As someone who's a Remco hater simply because he's younger than me and I don't like that, it was good to see that he's beatable. Roglic isn't really the guy I wanted to capitalize on it though. Was really hoping for something from Mas there. He's looked good the whole way, but just imploded at the end there.

Should be an interesting stage today. With Remco on the ropes and everyone else in need of time, things need to happen!

Ah yes we don't want boring Roglic to win. We need an entertaining rider like Mas

When Mas attacks (which is once in every full moon) he immediately goes backwards, I can’t believe he was once heralded as Contador’s successor the most boring and uninteresting rider inside the top-5. |

Glad that my anti-roglic comments still trigger you even after your team finally won the Tour lol

Evenepoel holding his game still.
Gotta love UAE with their Movistar tactics: Soler racing his race, with Ayuso and Almeida riding on their own!
O'Connor really well today too!

O'Connor must have been targeting today. Riding way above his form so far and Ag2r were on the front a lot.

Almeida dropped by 40 seconds when they first hit the climb and yet is almost back. Never seen a guy with 50 acceleration and 85 resistance before in real life.

Ahah indeed. Although tbh he is known to have a very decent final kick. My guess is he just doens't cope well with the sudden burst of acceleration at the begining of long climbs.
Arensman up front now. Mas trying to gain as mucj as possible. Evenepoel holding his jersey. UAE all over the place

Evenepoel is vulnerable, but Mas and Roglic are alternating good days at a time when either one needs big time.
At this point they gave up too much earlier to chip away. Either Remco completely bonks in the final week - which is a real possibility - or he wins the Vuelta.

Criticism works, great that Mas tried. At least better than Roglic, I don’t understand if he just wasn’t as good as yesterday or if these were some silly tactics from him. I hope it was the first case.
I also wish Arensman doesn’t end up as another domestique for the Ineos train, too good to be confined to that role. |

Didnt watch the stage (went swimming) but good to see Mas in 2nd, Movistar could use a big GT win after this rather dreadful year. Everything nicely put together for a nice third week finale.

Only remember Totschnig in the Armstrong days who was riding like that too.

The funny thing is that he does pretty great with the punch. But I think Marc Soler is an even clearer rider type like him. Both probably play too much PCM like Gaudu in the TDF
