I'm surprised that I got Laporte at #9, but I suppose Van Baarle's arrival could torpedo him. Still, I hope he'll score consistently well. Mohoric, no idea what to expect from him. High ceiling I think, but not sure about the floor. Degenkolb is well over his peak, but I hope he has one or two more good rides in him. Ackermann likely would have been the more solid choice, but I like rooting for Dege.

+1, but you took that decision for me
I'm definitely happy with De Lie, even more after the strong start of the season he had. We have barely started February, and he already has three wins to his name, plus the green jersey in Bessèges. Where he beat guys like Pedersen (last year's 1st-rounder for me), Cosnefroy or Teuns on an 8% slope. One thing I was lacking last year was a rider who could potentially win races, and not only finish in the lower Top 10, and I believe that De Lie is a good pick for that. Not one for the really big points (monuments), but I'm hoping for a lot of participations in lower-tier races instead.
Ewan in R2 isn't my preferred pick, I'd have loved to see Démare slip through. But at least I should cover all flat races with a Lotto sprinter, with my R1/R2 duo of De Lie and Ewan
Schmid in R3 was only my third choice, and I admit that I didn't expect to see both Küng and Hirschi go in the first two rounds. But I can definitely live with Mauro, who had some nice results last year, and started his season with P5 in TDU. I don't know how many classics he'll indeed participate in, but I doubt there was a potentially higher scoring Swiss available at this point anyway.
I agree that Bikex' team looks scary; choice of nationality definitely was smart, and I didn't expect van Baarle to be picked as #6 only in R2. The Hussars and the UUs look nice, too.

Disadvantage of being the middle of the order, you don't really get the riders you desperately want

Was hoping Agreen would stick around so I could get in R3. If it was for that pesky 2018 Team Time Trial medal he would have been mine by default.
Not sure about Vingagaard, can see him being a total no show in the spring classics.

Half my list for Round 2 came from that TTT WC
Fairly happy with my picks. Missed out on the guys I really wanted, but that's the natural of my slot I guess. Hopefully Matthews stays fierce and Asgreen stays healthy for the classics. Powless was the obvious R3 option since he's winning the Ardennes Triple this year.

Same I definitely preferred last year, where I had first pick every two rounds
Evenepoel is a superb rider to have though for my team... if he changes his racing schedule. Jakobsen is as good as I could get with my seventh pick, and I'm happy with him. Hofstetter has done well in this game last season, and I hope he can remain on the same level now. I would kindly ask everybody to stay away from French riders from now on

I am happy that my choice of nationality already paid off. Pogacar is probably the best rider someone can get without being able to pick first in a draft round. I almost had a second Slovenian falling to me with Mohoric but he was picked up just before. Getting Van Baarle instead is great as well. I would've expected him to be picked up earlier. In the first round the obvious choices were already gone when it was my time to pick, but I think Cosnefroy can prove to be a good choice. |

Draft Rounds 4-6
Unfortunately LLDS missed the deadline and did not have any valid names left from previous rounds. You can still pick your 3 riders between this and the start of the next round though, just let me know who you want. Everyone else should make note of 3 extra riders being added when calculating the number of names they need to send in.
Round 4 saw a lot of love for the same names, but th order kept changing so I think a lot of people will actually be happy here. The same goes for round 5, where I also met the first guy I did not really know. In round 6 Belgium was really popular and especially Tiesj Bonoot.

So for the next round I need:
R7: A rider from a PCT team
R8: A rider who was in a PCT team last year
R9: A rider from your home nation or a country bordering it (pick only one country)
R10: Free pick
Send in your 4 rounds by monday 12:00 normal Europe time please!
After that, I will ask the following:
Spoiler R11: A rider from your home nation
R12: A rider from the country with most riders after R10 (your pick in case of a tie)
R13: Free pick

Some more risky picks for me. I have no idea what Lutsenko or Schachmann are still capable of. Sheffield I just had to pick up, rally loved what he did last year.
The Hussars probably won this round for me, although the Nosepickers are also looking good.

In the R9 the OR didn't mean AND right? (So in my case no france and one other, just only one country) |

Nope, you have to choose 1. I like the risk it adds to your choice.

Some risky moves for me, but the rounds dictated it. Trentin could continue to plug results away, or he could fall off a cliff immediaitely given his age. I couldn't help taking Skjelmose with my MG affinity for him and a pick later in the round, but who knows if he'll race many classics. He's done some early season ones and done well, but he may not even do the Ardennes, so could be wasted entirely. Same with Woods. Since I figured he would be available, I just went with Canada, but it's unclear if his spring classics schedule will be very busy.
I think I'm fairly hills heavy at the moment, so I'll need to pivot to cobbles in upcoming rounds I guess.

Very happy with Teuns, I hope he'll be a consistent contributor. Would have loved to grab Benoot in R6 as well, but I had a feeling he'd be scooped up quickly. If Van Gestel can replicate or even improve on last year's results, he should be a very good second choice though. With Milan, it's tough to know what to expect, but that was always gonna be the case for the youngsters, with a few exceptions. Tough to see Vernon go one place ahead of me, but Milan has potential I think, though race schedule obviously dictates a lot there.
It's a really fun process so far, that's for sure! It really gets you to engage with the races and riders more intensely.
And just to be sure, the rider who was on a PCT team last year can still be on a PCT team now, correct? He just doesn't have to?
