Looking at R2, I definitely can't complain with being nr. 13

I'll set a reminder to get this in tonight. The mid-round position is never great early on in the draft, but we'll manage.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Ah shit, so you were right when you told us to check our outbox. Saying this in plural so it doesn't look like I was the only one to forget to press send.

Draft R1-3
First off, I always make a few mistakes with this, so sorry in advance. Just let me know here or in PM and we'll fix it. I will always correct my mistakes, even if it impacts others. So yeah, please bear with me.
Pedersen and Hirschi were the most popular names in Round 1, all in all very similar lists. 4 people got their first choice. I think Laurens had to down to 7th pick, which is more or less ok as he was 14th to draft.
R2 was mostly Mathieu vs. Pogi, with some people lower on the list not even bothering As always I congratulate those who found some obscure track medals, and even a gravel medal!
R3 saw the overload of Belgians teams hurting each other as usual, while other managers were cursing some earlier picks.
| Spokes | Cobblers | Fearless | L | Mariners | Bonkers | GPTs | Racoons | Ice Tulips | Turuls | Inspectors | Comrades | Pacifiers | Hornets | R1 | HIRSCHI Marc | DE LIE Arnaud | PIDCOCK Thomas | PEDERSEN Mads | LAPORTE Christophe | VAN GILS Maxim | JORGENSON Matteo | MATTHEWS Michael | GIRMAY Biniam | MERLIER Tim | COSNEFROY Benoit | KUNG Stefan | KOOIJ Olav | SKJELMOSE Mattias | R2 | VERMEERSCH Gianni | PITHIE Laurence | MORGADO Antonio | SHEFFIELD Magnus | MOHORIC Matej | POLITT Nils | HAYTER Ethan | STUYVEN Jasper | SEGAERT Alec | EVENEPOEL Remco | ALAPHILIPPE Julian | VAN AERT Wout | VAN DER POEL Mathieu | POGACAR Tadej | R3 | SCHACHMANN Maximilian | MADOUAS Valentin | SCHMID Mauro | MILAN Jonathan | PHILIPSEN Jasper | POWLESS Neilson | TEUNS Dylan | VAN BAARLE Dylan | VAN POPPEL Danny | VAN EETVELT Lennert | GENIETS Kevin | DEGENKOLB John | LAPEIRA Paul | BERCKMOES Jenno |
I will need the next round by monday morning, so 10/02 at 08:00. I'll try to remember the actual date this time.
Please send in:
R4: A rider born 01/01/2002 or later
R5: A rider with a GT Stage win
R6: A rider from a country bordering your home nation (pick only one country for your list)
After this, the next round will have 4 lists
Spoiler R7: A rider from a PCT team
R8: A rider who was in a PCT team last year
R9: A rider from your home nation or a country bordering it (pick only one country)
R10: Free pick

Oh shit... I thought 3rd in the draft would be enough to get Hirschi, really sad to not have him
Pidcock should be fun as well, though, obviously heavily depending on his schedule. AlUla Tour was pretty impressive already. And if I can't get a Swiss rider, at least get one from a Swiss team
Morgado wasn't the prime choice, but definitely an interesting pick for the cobbles.
And Schmid was the 2nd pick after Küng, who even made R1 and therefore was never within reach. Last year was a disaster, and TDU was awful - but winning GORR is a pretty good statement. So hopefully some more points than last year ^^

Would've loved to get Politt, but that was always unlikely. Happy to be rooting even more for Degenkolb than I would've anyway, though Looks like Küng's race calendar is still up in the air, but if he does the usual races and performs similarly to the last two or three years, he should be a decent scorer. And Wout is of course great to have, I expect he'll be a very consistent source of points.
Cobblers and Mariners look very strong to me, Bonkers potentially as well with a favorable Powless schdeule, I think. Interesting to see quite a few potential R4 picks already taken in R2, that does diminish the value of Pick 3 a little bit, but still some good riders available.
Also, how on earth has Pedersen not won a monument yet?

Laporte was my 5th pick, so I guess you know who the other 4 were. I didn't expect to get Mohoric, so kinda happy there. Although I have a history of selecting over their peak riders who disappointed me in the last seasons (Alaphilippe, Sagan, Asgreen). Philipsen is a big question mark if he can repeat last year, but he should win something at least.
Cobblers looking good so far, with lots of cobblers. Pacifiers have great potential, but I'm not sure if Kooij is getting a lot of opportunities. Racoons also have 3 good picks in the middle.

Not unhappy with Kooij, think he is a strong sprinter and will go to some classics so good. Also as teammate from Van Aert, so possible extra points if he can't sprint himself.
Van Der Poel obviously not a bad rider, hopefully he does enough classics and if he just wins everything again i'm fine with it.
And Lapeira seems to have quite some point scoring potential as well in the bigger classics looking at his results of last year, and might join some smaller ones as well as semi-favourite being a Frenchman in a French team.
Fun to see some great names in R1 that I would have obviously liked as well but never even though of/noticed when going through some riders on pcs/my mind.
Thanks for the work, Ollfardh!

I'm ready to get hurt again by Van Baarle. He broke his collarbone in Down Under so that's actually very likely to happen.
