Quite some surprising releases, indeed. Guess some were released simply due to their age, but others like Naesen, Krieger or Liepins and Ariesen are pretty unexpected. Maybe you've just got a feeling they won't be good enough in PCT?
In any case, it will be really interesting what kind of strategy you'll adopt during transfers - will we again see Crabpack rocking cobbles, or will the team's identity change completely? Time will tell

Wrap it up PCT, nobody else is getting FAs this year
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

I wonder if some of those released riders could have been kept.
Nonetheless the sky is the limit for this team and I look forward to see you 'dominating' free agency

Lots and lots of releases. This makes your team quite intriguing to watch during transfers. I'm quite curious whether that was planned or if you struggled with the renewals process?
A bit of both I wasn't sure that I could offload some guys with their new wages.
In hindsight that could have been the case.
Another lesson learned. Time to get on the FA market!

I understand most of the releases, tbh. Even Krieger and Liepins. Naesen is a tricky case. It was painful to see him do so poorly (relative to expectations) for you last year. I think he could have given you some value in a leadership role now, without Tsatevich and Declerq around, but I understand how your confidence might not have been high.
Still, with a few smart decisions and a bit of luck, I'm sure you can assemble a PCT worthy roster. Only one of my nine (!) top scorers from last season was on my CT team the year before, and without looking it up I would assume something similar for Los Pollos Hermanos, so a rebuild from very little into PCT success is definetely possible. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Crabbe-CC Chevigny
** First signings
We brought back three riders from last year in free agency.
Latvian Emils Liepins will be part of our sprint squad, which will be presented later. Liepins won a stage in Volta a Catalunya last season.

Alexey Tsatevich was our top scorer, finished 7th after winning Gisborne GP and Lincoln GP. The Russian will get a free role in the cobble races, as we didn't manage to get a real leader for these races.

Agree. Liepins was the rare case where one of your overbids didnt cause a lot of frustration because i liked the fit with you. Both him and Tsatevich return on nice wages so situation well played by you.

** Our sprint additions
Ingus Eislers was our first transfer of the season. The Latvian was bought from Evonik - ELKO for a fee of 750,000. He finished 56th in the PT rankings last year. Despite a stat decrease we hope he can lead our sprint squad. Ingus will be supported by countryman Emils Liepins.
Ingus Eislers

We also picked up Theo Reinhardt in free agency. We hope he can deliver the same results as Alex Krieger last year, only at a higher level. Reinhardt finished 92th in the PCT rankings in 2021.
Theo Reinhardt
Sprint | Aged 32 | Potential 3 | 76.94 | € 70,000 | Team 2021: Jura - Fiat

Mustafa Carsi is the latest addition to our sprint squad. The fast man from Turkey will struggle with speedbumps, but any points from him will help in the PCT race to survival.

Reinhardt at 70k in this free agency is a ridiculous steal. Carsi should be a good pickup as well. Not sure about 750k for a sprinter with 76 acceleration, but his other stats are good enough that it might be worth it. Curious to see what the rest of the squad looks like.

Hopefully none of those rides alongside each other, but all for themselves are great wage/reward riders probably. Not sure if Eislers is a good fit for your squad, but he could be glorious if the game is generous to him and he works well.

Not a big fan of buying declining sprinters from Evonik (I am sure at least one manager has an horror story about that). Gotta light a few candles and say a prayer and hope that it works out

I'm thinking siilar. Eislers is a bit of a high risk, high reward signing but AKA has shown that it can work superb. Think every single one of your sprinters is worth what you paid but i'm not sure if they all fit together well. e.g. i wouldnt think that Liepins is a good leadout for him as the acceleration missmatch could be an issue. Had i kept him i probably would have tried to sign someone like Sandis Eislers with 75ACC as a leadout rider for him. Think i would rather throw Liepins into races with Reinhardt instead when there are not enough races for all of them seperately.
Spoiler But i still havent figured out sprints in this game either so maybe best to completely ignore me
