellent final rounds saw them finish in the top 10 for an honourable mention.

In the end, the Ice Tulips fell short of the top 10, I guess because of missed deadlines and missed points. Especially not selecting Meurisse and Dillier made the miss out on a lot of assist points.

The Bonkers, another quite inactive team, had quite a good top 8 draft to get them through the game. Excellent pick in Powless, with also Teunissen and Trentin contributing regularly.

In the end, the Cobblers avoided the last place. De Lie and Pithie didn't really show their true potential this year, with a few other of their picks just not racing a lot. Ben Healy's excellent Ardennes gave the team what it needed to finish 13th.

In final place, proving AI isn't quite there yet, the GTP's. Also not in the best place for the draft I guess, but even then there were some questionable picks. The only redemption I can give them, is that they did not score any of the five zero point blocks.

And finally the rider rankings. There were 3 superstars this year, but one of them was actually a super-superstar. Just let these results sink in: Won Strade, 3rd in San Remo, won the Ronde, 2nd in Roubaix, 2nd in the Amstel, won Fleche, won Liege. That was Tadej Pogacar's epic 2025 classic season. I don't think we've seen this since Merckx' 1973 season.

Thank you for the final rankings and running the game again, Ollfardh! Always a pleasure to compete.

We indeed weren't very lucky with some rider's participation in races and mostly because of them deciding to join or not quite last minute, but I think everybody had his fair share of bad luck because of that, also injuries and of course with the draft position. Van Der Poel obviously gave me a lot of points, so can't say I was unlucky with my draft position Pfft

Congratulations to cunego on the win! If the game is back next year, I'll do my best to become the first franchise to get those two titles Wink

Thanks Ollfardh for running this again, great stuff Smile and congrats to cunego with the win!

If even Tadej can't help me out, it will be difficult to ever win this game Pfft But I'll happily take third.

Thank you Ollfardh for another season of classics fun and despair. It's been more of the latter for me this season, so maybe the Cobblers should actually draft a good cobbler or two next season...
Also congrats to cunego for the win, it's been close at the top this year.

The evil of AI has been defeated Pfft

(Even though I made some questionnable picks myself, such as not including Haller for Paris Roubaix, maybe could have just avoided last place).

Thanks Ollfardh, congrats cunego!

Hirschi instead of Pedersen... what was I thinking? Not the only time I ask myself that, but still a very fun season.

Need to find a new country for next season!

What a neat way to end this with a win by Ackermann, who in just that one performance ends up justifying his selection. In general, cool that it ended up being decided on the final day, and even for the first time ever!

Very happy to come out on top, of course. Like you said, I was very fortunate with my mid- to late-round picks. It was really fun following the likes of Barre or Venturini or Moschetti, who I otherwise wouldn't have taken note of. Only two riders with 0 points, too, if I'm not mistaken, in Van de Paar and Bauhaus. And Ganna R10 was probably the pick of the entire draft, what a great season he had!

As always, thank you so much for running the game @Ollfardh!

Ollfardh
Thanks all for playing!

I though I had quite a good team after the draft, despite a bad position that made me lose quite some picks to UU. But then Laporte didn't show up (literally) and Mohoric didn't show up (figuratively). I'm also glad the 100 Waerenskjold points didn't affect me in the end.

As always, suggestions to improve the game are always welcome. I still don't like how picking Pogacar or Van der Poel is pretty much a guaranteed podium, but it's hard to counter that when they win over half of the races they participate in.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

alexkr00
Congrats cunego and thanks Ollfardh for organizing this again!

With my draft position it was impossible to access any top riders (well Matthews scored pretty well actually Pfft) or hidden gems (except maybe Del Grosso who didn't even race that much in the end) and try to retain the title. In the end I'm happy with my final spot, not great, not terrible. Some riders not living up to the expectations, but also some awful picks on my side. Hopefully I'll be more lucky in next year's draft.
