Shaq - waste of a roster spot.
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 74 | 62 | 60 | 76 | 71 | 71 | 71 | 65 | 63 | 63 | 65 | 65 | 78 | 72 | 65 | 61 | 76 | 71 | 75 | 72 | 65 | 60 | 61 | 67 | 65 | 78 |
Like Juneau also a TT prospect but slightly stronger and has the additional prologue factor..

Good pick for Tafjord, Lehtinen was one of the best "hybrids" left. Nice regional fit, too.
He went a couple of minutes before deadline iirc
So I'll have to settle with an average estonian allrounder.
But you know the saying; the worse the rider is, the more race days you get
Interestingly, you wouldn't have got Pruus as a 2nd pick - another team would have claimed him before you!

Juraj Bellan gets a ride OOOO A victim of our last relegation, there's some potential there for an interesting dom for sure.

Imagine making your way up to Level 3 and 93 xp, then getting dropped. Doomed to never hit your full potential, or even that sweet Level 3 to 4 increase? Well perhaps now Juraj Bellan can edge closer to that.
Then imagine riding for a team with a love for the Caribbean, winning the inaugural Caribbean Championships, then not getting a contract! At least Jyme Bridges doesn't have to worry about that anymore.
Finally, I remember adding Noah Cohen into the game at a time when there was an Israeli continental team. They came and went; as did another team later with Israeli part sponsorship. Along the way Cohen has had 6 PCT seasons and 1 PT season, and now his final season at max stats will be in CT!

Absolutely, was really tempting for me to potentially pick him up the last day.

Great pickup and can easily be leveled up to lvl 4 in CT too. I'm sure he will get maxed at some point now that he reaches lvl4.

Bridges is back! He's NC as well, but after decline i couldn't justify renewing him. Together win Shaq we top off with Caribbeans. Won't score much if at all, but NC jersey and hyper makertable Sinclair is fine for me.

Our new New Zealand team failed to show up to the draft, which took out the chance of a fight over the best remaining Kiwi rider. He banks New Zealand, he does not fly New Zealand, he's Nick Miller.
Welle Jallays. Jelle Wallays. Welle Jallays. Jelle Wallays. Welle Jallays. Jelle Wallays. One become a puncheur, the other a time triallist. And it is those TT skills that have proved most valuable for an extended cycling career. Which one was it again?

Nick Miller has the name to be in a comics series.
And now I hope McCormick didn't pick the wrong rider (as I probably would have done) |

Why was Cohen so high up on my list? Don't know anymore... Maybe because he only gets dropped on the second speed bump, unlike e.g. Szalontay? Well, we'll see how and where we can use him - at least we now have (theoretically) every single stage of the year covered with a sprinter ^^
But clearly regretting not having put e.g. Eislers on top of the list. Well, hopefully this was my last CT draft for quite a while
Concerning the other picks, Bellan indeed looks like a nice versatile dom for the future. Bridges is Caribbean, and so an obvious fit for TMM.
Miller is pretty versatile as well, but I'm not sure if he really was the best option left. Jallays wasn't among the very strongest pure TTers left (that 60Mo stat pretty much makes that 70Hi useless), so probably a one-year-wonder as well.

At his peak, Dan Martin beat many of the world's best. In 2014 and 2015 he took out victories at both Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico. Many a GT winner was defeated in those two races.
If it's inevitable that Glanbia will sign an Irish rider in the draft, then it might as well be Martin! Last year's tally of 244 points is not going to be matched, but it's one more season for the man who has been in the MG since 2009.
Felix Emilio Besada meanwhile does not really look to have a notable result on record, despite his 77 hill stat. He is only 10k cheaper than his team's most expensive signing of the season, so that's something.
Martijn Tusveld rode in the CT in 2016 for TVM - Beslist.nl, scoring 37 points. But that's it. And now a return to action after 6 years!

If we're being pedantic, BWT Hyundai misses out on a free rider due to a title error

Dan the Man - because, why not? Don't know how useful he'll still be with those energy stats, but at least he's still a good fit for Glanbia.
Since having Pellaud in my first year, I'm not a fan of one-dimensional puncheurs, so don't really know what to think of Besada. At least he's got a great Acc, but with just 63Mo is at risk of getting dropped quickly in tougher mountain races. And his sprint is even worse than Moscon's
Tusveld looks like a logical option for BWT, who seem to be strengthening their TTT in this draft. And he's not too shabby uphill, so I'd call it a good fit for them.

Eislers didn't do a ton for me as my free rider in 2020, but he still has a good skillset. Maybe he'll be luckier this time around

On one hand, I like the Eislers pickup. On the other hand, both Lienhard and Thiery didn't do much last year, while both also having a decent hills/sprint combo. Eislers is the better sprinter though, so that might be a decent pick.
Navardauskas will obviously be hyped by someone, but I don't really like his horrible climbing stat. Could still be an OK TTT "asset" for Bianchi, if they actually have such a setup (didn't follow their signings closely enough tbh).

I think Eislers is not good enough to ever be a scoring sprinter himself. But he has a great leadout skill set imo and Tafjord bought Syver Waersted. Think thats a combo that could work nicely so i love the pick.

The younger and less-distinguished of the Eislers may never have ridden for Evonik, I believe, but Ramunas Navardauskas has. The Lithuanian will always be a Festina rider in my eyes, but it's been some time since that was the case. He first visited CT in 2016, finishing 25th in the Individual Standings. He does not time trial so fast these days.
Eliot Lietaer hadn't had an opportunity in a lower division since scoring 98 points in CT in 2017, until last year he was picked up by Crabbe CC. Thanks to an absurd number of sprints in Stage 2 of the Vancouver, a breakaway ride saw him take the Points and KoM lead - he would go on to fight further for the KoM jersey later in the race, and win it! Those were most of his points last season.
Vainionpää we've not seen since 2019, and the days of the legen-dairy Valio team.

Happy to get Nick Miller! Excited to see how he can bolster the mountain squad! Unfortunately I was asleep during the draft so I was unable to be apart of the action for round 1. Maybe round 2. We will see
