Hello Adidas-Eurocash fans!!
As the 2023 transfer season runs down and the first Adidas-Eurocash squad is finalized, I'd like to announce the team's willingness to help with the development of young Poles and Germans.
Fellow teams, especially those in PCT or PT, if you have any Polish or German riders (or others nationalities too) that you would like to game some solid racing experience in an ambituous development focused CT club, please PM me for some negotiations!

Adidas-Eurocash Inaugural Signing
I'd like you all to welcome.....Mario Vogt, a 31 year old hill specialist, who is our marquee free agent signing for Adidas-Eurocash's first CT season. Vogt will be the rider on the highest wage, and after a brutal bid off against JEWA TIROL, Adidas came out on top to secure the German team's first German signing.

Adidas-Eurocash 1st Transfer Window: Experienced German free agents
Our next two signings were also Germans who we had been admiring closely for a while. The first, an 31 year old hill rider who will ride any many races alongside Vogt, but who might actually be better at finishing off races if he makes it over the parcours. Please welcome, an irl favourite of mine, the man the myth the Paris Nice winner......Max Schachmann!! Staffbase cut him from their lineup, but I could see him being an underrated CT rider on minimum wage for Adidas!

Next up is another long term target, who we are offering a chance to start anew after a couple years in free agency. Jason Osborne should be a decent domestique for us, but even at age 29, Osborne has not been fully developed, so we can still see 2 sizeable improvements for him! I am a little unhappy about the wage (another one of mine and Ezeefreak's bidding wars, love you man )

Some great German signings for you, congratulations. Vogt has 80 hill, but not the best back-up stats, and that has been a problem in the past. Hope he is able to still perform for you though, and if not hopefully Schachmann can stand up and deliver some results

I hope for youz that Engelhardt work better than with me and I look forward to see your whole squad as fellow german team. Vogt has quite the scary hill and stamina. We'll have to tire him before the finals, I guess.
And nice ACC for Schachmann!

Adidas-Eurocash 1st Transfer Window: JURA's sprint team
Our next two signings were released from new PCT team JURA-Giants, but when I read Fabianski's renewals update, I loved the look of two former members of his sprint team. Of course I mean, Polish sprinter Grzegorz Stepniak and his Swiss leadout, Marcel Aregger. Both of these riders are grizzled veterans of the sport, hopefully bringing some needed experience to our first Adidas-Eurocash team. Plus, they are minimum wage riders, but could offer way more value

You dare calling Aregger a leadout 
I definitely think that Marcel will still do a great job in CT. If he had been C2 eligible, I'd have been far more inclined to keep him. He's the kind of versatile sprinter you just love to have, capable of getting over some hills, and having a juicy (although less than last year) prologue stat for certain types of races. Good signing!
Less convinced by Stepniak, though, just because he had his 2nd decline now and his backup stats are getting bad. With the CT sprinter field being so stacked this year, I guess he'll need quite a lot of luck to get some points.
By the way, Aregger was 15th in the CT individual standings, Stepniak 45th - just to get back to the leadout question

@blasing: I'm actually kinda regretting spending so much on Vogt, now that I better understand the CT level is actually pretty strong.

@Fabianski: I noticed that Aregger is better then Stepniak, I just thought (maybe misremembered) that you had labeled Aregger as Stepniak's leadout. Either way, I'm sure Aregger will be the actualy leader in races they are both in! I feel like he's a steal for 50k wages |

Adidas-Eurocash 1st Transfer Window: The Young Germans
Ballerstedt, Keup, Wilksch, Braun, and Zuger are part of the reason Adidas-Eurocash was formed; to develop young german talent and turn them into future stars. And yeah, 5 of our riders are level 1. However, I have big plans for all 5 of these riders.
Maurice Ballerstedt, our headline youngster, I plan to make our classics leader in the future. I'm very optimistic about his high cobbles stat at age 22, but he's also a fighter!

I'm looking at Hannes Wilksch and Pierre-Pascal Keup as future climbers on our team. Wilksch might have more of the mountains GC build, and Keup could be a deadly stage hunter, climber type 1, with an elite hills and downhill stat.

Julian Braun is a slightly different case. He's 28, so he's not young in cycling terms, but still has so much room to grow. Maybe this is my inexperience talking, but I think he can offer a lot to this team in a couple years as a cheap leadout man, or even C2 time-trialist.

We've only signed on one stagiaire this season, the honor is completely owned by young german time-trialist Adrien Zuger. We're thinking about this as a trial. I'm not fully convinced by Zuger, but if he shows promise in a couple races this season, we will consider signing him permanently.

Congrats on surviving the first transfer season. Love the focus on the young German core who can grow with you.
Agree with others (and you) that Vogt is expensive but nobody gets everything right in their first transfer season (or 4th or 10th).

Adidas-Eurocash 1st Transfer Window: The other 3 Poles
As the Man-Game Admin noted in the CT draft, both of my draft picks were Poles. That was because there was about a 5 day period during the transfer window, where Adidas-Eurocash's focus on Poland was completely forgotten  . Outside of Eryk Laton, who was an early free agent target and might have been Adidas' first confirmed rider, and Grzegorz Stepniak, who we were just biding our time to get, we had definitely focused on our recruitment of Germans and other talent in the transfer window. When the final days of transfer season rolled around, Adidas-Eurocash coaches looked at the roster, to only find 2 Poles. Even while there were stronger free agents unregistered, we decided to focus on our fitting region, and draft Tracz and Gradek.
First up, Eryk Laton. He was an early free agent target for us, being one of the only decent Polish riders on free agency. He will certainly be a domestique for us, as apart of the Stepniak and Arreger sprint train, but he also has a decent prologue on his as well.

Kamil Gradek is a very similar profile rider to Laton. He's a bit stronger of a time trialist, which will be useful, but a bit weaker at everything else. Gradek will be nice to have on the squad as a rouler chasing breakaways, as a tug buddy in them, or as a genuine top 10 TT rider in some C2/C1 races.

I'm pretty excited about Szymon Tracz. He was probably the best Polish prospect on the market in a pretty disappointing class for a traditional powerhouse of cycling! I'm hoping to develop Tracz into a good climber, but I'd likely have to do some extra training, rather than just leveling up. As a newbie, I'd be interested to hear if people think spending money on training is worth it, because it seems REALLY expensive!
