The new kids on the block
With Lampre coming in we comitted ourselves to taking on Italian talents and move their development along. We're happy to announce that we landed our three top priorities. Let's present them:
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | Wage | | Filippo Baroncini | 70 | 63 | 69 | 68 | 69 | 72 | 68 | 63 | 66 | 70 | 71 | 69 | 66 | 69,87 | 22 | - | | Filippo Baroncini | 73 | 66 | 77 | 69 | 76 | 76 | 71 | 63 | 67 | 75 | 76 | 70 | 67 | 0 | 22 | - | | Filippo Baroncini | 77 | 64 | 72 | 75 | 74 | 79 | 73 | 63 | 66 | 70 | 76 | 69 | 73 | 0 | 22 | - |
Baroncini has a bright future as a puncheur waiting for him but could also choose to take his talents towards the TT bike no matter what we're happy to have him on 50k for his first season with the team.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | Wage | | Jonathan Milan | 70 | 58 | 62 | 68 | 67 | 74 | 62 | 63 | 69 | 70 | 66 | 63 | 70 | 67,5 | 22 | - | | Jonathan Milan | 77 | 58 | 63 | 77 | 72 | 80 | 69 | 63 | 74 | 73 | 66 | 64 | 79 | 67,5 | 22 | - | | Jonathan Milan | 77 | 58 | 63 | 75 | 72 | 80 | 75 | 63 | 75 | 74 | 66 | 64 | 79 | 67,5 | 22 | - |
Regardless of the way Milan wants to move it's clear that he belongs on the track. He joins us for 50k and is an absolute beast at that value he is either going to be a valuable TTT piece or leadout man in the future.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | Wage | | Samuele Battistella | 70 | 70 | 70 | 65 | 69 | 74 | 68 | 63 | 67 | 67 | 69 | 66 | 71 | 70,94 | 24 | - | | Samuele Battistella | 71 | 75 | 75 | 66 | 71 | 77 | 72 | 63 | 67 | 71 | 74 | 68 | 72 | 70,94 | 24 | - |
SB is a bit older than the others and is already at level 3 which means he is a bit further in his development than his counterparts. Despite this I still envision him as a key part of this team going forward. In two years he'll be able to fill the void the likes of De Vos and Gaspar as the hybrid able to pull out a wonder or two.

Milan is the standout rider here. I had him on my list also

Team starts to take shape, here's the points scorers:
Securing survival is never easy but we have made some deals that hopefully will allow us to take a step in the right direction.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | Wage | | Xandro Meurisse | 73 | 74 | 77 | 67 | 74 | 74 | 74 | 68 | 71 | 78 | 72 | 68 | 68 | 77,14 | 30 | 210.000 | | Luke Rowe | 78 | 55 | 66 | 65 | 76 | 70 | 79 | 75 | 79 | 80 | 75 | 71 | 74 | 77,51 | 32 | 275.000 | | Peter Kennaugh | 76 | 57 | 64 | 62 | 73 | 70 | 78 | 57 | 81 | 80 | 69 | 62 | 62 | 77,73 | 33 | 400.000 | | Michael Vingerling | 71 | 55 | 62 | 65 | 72 | 66 | 76 | 68 | 79 | 79 | 57 | 68 | 76 | 75,12 | 32 | 50.000 |
In a double deal from the Lionhearts over at Xero we pick up to aging stars in Luke Rowe and Xandro Meurisse. Both have shown their pedigree in the PCT before and we believe that they can pull out a few fantastic results to help the scoring of the team.
From free agency we have picked up two aging sprinters. Peter Kennaugh is on his first decline but we still believe that the former PT star will be able to do the business for us this year at 400k in wage he is a bit on the higher side of what we wanted to pay but we wanted to get this deal over the line! Furthermore, one of the revelations of the team last season Michael Vingerling will spend his last season at his peak with us. We put aside our differences in renewals and managed to get Michael on a lower wage than he was on last season!

It is certainly looking it for now, but as we know sprinters are the world's greatest mystery so it can either be great or really bad!

Cobbles have always been near and dear to our hearts on the team and having been lead by GVK for all of our seasons in the game so far we have finally been able to land a PCT quality leader in the terrain! Welcome Maxime Daniel who is joining from Free Agency on a massive 450k contract, time will tell whether or not he will be worth his money but he will have all the support needed!
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | Wage | | Maxime Daniel | 73 | 56 | 69 | 56 | 76 | 76 | 74 | 80 | 76 | 72 | 69 | 74 | 64 | 76,66 | 31 | 450.000 |

With short time left of the transfer season our squad currently looks like this, while we're still awaiting confirmation of one last piece we're incredibly happy with what is the strongest squad built in WJSM history:
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | Wage | | Maxime Daniel | 73 | 56 | 69 | 56 | 76 | 76 | 74 | 80 | 76 | 72 | 69 | 74 | 64 | 76,66 | 31 | 450.000 | | Peter Kennaugh | 76 | 57 | 64 | 62 | 73 | 70 | 78 | 57 | 81 | 80 | 69 | 62 | 62 | 77,73 | 33 | 400.000 | | Luke Rowe | 78 | 55 | 66 | 65 | 76 | 70 | 79 | 75 | 79 | 80 | 75 | 71 | 74 | 77,51 | 32 | 275.000 | | Xandro Meurisse | 73 | 74 | 77 | 67 | 74 | 74 | 74 | 68 | 71 | 78 | 72 | 68 | 68 | 77,14 | 30 | 210.000 | | Kenny Elissonde | 66 | 78 | 73 | 63 | 76 | 77 | 79 | 66 | 55 | 66 | 61 | 72 | 63 | 75,81 | 31 | 160.000 | | Guillaume Van Keirsbulck | 72 | 65 | 71 | 51 | 75 | 73 | 63 | 78 | 70 | 68 | 71 | 58 | 51 | 75,31 | 31 | 130.000 | | Pavel Potocki | 68 | 77 | 72 | 70 | 74 | 71 | 75 | 54 | 62 | 64 | 66 | 69 | 70 | 74,49 | 29 | 82.000 | | Oscar Riesebeek | 74 | 70 | 73 | 67 | 73 | 75 | 69 | 73 | 69 | 72 | 76 | 71 | 71 | 74,15 | 30 | 75.000 | | Scott Thwaites | 73 | 59 | 65 | 61 | 74 | 70 | 76 | 76 | 78 | 76 | 60 | 70 | 61 | 74,27 | 32 | 69.000 | | Adam De Vos | 68 | 75 | 75 | 66 | 73 | 73 | 74 | 59 | 62 | 69 | 72 | 73 | 68 | 73,84 | 29 | 55.000 | | Joao Gaspar | 71 | 75 | 75 | 66 | 73 | 72 | 74 | 55 | 61 | 67 | 72 | 70 | 66 | 73,58 | 30 | 55.000 | | Amith Udaya Kumara | 74 | 62 | 67 | 54 | 74 | 70 | 65 | 75 | 71 | 67 | 73 | 68 | 54 | 73,42 | 27 | 55.000 | | Gilles Heymes | 67 | 75 | 71 | 73 | 74 | 71 | 71 | 53 | 54 | 58 | 63 | 61 | 73 | 73,09 | 29 | 50.000 | | Samuele Battistella | 70 | 70 | 70 | 65 | 69 | 74 | 68 | 63 | 67 | 67 | 69 | 66 | 71 | 70,94 | 24 | 50.000 | | Quinten Hermans | 73 | 66 | 75 | 61 | 75 | 77 | 67 | 62 | 69 | 76 | 73 | 76 | 64 | 74,96 | 27 | 50.000 | | Filippo Baroncini | 70 | 63 | 69 | 68 | 69 | 72 | 68 | 63 | 66 | 70 | 71 | 69 | 66 | 69,87 | 22 | 50.000 | | Jonathan Milan | 70 | 58 | 62 | 68 | 67 | 74 | 62 | 63 | 69 | 70 | 66 | 63 | 70 | 67,5 | 22 | 50.000 | | Michael Vingerling | 71 | 55 | 62 | 65 | 72 | 66 | 76 | 68 | 79 | 79 | 57 | 68 | 76 | 75,12 | 32 | 50.000 | | Sean Quinn | 69 | 69 | 69 | 65 | 68 | 72 | 68 | 60 | 66 | 68 | 63 | 63 | 68 | 70,05 | 22 | 50.000 | | Kevin Vermaerke | 69 | 64 | 68 | 65 | 70 | 70 | 63 | 62 | 65 | 67 | 63 | 64 | 63 | 68,55 | 22 | 35.000 |

The final piece of the puzzle:
Going into the final period of transfers we got an option that we could not refuse! The deal allowed us to send some money to our friends over at Evonik - Elko and in the process we secured one of the most notable flat beasts in world in Dzamastagic. Dzama is a rider who has shown his willingess for attacks in the final few moments of the flat classics and can also end up acting as a lead out for Kennaugh.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | Wage | | Mark Dzamastagic | 78 | 66 | 70 | 65 | 76 | 72 | 76 | 66 | 76 | 78 | 78 | 66 | 65 | 75,27 | 31 | 99.000 |
Also enjoy this picture from the WC RR where Rowe and Dzama tried to usurp the elite sprinters and animated the race.

Said it earlier in the Skype chat, but I think you made a very good move making this the year to go in hard on signing Daniel. PCT cobbles scene is looking a little weaker and very old right now. Daniel's no spring chicken at 31, but he's slated for a lot of top results and won't need to be replaced next year. And personally, I'm happy to see GVK will still be fighting for him in your colors.

Lampre should be very happy with the signing of those Italian talents as they are very nice. I personally like Milan a lot. As bbl said, good move on Daniel imo with the slightly weaker cobbles scene in PCT this season. Zepuntke is gone so the field is finally wide open. Putting a lot of faith in sprinters might seem scary, but I think it's worth it. A lot of sprints anyway, and you have some great sprinters. Meurisse and Elissonde can score very well with the correct planning I think, whereas Potocki might just win ToA if pcm keeps liking him like it did last season

Obviously don't have to tell you how much I am supporting Meurisse and Rowe for you this year, especially Rowe is a true legend of the team as our third top scorer ever who started our PCT journey with us in 2018 and took us to PT making some great memories along the way. Hope they can deliver for you as they did for us.
Dzama and Rowe is a dream partnership, I will no doubt be hounding you during planning encouraging you that Dzama is more good working with Rowe than Kennaugh

Over the moon with being able to keep GVK around, think there's a chance that he just stays with the team until he's not worth renewing anymore. The PCT cobbles field has definitely changed a bit with declines to the likes of Trentin etc. but there's Stellaert etc, but there should be options for a strong performance there.

Very happy with the selection of talents we were able to secure, especially since we didn't have to go over our designated budget to pick them up. Milan and Baroncini could be the start of a solid TTT core that we have been lacking for all our 5 years in the game so far! Meruisse and Elissonde will be riding some interesting calendars to try to chase results, hopefully they perform well! Potocki will not be at ToA this year, couldn't make it fit sadly, he will however be looking at a pretty nice year with lots of room for overperformances elsewhere.

Good to know that I have your support mate Excited about having a rider like Rowe on my team for sure, should be a lot of fun to plan around! Hopefully we do get to see some Dzama and Rowe double action somewhere!
