Very glad that Kasper Andersen ended up getting picked up! Was my last stagiare hopeful that had to be cut for budget, now he should get a lot more development chances in CT.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Glad to see two more restatted riders in Dobre and Welsford find a team. Dobre was restatted to have a decent CT domestique for the Romanian CT team that in the end never came to exist. Welsford will be happy to join other real life NZ top rider Bennett at the amazing home team Spark

And here is one set of potential maxed stats for the unmaxed riders (excluding Kim Magnussen who will start his decline immediately)
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | XP | | Guangtong Ma | 72 | 66 | 68 | 63 | 71 | 69 | 80 | 55 | 76 | 76 | 64 | 68 | 66 | 4.100 | | Itsuki Koide | 68 | 73 | 72 | 73 | 67 | 70 | 70 | 60 | 60 | 67 | 61 | 63 | 71 | 4.100 | | Kristjan Johanson | 63 | 77 | 70 | 54 | 65 | 68 | 62 | 52 | 62 | 70 | 58 | 79 | 54 | 4.100 | | Samuel Welsford | 75 | 59 | 64 | 64 | 70 | 70 | 76 | 66 | 77 | 77 | 64 | 65 | 66 | 4.100 | | Milan Paulus | 75 | 66 | 67 | 65 | 70 | 72 | 68 | 62 | 71 | 75 | 77 | 70 | 64 | 4.100 | | Ruben Acosta | 67 | 74 | 64 | 63 | 78 | 77 | 67 | 63 | 62 | 61 | 67 | 80 | 63 | 4.100 | | Kasper Andersen | 75 | 65 | 68 | 63 | 75 | 66 | 80 | 69 | 76 | 73 | 66 | 72 | 58 | 4.100 | | Yutao Shen | 66 | 69 | 74 | 58 | 70 | 72 | 75 | 52 | 55 | 70 | 72 | 63 | 61 | 4.100 |
Gotta say, I'm a bit underwhelmed by the talents picked in the draft. Sure some of them are there for regional reasons but especially with some of them being on the older side of the age range, there are quite a few talents I'd rate a lot higher than these. Names like Matthijs Paaschens, Ahmet Örken, Jeremy Bellicaud, Martin Lavric, Patryk Gorecki, Gregory Vanderpool are names i want to throw into the ring here. Some of them will likely never get maxed now since they needed to max now if they wanted to have two prime seasons at maxed stats.

I had Andersen like this (C1>C1>Hill>C1):
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 69 | 71 | 75 | 64 | 72 | 69 | 72 | 64 | 70 | 73 | 73 | 72 | 58 |
Which I think is not a useless rider at all after a couple more years of stat deflation. Could also switch one of the level 2/4 trainings out for Fighter/Hills/Sprinter if you want more flat at the expense of climbing ability.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

There are a couple of paths for several of the talents e.g. Koide could be a more one-dimensional puncheur too. Just picked one fairly quickly that i liked the most.
For Andersen your path is probably the more useful path that most managers would prefer and for most teams i probably would agree. It's surely the better scorer since my version will never a stage or anything like that. But i kinda like a stat line like that with good flat and good climbing stats as leadout for a sprinter with fairly low acceleration. Think prime versions of Van Stayen or Eislers. Probably needs more RES i guess so Track-Sprint might be a better option than pure sprint with that idea:
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 75 | 65 | 68 | 64 | 71 | 70 | 79 | 64 | 76 | 73 | 66 | 72 | 65 |

With the (yet not picked) #25 pick Hilcona Racing Team picks Adam Blythe and completes the 2024 CT draft. |
