Tbh I don't really remember the last couple of races (long time ago), but the rankings say we were bad. So I guess that must be the truth. Disappointing season overall, although that's mainly due to some leaders not performing up to expectations (Chamorro in general, Gomez crashing out twice). Let's see what we can do in our first ever GT then.

Doesn't look like we'll get relegated. That's again the only silver lining for us from yet another season! Doesn't matter who we have in the team, we're stuck in lower-mid table for good.
Thanks for the rankings update

Thanks for the ranking update Bikex.
Renault slipping after the high of our Giro win is to be expected.
Very pleased with the 8th place for our very young U23 team, we will be stronger next year.
P.S. Good luck in Paris Shonak

hope this will be enough to be safe at the end of the season. Vuelta is the only GT where we will fight for a GC spot (top10 would be great)

Disappointing Vuelta start, but nothing too unexpected. Gonzalez already with three Top 10 results, that's definitely not bad - although he could have done even better with better positioning. But he's doing well given his skillset, no complaints.
On the other hand, Gomez being completely anonymous - not even in the Top 30 in stage 3 - is disappointing. But I always thought that we'll likely have to go for breakaways against the WT competition, and we'll have to wait for that for the 3rd week probably.
Most disapopinting though is that we had no single breakaway attempt so far. OK, Godoy joined that late attack on stage 4, but I'd have preferred having someone go for KoM points. Plenty of time left for that, but still, those first 6 days weren't great in that respect.
Thanks for the videos, hoping I'll have something to enjoy more in the next ones

Decent start from Contador. Nice to see Gratzer making himself visible on the first stage.
Thanks for the reports dominox

Thanks for the fine video coverage!
Good start for Majka, pretty big time gaps on stage 3. Decent enough sprints from Wagner, though I guess there isn't much competition.

Rather strong by Ewan, wow! A shame that Polanc really suffered though

I guess it was one of my worst ideas since playing this game to sign up for the Vuelta. Gomez is just pathetic, despite having good support (in theory). Breakaways weren't too successful so far anyway, but if we join them, we should at least send the right guys. Godoy was fine, but they never had a chance on S10, but Gonçalves was not a good idea.
On S11, Gonzalez apparently just was too tired to join the sprint, so we really get not much out of this race. I guess we won't do any more GTs as long as we don't have to; spending 21 RDs and getting almost nothing in return isn't too much fun. But well, at least we've got nothing to lose here, as we've abandoned the promotion race a long time ago already...
Congrats to Aru on some dominant mountain stages! Will be an interesting battle to follow between him and Herrada - and maybe Boswell as well.

Is Polanc injured? Or why does Boswell beat him easily?

Boswell is really over performing so far. Let's see if he can keep up. The battle for the win between Herrada and Aru is also heating up, will be exciting.
As for Italo, Konrad seems to be getting stronger. I hope that trend continues.
Thanks for the results, dominox! |

Weak Stage 9 from Contador means he has probably already dropped out of podium contention. Got some time back on Stage 10. Hope he can get back into the Top 5 again.
Thanks for the reports

Oh dear, Majka 30th on the queen stage. Looks like the Vuelta will be even more disappointing than the Giro and Tour. dominox's PC just doesn't like my team

Engeldinger 2nd in the queen stage is super good!!! unfortunately he is just 13th in GC...
anyway Ruben Fernandez is doing a great job carrying KOM jersey for so long, let's hope he can keep that pace and avoid an Aru comeback

Godoy
Great to get our first ever GT stage win
Unfortunately, that's about all positive things to say. It's good to see us in the breakaway almost every day - but why Brus??? Given that Gomez cares 0.0% about the GC, he or Godoy should definitely go in the break, and actually have a chance of surviving or at least of getting KoM points. I mean, Brus isn't doing a bad job, but he's just not the rider I'd pick for breakaways...
Well, 5 more stages, let's see if Gomez can at least do one useful thing in those 21 days. Looks like he's just 1 Mo point too weak, as there are several 78 climbers who regularly do rather well...
Oh, and Cigar City... Rather disappointing, especially from Zabel, but at least it's 3 in the points...

Not sure what the hell is wrong with Polanc, but that might be the biggest disappointment of the season great coverage though!
