@knockout: Would be nice to do better than 8th for sure Pfft Never a bad idea to keep good relations with past sponsors I think!

Cataford is such a cool rider. Some serious TT power between him and Howson. Olivier is also top notch for the PCT division Grin

Yechezkel is brought in to add a body to our cobbles squad, which will definitely be flying without a designated leader this season.

Love Trezise, I think you go sprinter path, with the sprinter matrix coming down and the flat stats I think he will win races. Although I guess you have Singh on that path, and he has really nice back ups as well.

Cataford I am very jealous about, as you know.

Love the new signings. Yechezkel is a very useful cobbles domestique and Trezise another talent I really like. Maybe a mix of fighter and sprint could also be an option for him. Franco is a very useful avenir domestique immediately (as well as in his 15 real rd's), and concerning Miholjevic it's almost crazy no regional team went for a rider that's able to max out at 70/71 mtn/hill and 75/77 tt/prol Pfft Great signings!

Choi and Vesely were the big name outgoings in this transfer window. In all, we let me go of around 2000 points, which we will need to replace and better with the incomings! We would like to thank all the above riders for having contributed to the team in their time with us.

@Ulrich: I think sprint is indeed the better path for Trezise, but that 79 flat stat is a very nice thing to have! We've been jealous of Cataford for a few years now Pfft

@Nemolito: I like the latest signings as well. Was looking for a cobbles rider at the end and when the chance arose to get Yechezkel, it was a no-brainer. Very surprised both Trezise and Miholjevic did not get picked up earlier, they seem like they can do well when maxed.

The Van Dijkes and Hayter continue to be our star talents, with the brothers set to max at the end of the season. Having said this, we have added more talents this time, and the focus was definitely on expanding the width of capabilities for the lot of them. The only thing missing is probably a strong cobbles talent for the future, so maybe that will be a target for us next season!

Management Thoughts
We went into this off season with a very different strategy than past years. For the time as a team, we prioritized the signing of a TT rider higher than anything else. We were pleased that we were able to do so with Howson right at the start of the window. The Cataford signing fell into our lap with the circumstances. The other major development is of course the signing of Olivier, a rider we've admired and kept an eye on for many years, and now finally could sign. Beyond this, we sort of sold down with the outgoings much more significant than the riders coming in as replacements. We were very pleased to be able to sign both Indian talents for the season, and in general are very pleased with the state of our talent factory presently.

We hope this team can take a step forward from last two seasons, and finally be in promotion contention next season. The management has tried our best to improve on an already good team from last year and hope it bears fruit in the races.

@bbl: Hope your prediction comes true Smile

@redordead: Fran will definitely be using up all his available RDs with us!

I like your roster and really hope this year's the year where you go to PT, after being close before. As long as there aren't too many unlucky situations it really seems like a real possibility.

Your (former) regional talents developing is a great thing to see as well. And I'm already looking forward to see what Hayter has to offer in Avenir!

Don't quite know how your 2024 roster compares to the 2023 tbh... Even though Choi was great, Olivier could indeed be an upgrade, although he obviously can't target the same races due to his lower TT. But Olivier scored 100 points more last year, and in particular with Choi starting his decline, that was a logical move. Not in terms of regional focus of the main sponsor, but as it was said before, the Dutchies won't be unhappy Wink

I guess you also learnt from Benoot's performance last year how to better plan him this year, meaning he could - or should - score bigger.

But then, there are all the points lost from Ringheim and especially Vesely. Can Cataford and Howson replace them? Cataford looks a lot like Paillot who did an awesome job, but he's slightly weaker in pure TTs. Howson on the other hand is Top 5 material in flat TT races. Can they fill that 900 points gap? It could be, but it could also be slightly lower. But Kulikovskiy should bring some points, too.
Then, Leemreize perfectly replaces Carboni, and Carcueva could replace Kozhatayev's points. So could it actually be Mick van Dijke who makes the difference?

Overall, I guess there's indeed some higher scoring potential for you this year - but most importantly, I estimate the 2024 PCT division to be weaker overall than last year's, so a Top 5 looks like a reachable target for you indeed Smile Best of luck Smile

Booker
I really really like this roster for PCT. Promotion incoming!

The depth across terrains is *chef’s kiss* and love the local + ex-Phillips themes coming through!

I too have you as one of the top promotion contenders. Very strong and versatile team, with both high potential scorers, and depth. Should be a really good season for you.

@Nemolito: Well I hope you are right and we can do better than last year! Looking forward to the Avenir myself Grin

@Fabianski: Basic idea is to have the new leaders - Olivier, Howson, Cataford and Kulikovskiy outscore the departed trio of Choi, Vesely and Ringheim. The rest of the team are quite similar to what we had last time I would say. Benoot indeed has a slightly different calendar to last, so hope that works out. Let's hope it is enough this time!

@Booker: Thanks for the nice words Smile Hope we can live up to it.

@SotD: I hope your assessment turns out to be accurate at the end of the season. Do like where we ended with the squad myself.

@redordead: Let's see if the better leaders on paper can deliver a higher finish!

Really nice roster of talents, the Dutch and Indian sponsors must be delighted. It'll be particularly interesting to see what direction you take Hayter in, I think the stage racer profile with perhaps a bit of extra training on top could be a phenomenal rider for years to come.

Do hope the sponsors like the way we are headed with our talent factory. Now to make some headway into our primary focus region Pfft

The stage race training is indeed the plan for Hayter, with trainings lined up wherever possible. Hopefully you are right about his future potential Smile
