Technical difficulties as the draft list I was provided turned out to include two contracted riders for the next three teams.
Here's their stats anyway, as we see SotD's ratio of Greek-owned riders lowered slightly!

Good pick for Tafjord, Lehtinen was one of the best "hybrids" left. Nice regional fit, too.
He went a couple of minutes before deadline iirc
So I'll have to settle with an average estonian allrounder.
But you know the saying; the worse the rider is, the more race days you get

Think it was five minutes. Had a hard time deciding between multiple options and thought i might as well wait till the end with that bid.

I also have guys like Thiery, Itami or even Bolor-Erdene still in my list, as I wanted to be sure to submit early enough ^^ Even some silent auction replacements iirc, so sorry for the inconvenience SN

Sorry!
Besides that none of the ones on my list got taken so far, but i chekced them already. The list is now mostly fine!

Kris Boeckmans
How close do you have to be to miss out on the season? Well when the draft began, administrators were not expecting to award Kris Boeckmans a contract!
A late plea from Staffbase management to ingore their top two draft picks (based off imaginary stats!) is answered, and Boeckmans is back.
He's never ridden in CT, but finished as high as 19th in the PCT Individual Standings in 2019. He's not as fast as he used to be - such as this PT win at the Tour of Northern Europe in 2017.
| | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | XP | Age | OVL | BEL | K. Boeckmans | 69 | 57 | 64 | 56 | 68 | 65 | 72 | 70 | 77 | 77 | Max | 35 | 73.1 |

(Tbf, that was in my head too)
Thanks for the nice thread, very entertaining (and informative for next year, if by miracle I remember any of it )
(Don't know whether Puccioni will be useful or not, but I decided there was already enough different languages in the team, and in the end, didn't have te patience to really order well all of my choices ^^' |

I honestly didn't think I'd get another (more or less useful) sprinter from the draft, that's why I did the late move with loaning out Szarka and signing Stepniak (having lost out on former rider Cisse). But with how the draft went so far, I'm afraid two of them will have to share RDs ^^
Moschetti could be a decent pick, looks like a nice leadout rider for Pas Normal.
And Glanbia signing a TT talent is no surprise at all - it's rather surprising that he's not Irish

Juneau gets a ride let's go! Really did want to find space for him in the squad but could just not find the space sadly.

Rodriguez Galindo looks like a good pickup for McCormick as well. Boswell getting some more help on the hills should be good for them

Not sure about Boeckmans, but could be a solid pick.
Moschetti a big question mark for me, dont see an argument for why him exactly. Ignoring him would have been a no-brainer decision for me.
With Juneau, we finally see the first talent picked. But i think it's a terrible pick because his max stats look terrible compared to some maxed riders around:
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 71 | 65 | 67 | 75 | 69 | 75 | 71 | 62 | 67 | 66 | 73 | 67 | 74 | 69 | 68 | 67 | 75 | 69 | 75 | 71 | 62 | 67 | 67 | 72 | 67 | 74 | 66 | 69 | 73 | 68 | 68 | 71 | 70 | 62 | 67 | 71 | 74 | 68 | 67 |
(by my count, could have missed some options. Certainly bigger talents left in the draft pool)
Galindo looks like a good pickup.

Latest Picks
2016 was a very different world for CT teams, but in it, Michael Rodriguez Galindo finished Top 30 in the individual standings!
Meanwhile Maral-Erdene Batmunkh has a history of not being picked, but rescued at the end. When Amateur teams were first launched a few season ago, he was subject to the largest bidding war!

Batmunkh should be a nice dom or attacker on cobbles - so definitely no option for me And now, laugh at my pick

End of Round 1
No, that's not a draft pick by Eddie Stobart. It's a draft pick by the Jura GIANTS!
Erick Rowsell first rode in the MG in 2012. Despite being on a team for 7 seasons he hasn't had the most remarkable career - indeed scoring less than 10 ranking points for 4 of those seasons.
Some hope? His best season was his most recent, 47 points for Carrefour - ESPN in 2020.
The other two picks are fantastic news for country coverage in the MG - and for guaranteed National Champions jerseys. Jamaica and Nigeria have riders in teams!
| | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | XP | Age | OVL | GBR | E. Rowsell | 68 | 74 | 69 | 73 | 71 | 74 | 70 | 57 | 61 | 67 | Max | 32 | 72.7 | JAM | S. Sinclair | 70 | 57 | 61 | 67 | 69 | 70 | 74 | 55 | 76 | 75 | Max | 29 | 71.9 | NGR | F. Abolaji | 69 | 62 | 60 | 69 | 66 | 68 | 67 | 65 | 60 | 60 | 1.00 | 24 | 66.8 |

Adriamihajanarivo is the first big Who? moment for me. Quite similar to Piaskowy actually so no terrible pick but i probably would have looked at other options like Tvetcov or Rowsell for that role first.
Definitely didn't expect him to slip through, but I'll take him One more guy for mountains and TTT (replacing a 67 TTer in my non-stage-race setup), I'm happy to get him.

Strong pick by Jura there. Roswell looks like one of the best riders left and fits great into their squad with a fairly strong TTT team. One of my favourite draft picks so far.
