Spoke too soon?
Got excited at the end there, Page did everything perfectly. Perfect positioning and waited to the right moment but just couldn’t hang on. Lander need to be tested after that finish, he was ridiculous so it’s a shame he was so poorly positioned going into the sprint because he was definitely the strongest. Congrats on the win Marco
Thanks for the reports seancoll! Awesome to have you in the reporting ranks

Interesting move by McCarthy.. not sure If that's smart, but the TT will be one hell of a day for him anyway, so maybe he wanted to enjoy the day now. Wohler just like Culey a nice breakaway rider, imo. He gave it all. Nice effort!

Just trying to motivate the team
Kalaba from miles behind with a very powerful sprint, honestly did not see this coming at 1k to go. How poetic to win in Norway the day Subwoolfer (officially) revealed their identity.
Thanks for the reports so far seancoll. Well done!

Normally I am not one to get fucked off by AI but what the fuck is going on here?
Top 2 favourites and by far best sprinters in the bunch just decide to not sprint two stages in a row? Both me and LLS essentially just wasted 5 RDs on two of our most essential points scorers.
Zara even brought the full train with Hofstetter and Thomas which should be more than enough to bring Jakobsen to the front for the sprint. For us you could make the case that we didn't bring a train but Meurisse has literally been used as a leadout when he shouldn't have in other races, which just leaves me fucking puzzled to say the least.
Again, it's not your fault Sean your reporting is impeccable but holy shit watching these two sprints have been a fucking nightmare and I just can't find the logic behind the AI decisions here.
Oh well Meurisse stage win or we're royally screwed here.

Loving to see Kalaba win, he's doing well for the Minions which is amazing.

WJ has said it all already. Jakobsen 100th in a stage he should be competing for a win. What the fuck.
If this is the “4th best sprinter bug” or something then this is completely fucked.
Thank you for another great report though Sean and congrats to the winners so far!

The weird thing is that it's happening to both Jakobsen AND Kennaugh, so I don't believe that's the case. Can't think of anything else though. My sympathies to both of you.
Two nothing stages for us. Would have liked to have a man in the breakaway at least once and Menicucci at least tried, even if he didn't make it. Now Uwi needs to perform in the TT.
Thanks for the nice reports, sean. One small advice: If you press one of the keys to the left of Enter, it hides the circles under the riders.

Mixed bag for us today. Lander almost had a phenomenal comeback win, and 2nd place is awesome. Lander and AKA both like that kind of comeback win in this engine, using their flat and resistance to outlast others ahead of them. Lander was just a hair too early this time, but that 2nd place easily justifies sending him here over AKA. We got what we wanted out of the sprints here.
On the other hand, it sucks to see Eg lose time. We sent a lot of strong riders here, so one of them getting left behind and ignored was not that surprising, but it would have been nice if he could have contended for a top 20 or so. Puts a bit more pressure on Kamna - at least he seems to be protected.
Thanks for another fantastic report! And congrats to Minions. Also, commisserations to HelloFresh and Zara. The PCM sprint engine can be weird, but both guys being completely uninterested and Jakobsen not even making the first group is bizarre to say the least.

Think it is two different issues, pretty sure Jakobsen is the 4th best sprinter issue. The top three are the three that work, and looking at stats Jakobsen would make sense to be number 4 (Rheinhardt's acceleration pulls him up).
Kennaugh is a top 3 sprinter or his team wouldn't work. I think it is a lead out problem, the game will always try to give the top 3 sprinters a leadout. But Meurisse is a 71, and might be protected as GC leader, and next highest is a a 69 and not great flat, the fact they suddenly stopped chasing says to me they got pulled out of position and Kennaugh waits for a leadout that never gets there.
Just a theory, I could be wrong. Sprint AI is definitely weird and any race with 15 sprinters between 79 and 81 SP is going to generate some bad outcomes for someone.
PCM22 fixes the 4th favorite issue but not sure about the rest of the sprint AI.

I'm just speachless, sad and angri of how my team is playing around instead of racing and it stared to repeat this in last few races or months.
I just hope that this unluck quickly turns back to luck before the start of next stage of this race.
Thanks seancoll for preview and reports.

Had the first three stages photo'd before I knew this, but should be fixed upcoming!

Oh man, this is so frustrating
Penko would be in absolute prime position heading into the two hilly stages after that TT, but of course only our best 'GC rider' has to miss the split on a flat stage
Great TT by Christodoulos, but I'm honestly scared with the way things have shaped up. He is 3rd in GC and I'm afraid the whole team might back him now and I have zero confidence he can survive the hills. If Penko wouldn't have lost time, he would've been 6th and I have way more belief in him.
Borisavljevic and Pogacar both did a solid TT, but I have major concerns on how they'll ride the next stage
Great job with the reports Sean

Looks like an okay-ish TT from Uwi. 25th in the GC with lots of poor climbers ahead of him. Now hopefully he can do well tomorrow on the crucial stage.

Not the greatest TT by Dennis but at least he gained some time. Let's see how he holds on tomorrow

Durbridge did, what he came for! Nice, pretty solid TT win
Given the expected losses for McCarthy and his breakaway appearance yesterday, I guess it ain't completely unrealistic for him to ride an aggressive "queen stage". Maybe he will try and fight for the KoM? Don't really believe a 82 HI guy will go for the early breakaway in a hill stage, but maybe an attacking race in the last quarter of the day?
Anyway, our team pretty much did, what I was hoping for (so far). Going for breakaways, taking the TT stage.. and now it's again just about showing our colors and going for "non GC related" success.

Ugh not what we need. The other three big TT boys did well, so obvs Eddie had to be the one to shit it in. Not terrible, but a good result would be nice once every few months.
Thanks for the report

Good results from our team in the first 3 stages. Although I hoped that Kung would do better in TT. I don't expect much from the hilly stages tbh.
Thanks seancoll for the reports!

Kamna, you gotta be kidding me.
Absolutely pathetic. All our GC guys are out of it now. No idea where we go from here. 30th? Really?
I guess I greatly overestimated Kamna this offseason because he has greatly underperformed in every single time trial this season. He's the downfall of our season. Wish I took one of the many offers for him.
