If anyone wants some depth, I could be willing to part with some scorers for a big time piece. Feel like I have a lot of talent wasted on my bench.
Of course, depth is important, so I'm not looking to disrupt things too much given my success so far. But we're open for business for sure.

Can JDog or someone else explain to me what happens with the McLaurin trade in terms of playing this week? The league says it's pending until Saturday morning, which is after McLaughlin plays but before all the guys I'm trading away play. Does that mean I don't have access to any of those guys this week? That Berlin Whales has access to all of them? Or all besides Terry? Trying to figure out how I can plan my roster for this matchup.

From a brief google search which mainly yielded this reddit post, my understanding is that if Terry plays for kb, the deal will either be processed on Tuesday or maybe not at all, but if Terry's on the bench, it may go through, in which case I think the three other players should be available on Sunday. It's made trickier by the fact that many of the answers don't specify the platform, but one option might also be for jseadog to push the trade through as commissioner before Thursday night, if that's possible in the NFL app. Imo, nothing really would speak against that.
I would even go one step further and argue that we don't need trade approval at all. I feel like given that we know each other from this platform, and that most of us have been doing playing together for quite a while, there's enough trust at least on my part that no egrigeous trade shenanigans would take place. Or at least reduce it to a day or so, or sth like that?

I would certainly appreciate that. I'm obviously happy to defer if anyone has a concern with a trade, but if no one has a problem, I don't think almost a full week of approval (given how the games might stall things) is necessary. I think it's clear kb and I were dealing at arms length trying to improve our teams based on current needs.
Of course, if nothing can happen before Saturday at this point, it's not the end of the world. But would be nice to have the guy I traded for in the fold if I can't uae the guys I'm trading either.

I turned off trade approvals. They were on by default. I don't think it's a necessary thing in this league as we all trust each other and have played for years. Hopefully it goes through. If there's an issue with someone you wanted to use before the play, send me a clear PM with who you wanted to put in for who and I can manually swap them out if it comes down to it.

Don't think that worked for the preexisting deal unfortunately, but thank you for trying! Not a huge issue for me — except that if Terry playing tonight pushes the processing deadline to next Tuesday, I'll need to drop someone to activate Nico Collins for Sunday. But I can also just leave him on IR an extra week too.
Edit: Oof, just remembered I was planning to use the second roster spot for a McBride TE replacement for this week too. Looks like some nice guys will be hitting the waiver wire, or I'll have just punt this week's matchup.

lol I noticed that, very funny timing. Honestly I'd still take it since now I have to either drop someone else to replace McBride for the week or just basically give up on this weekend's game while I wait for the trade to process. I'd still be down to take Terry at the slot I emailed Jdog with his 2 points, and let you start Chubb/Meyers/Dell tomorrow in his place. But obviously we'd be rolling things back at that point and not sure how opponent's would feel, or if forcing that through is even possible.
In any case, this saga has been a good notice for the future to be wary of trading guys playing TNF!

If you don't activate Collins before Tuesday the deal will still not go through as you cannot do any transactions if you have an ineligible player in your IR spot.

So essentially, this trade can basically never go through as I'd have have to drop a player (likely one I'm trading) beforehand anyway? Damn. I'll admit I'm a little frustrated if that's the case because the whole point in proposing the trade last weekend was to make use of my depth to improve my starting lineup while Collins was still out, so he could be activated into an open roster spot later. But now that he's back this week he's ineligible for that IR slot even though he won't need it after the trade. I guess it let me propose the trade in the first place because he wasn't ineligible for IR yet at the time. I suppose I should have had the foresight to know that this could happen and made some deal earlier.
If it's confirmed that there's essentially no way this trade happens in the end (maybe JDog can say for sure), I guess I should just drop my guys now then so I still have a shot to win this week. Congrats to whoever is high on the waiver priority.
Edit: Actually, all the guys I'm trading are un-droppable due to a pending transaction (which you say can't actually go through), but it's too late for me to cancel it cause it's already been accepted. So I'd have to drop other players to compete this week. My whole roster is tied up in a trade that won't actually happen. What an absolute mess I've made for myself.

When you put it like that it's actually pretty funny
Same thing happened to me last year when I completely forgot about the existence of the player I had on my IR spot.

That makes sense, thanks for letting me know! What a series of errors by me lol. In the end I should have actually mobilized people to vote against the trade and get it cancelled. Then at least I could drop one of those guys instead of one of my preferred options lmao.

Lamar and Nico on bye is rough, but Mixon also being on bye makes up for it a bit. Will be an exciting matchup. I feel like the margins between teams are razor thin this year.

The trick is being eliminated before the playoffs begin
I'm actually lucky this happened as I'd have five starters on bye this week (which shows how good the planning was anyway) ...

Incredible game for Puka, and very very savvy pickup by Mre with Guerrendo for Mixon's bye. Hoping I have a chance next week to come back with Breece/Malik healthy and Lamar/Nico playing, but it's gonna be very very difficult.

What a week to put up 180 points... Got lucky with Lamar being on his bye week. Hopefully he doesn't go crazy this week and wipe out my 50-point cushion. Otherwise we will be headed to the "Super Bowl" for just the third time in 15 years.

Critical mistake this week. Left Pickens in and didn't realize he was out until it was too late. Waddle had a great week on the bench. I am essentially tied instead of up by 20 or so points.
