The last part of the development series covers the riders that spent the year away from the team on loan. In this case everyone was on the level 1-3 clause.

Matevz spent his neo-pro season at CT team Caja Rural where he got plenty of racing. His role for next season should be either a hilly domestique or a breakaway rider. We're not quite sure how his development will go next year, but there is some potential that he could step into a leadership role in the future.

Kristjan started off with us as a stagiare so he's a year behind optimal development. He spent last year at BWT Hyundai finding his spot in a very competitive continental team that is expected to move into the PCT division. He is a pure climber that should be a supporting rider now, but could grow up to a role that was/is held by Gilanipoor, Bouchard, Roman.

Another stagiare originally, Veljko spent last year riding at the highest level in the ProTour with Los Pollos Hermanos. A versatile domestique, he projects to be a solid time-trialist. A good comparison for him would be what Izidor Penko is now and that's a very useful rider to have.
This wraps up our three part series on rider development. We maxed out 3 riders this season, not our highest number, but one being Tadej Pogacar certainly makes up for that. In total there are 10 riders that have achieved level ups, 5 of them are from the Balkan region. We mentioned already last year that our talent development is bound to take a hit at some point. Spending next year in PT also limits some of our options. Still we remain committed to our regional development program.
