Žalgiris is BACK to clap some cheeks.
After achieving the main goal of survival last year, the staff is ready for squad transformation into a (sort of) fully regional one. This means quite a bit of maneuvering during offseasons due to much shorter list of available riders, but Žalgiris is ready to take on that challenge.
Renewals went pretty well for us. We did have to, for my money, overpay for some riders who we did not have intentions of selling, but we also did not want to have the repeat of Beniušis debacle and waste our time and money in free agency. All the riders we were looking to sell have reduced their salaries bar Moscon due to his training, but we be chillin. We have bid adieu to Rasmus Guldhammer, Max Losch (shock), Martin Laas, Mateo Frankovic, Carl Fredrik Hagen, Murilo Affonso, Jesus Herrada and Wojciech Pszczolarski. We thank some of them for their service.
Here's the current SQUAD

It's time to go post sponsored by AFTV
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | XP | Age | Pot | Wage | | Kristoffer Halvorsen | 76 | 58 | 65 | 63 | 74 | 71 | 80 | 70 | 81 | 80 | 70 | 61 | 68 | 77.94 | 4.100 | 28 | 6 | 400,000 |
Yes, it was not a windup, Halvorsen IS leaving. A true LEDGE in Lithuania, Kristoffer is looking for a new challenge. Still in his prime, a true superstar (at very least in PCT) should be of interest to any team in every division. We wish to buy the bank upon completion of the transfer.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | XP | Age | Pot | Wage | | Gianni Moscon | 71 | 73 | 80 | 66 | 76 | 77 | 75 | 53 | 59 | 73 | 71 | 69 | 70 | 77.19 | 4.100 | 30 | 5 | 240,000 |
One of biggest flops last year, Moscon is obviously a great rider and his underperformance can be chalked up to anti Lithuania bias and active rigging against Žalgiris. Should be a fantastic signing for any team in the increasingly competitive CT division
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | XP | Age | Pot | Wage | | Dion Smith | 69 | 78 | 75 | 68 | 72 | 74 | 75 | 59 | 66 | 74 | 75 | 71 | 65 | 76.33 | 4.100 | 31 | 5 | 150,000 |
Žalgiris simply wasn't the right team for Dion. He can be utilised in much better way for teams more constructed to his strengths. Smith is likely to also dominate CT if given opportunity
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | XP | Age | Pot | Wage | | Juan Sossa | 67 | 70 | 74 | 57 | 74 | 71 | 72 | 55 | 61 | 68 | 71 | 67 | 58 | 71.99 | 3.28 | 23 | 5 | 100,000 | | Aleksandr Bereznyak | 69 | 69 | 65 | 72 | 68 | 73 | 66 | 57 | 58 | 62 | 63 | 68 | 72 | 70.08 | 3.29 | 23 | 4 | 50,000 | | Brandon Rodriguez | 74 | 58 | 61 | 64 | 70 | 70 | 60 | 60 | 72 | 72 | 75 | 67 | 66 | 70.05 | 3.28 | 23 | 4 | 50,000 |
A collection of talents headlined by Sossa. Possibly interesting to all the various regional teams that are currently in the tour. We have no intention of keeping any of them, which you should understand what that means.
---
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | XP | Age | Pot | Wage | | Kristaps Budenieks | 69 | 75 | 75 | 63 | 70 | 75 | 72 | 70 | 69 | 74 | 75 | 72 | 61 | 75.06 | 4.100 | 29 | 2 | 90,000 | | Vadim Pronskiy | 64 | 77 | 73 | 63 | 73 | 72 | 77 | 58 | 61 | 73 | 73 | 70 | 63 | 74.81 | 4.100 | 26 | 5 | 90,000 |
These two fellows can also be pried away from Žalgiris. We do not have any strong loyalties toward them and they can be a nice boost to any team.
bye bye now

Good renewals for you, but probably some work to be done to get some new leaders. Kmieliauskas won't be able to do it all on his own, though he'll probably be the best TT rider we ever had with us for quite some time.

Oooh some very interesting riders there on the block. You're nearly able to be going fully Baltic it seems...
I like the write-up style as well, all business, no fluff |

It would be extremely hard to field a competitive PCT Baltic only team currently, it would take Evonik to completely drop the Latvians , but I am committed towards CIS/Good Europe only roster (except talents). It will take some time, but at very least Lithuania is in decent spot now as well. And yes riders are without a doubt interesting, they sure better be cause I am gooning thinking of the money.
I am all business indeed, I never chat complete nonsense to people, no sir.

My overinflated ego thinks I can use my overpowered charisma (aka money) to make it so there is very little work getting my leaders. But the self imposed limitation definitely hurts, there aren't enough leaders to wait and pick out the bargains, I have to actively go get them currently.
Kmieliauskas will be 85TT, but we are still 4-5 (?) years away from that, nothing to worry about

Wow, some big names on the block and Moscon too! Though your hype can be intimidating at times, Halvorsen should certainly command a huge fee as you say and excited to see what you do with it. Interested how you further go into the regional project, seems like last season did what you wanted and now a "transformation" is always fun to watch.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Moscon slander is NOT tolerated. YoU cAn attribute his worst alltime output to x y z (such as shit managers hAHaha).
We will waste all the money Lithuanian National Stadium style

The Lithuanian core gets stronger each year; and there are opportunities to bring some of those who are missing back into the fold. Still, somewhat surprised by the decision to transferlist Halvorsen; although I guess you have never been anything but utilitarian.

Norway is notorious for yoinking Lithuanian children, therefore Halvorsen has to go !! Well, he has to go for acceptable price, I can always head canon the reasoning to stay.
Also, doing transfers is fun and exciting, I can't imagine just staying put for entire year and barely changing your team up, that is boring as hell !!

It'll be interesting to see the direction you take the team with some big departures on the cards. Definitely at least 1 rider who I have an interest in so we'll for sure have some discussions.

Will be interesting to me also. It's rough when you cut the database down by 80% or so, but the dopamine rush from all the correct flags is worth it. We will gladly donate an unneeded flag to your roster.

Some very interesting riders here. In particular Sossa, Smith, Budenieks and Pronskiy all could make a brilliant fit in our MO setup. I think we have been after all 4 in the past also

They are very eager to join a fellow PCT team and then terrorise me by scoring 3x points

The Balts
The biggest signing we've ever done. Videika. is. BACK.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | Wage | | Airidas Videika | 74 | 63 | 65 | 66 | 68 | 67 | 72 | 73 | 74 | 79 | 51 | 65 | 68 | 73.63 | 30 | 50,000 |
---
Next up, the TRUE LITHUANIAN SUPERSTAR, Mr. Very Nice Rider, It's Your Privilege To Have Him Guy, definitely not the only legit rider Lithuania has produced in 20 years.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Wage | | Aivaras Mikutis | 71 | 66 | 72 | 70 | 67 | 71 | 66 | 71 | 60 | 72 | 68 | 60 | 70 | 50,000 | | Aivaras Mikutis | 71 | 71 | 75 | 75 | 70 | 74 | 71 | 71 | 60 | 72 | 68 | 60 | 75 | SR | | Aivaras Mikutis | 74 | 66 | 75 | 70 | 70 | 72 | 67 | 76 | 60 | 72 | 69 | 60 | 70 | CB+CS |
Certainly leaning towards SR path as I do not see much value with those backups in the 2nd path. Also SR path is more conducive to training, even though he is so far down the list of people to train, but you never know.
---
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Wage | | Kristians Belohvosciks | 70 | 60 | 62 | 67 | 69 | 71 | 65 | 62 | 59 | 67 | 69 | 65 | 72 | 50,000 | | Kristians Belohvosciks | 77 | 60 | 63 | 74 | 73 | 76 | 70 | 62 | 64 | 70 | 69 | 65 | 79 | Track-TT |
Now this guy is actually quite exciting. A definite contender to become best prologue specialist in the world if I decide to. Very happy to have him.

oh yeah half the team also left us.

Great trio. I always liked the look of Videika, Mikutis looks really cool with multiple paths and of course i always love to see a solid latvian picked up. Please train him to the best prologue specialist in the world!

@KO
oh yeah baby. not sure if prologue comment was sarcastic, but having both an 85TT and 85PRL guy would be quite a special achievement.

Added yet another talent to our world renowned academy
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Wage | | Gal Glivar | 68 | 65 | 70 | 66 | 69 | 71 | 66 | 58 | 69 | 67 | 68 | 70 | 67 | 75,000 | | Gal Glivar | 71 | 72 | 78 | 67 | 74 | 75 | 71 | 58 | 71 | 74 | 74 | 71 | 68 | HI+C | | Gal Glivar | 71 | 74 | 75 | 73 | 76 | 76 | 73 | 58 | 69 | 68 | 69 | 71 | 74 | SR |
Definitely a nice rideroo, can always go a bit kookoo and go for SR path, I don't even remember how I came up with that first path, I think it could be optimised too

Judging by how much Knockout wanted Gabby before I eventually sold him I don't think that prologue comment is sarcastic
