Voted for flat cobbles but it really depends on the route. I'd for example prefer a cool cobbled WC in Rwanda/Gabon or Slovenia no matter whether hilly or flat over a generic one in a classic spot.

As I said in the other thread, small hills only please. The last cobbled WC was more than enough climbing for a while.
I really liked the recent Brugge - De Panne or 2010s Gent - Wevelgem, where there were crosswinds to spice things up and less climbs towards the end.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Just a reminder, if you do have any specific PCM routes in mind, please feel free to post them here. Availability of zcts file for the routes are preferred as some edits might be required.

I said it in the other thread - but i'd love to see the Worlds come to the Netherlands. For us to have not had a WC in such a prime cycling nation is frankly blasphemous. We've been to Italy, France & Belgium, make the Netherlands next! (Spain needs a WC but not for cobbles).
Possible routes i found very quickly in the Stage DB

Not casting a vote but please count this as whatever option a New Zealand route needs to get into the next poll? Just feels too fitting with Bewley in his last proper competitive year...
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Would absolutely love it but this is about as cobbled a street you'd find in NZ, and even then they are very rare:
As someone who has nearly died on a mountain bike getting caught in these tram tracks next to a truck, I don't think this one is suitable for road cycling anyway
Spoiler No opposition to making one of our gravel roads cobbled for fantasy purposes, since that's about 40% of our roads |

There was a cobbled route made for PCM in New Zealand a while back, I think it was in Faringdon - don't know if that means anything to a local. Afraid the zcts isn't available though and it was a 2015 or earlier race.
Edit - Just checked and The Faringdon New Zealand cobbled race was in Tsmoha's NRS db so maybe he has the zcts.
Selwink made the Dutch race Slag om Norg. Nice Dutch cobbles - the race is red cobbles rated. I assume they aren't really that hard but that isn't a big deal. Have the zcts so could be made longer.

This is the kind of cobbles Coquard can understand. Let's indeed go with that.
For Bewley ofcourse.

Sorry for missing out on part one of the vote (moving away didn't help).
Not sure about the actual race but the hilly vs flat dispute is pretty tight atm.

In one of the closest decisions for the WC route type, the results are in:
Hilly Cobbles | 45% | [15 Votes] | Flat Cobbles | 55% | [18 Votes] |
The 2022 World Championships will be held in the following profile type: Flat Cobbles. Stay tuned for the final profile vote.
Thank you to everyone who voted.
