Bit of a nothing race for us, I guess 11th isn't the end of the world given we weren't active at all in the finale.
And poor Ivan Kipruto finishing almost 25 minutes down in his first pro race, he's a long way from home...

Wowowow!! Thanks to Abhi for the excellent report first of. I’d very much appreciate if he runs and reports all the C2 races if that’s the kind of result we can expect!
Had a sneaking suspicion that Hermans would have a part to play, but to take the win far exceeds! He’s already paid back his 50k wage, and also encouraging to see both of our other capable hills riders place in the top 25. There goes our chance of keeping Hermans on minimum wage next season, already, though!
Euskotren with some really solid depth scoring, and it was really interesting to see how PCM treated Cervelo this race. Not the scorer/overall scoring jt hoped for, I’m sure, but McCormick with a really solid result nonetheless.
More of this please!

On the one hand it's great scoring , on the other hand it's just such a weird rider for the scoring to come from! Looking back at the photos Moscon actually misses the move completely and must have been gassed early as you can see Mcormick working earlier in the race so he's rode an absolute cracking ride to still be there at the end. Interesting race though a lot to unpack |

At least he got to talk a bit with a prologue specialist. Maybe he learned a thing or two

Cervelo riding for Hermans over Moscon, Duvel riding for McCormick over Lyu works out pretty well in the end. Congrats to both new teams. Just need to hope the same thing doens't happen on a tougher parcours. I also think the stronger guys play a role in keeping the finisher fresh, versus say Nikiema who didn't have that support. Although your observation about McCormick isn't totally consistent with that narrative, but hard to know how much work he really did from an image.
Great race from a McCormick perspective with McCormick finsihing second and old boy Boswell with a nice first race for our friends at Glanbia.

Thanks for the preview and report!
Not as good a result as last season, but still an amazing once points wise. Avoiding any work was key, even though the competiton was probably too strong to win.
Congrats to the winner!

Not sure why Svab didn’t sprint. Good to have someone in the front group though. Congrats to the winner and a great report to start off the season!

Fascinating finish there and a real surprise to see McCormcik get the priority for Cervelo, HOWEVER, that means that the engine is recognizing the best riders on the day and not just via OG stats which is great sign for deep teams in the division.
A great sign for Duvel-Tsingtao too! Great things coming for them it appears.
Congrats to all and many thanks for a great report.

First Race of the season and we could score well. Great Start! Looks like Guerreiro started his sprint a little bit late but I am still really satisfied with his 4th place and thats exactly what I hoped from him, scoring well in the hilly races. Also another Point from Mager is nice and I am sure he will deliver more in the future too. Overall a good start we can be really happy with and feels like this may have been already our best result in a hilly race ever. Though this wasnt hard
Congrats to the winner and the guys on the podium. But also too imlardik, 3 guys in top 10 is huge too.

I guess Svab (and Nikiema) were out of energy. Perhaps due to lack of support as Ulrich Ulriksen has suggested?

This wasnt really the start of the season we aimed for. But giving the team we did send there i guess its not surprising we couldnt score. At least we gained some experience ^-^ Congratulations to the riders and teams finishing well here and scoring points! |

Unmaxed Govekar might have had a real chance to win this race if he waited for the sprint instead of attacking early.

A very difficult race situation, sad to see us only get 15th place on maybe our biggest goal of the season, but the strongest riders definitely won this time! Congrats!
Thanks for the reporting again this year! |
