Glad to see you're remaining
Really looking forward to the future for the team and how you're going to approach this transfer window. Some very big names who will be moving around! Naturally, we will be in conversation but I expect the interest may be a bit more one-sided this time around

Really great to see you stick to the game finally
I mean, I absolutely understand your frustration with the game - I'm definitely in the same boat considering the 2021 season. But great to see you somehow found enough motivation to continue your Greek riders project
Looking forward to see how you approach transfers, definitely a lot to learn from I guess

Echo the others, great to see you continuing.
As someone who runs a very narrow geography focus interested in how you make it work at the PT level. One of the issues in the back of my mind is what will I do if I do get promoted. If you can make it work with Greece in the PT, I probably should be able to make it work with the US in PCT. But got to make it work in CT first, to test that.

Great to see you continue, love the spin of greek mythology. Wonder who your Persians will be eventually to make a stand against.

A lot of riders have been renewed - some have not, but I guess those are not so interesting.
Instead of showcasing everyone here's a list of the riders available for transfer in the upcoming season aswell as their stats and wages for the season to come!
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Wage | | Pierre-Henri Lecuisinier | 71 | 85 | 75 | 77 | 78 | 80 | 79 | 65 | 67 | 74 | 65 | 70 | 77 | 1.050.000 | | Bryan Coquard | 73 | 59 | 67 | 65 | 71 | 74 | 84 | 56 | 84 | 83 | 60 | 65 | 79 | 625.000 | | Clement Koretzky | 73 | 71 | 81 | 63 | 77 | 70 | 71 | 63 | 71 | 79 | 73 | 70 | 61 | 450.000 | | Aidan Van Niekerk | 69 | 74 | 78 | 65 | 72 | 75 | 76 | 66 | 63 | 74 | 82 | 71 | 65 | 150.000 | | David De la Cruz | 68 | 77 | 74 | 73 | 70 | 74 | 73 | 55 | 59 | 71 | 64 | 72 | 73 | 120.000 | | Remy Rochas | 67 | 77 | 74 | 61 | 70 | 70 | 73 | 60 | 61 | 73 | 72 | 66 | 62 | 80.000 | | Victor Lafay | 66 | 73 | 75 | 63 | 72 | 71 | 71 | 62 | 63 | 72 | 76 | 67 | 61 | 50.000 | | Markus Kopfauf | 69 | 62 | 67 | 65 | 67 | 74 | 67 | 52 | 74 | 73 | 70 | 68 | 81 | 50.000 |
* Huge thanks to knockout for creating this brilliant tool!
Obviously some high stat riders, but also some solid subleaders. Victor Lafay is level 4 but unmaxed, so will max at 75MO 77HI. Markus Kopfauf and Remy Rochas are newly maxed riders, and both have a very solid level.
As always - feel free to comment!

Nice set of riders there.
The big point for you is to maximise the amount of money you can get for these obviously as those are going to lay the foundation for your future investments! Really excited to see how you move in this window.

This is about to be the craziest fire sale ever in MG history by FAR. I'm looking forward to the chaos.

I'll definitely get the popcorn ready when transfers start, guess there will be some insane deals
I guess we won't be talking a lot about your riders, though - except if you again need a home for some Greek talents, like we already did once a couple of years back

This will be epic, that's for sure I'm very curious to see who can bring the most money for whatever deal, assuming you're looking for money only deals as the priority?
Good luck navigating! I'm very confident you'll manage |

How did this brand new team get the rights to sell and keep the money from Festina's riders?
This will be crazy and I am on the edge of my seat for both how it goes and how the money gets used. Obviously one name sticks out to me but I'm sure I can name at least one other manager that it sticks out to as well

Sounds good mate - Regardless of the direction of a rider trade it's always a pleasure to have these on going negotiations with you

Thanks mate
Indeed, the money is the vital part to this firesale. In an ideal world I would have waited for a season as the biggest talents aren't ready for training yet, but it will be fun to find some money to train those lesser riders that would have never seen improvement otherwise.
cio93 wrote:

The supremacy is not quite in due time I'd say
If I can somehow manage to get my training plans acustomed for it will be somewhat of a battle to see whether or not I can actually survive aswell. Would probably need a bit of tinkering with a couple of non greeks for very specific races. I guess that's something I need to invent as we go

True - And I kinda am too, after some seasons where the transfermarked has been relatively "slow", in terms of me not selling out that many riders. The core have been the same for quite some time with Lecuisinier, Coquard, Koretzky and Vlatos as the leader in either terrain. Will be a nice change to actually have 3 new open areas.

I hope they'll pop in my direction - The more insane the better of course hehe.
I sure hope we can land some greek talents, that isn't really ready for the level of PT yet so we could definately have talks

The priority is to get as much cash as possible, but not necessarily in the isolated deal. A money+good rider swap would also be very interesting if I see a potential in said rider getting me some money later on in the window (or even next season), that could have priority aswell. But I do have dollarsigns in my eyes indeed
For once I don't feel too confident that I can juggle this project and stay in the PT at the same time. A relegation could be very costly in terms of developping the biggest greek talents, so this season could well be the key as to whether the project is failing or succeeding. But that's the fun part

That's just something around the shareholding proces
Nice to hear you are looking fondly into the possibilities of landing Kopfauf. I'm sure (as you say) others will also be very eager

I can't wait for the moment the Lecuisinier deal thread goes up One other rider is of course quite interesting for us, though I assume I won't be the only one inquiring and I'm not even sure I'd want him to end up with us We'll talk though, I'm sure.

The past day have brought some interesting shifts, some are not yet sealed entirely and will have to wait for confirmation, but quite a lot have happened.
Let's welcome some of the new riders to the team!
| Andreas Miltiadis | 4.100 | 26yo | Puncheur | €65.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 68 | 75 | 75 | 67 | 70 | 71 | 66 | 68 | 61 | 75 | 67 | 68 | 67 |
We know Andreas very well, as he developped through the Festina ranks. We see him as a future star of the team, as he's a very well-rounded attacking rider, but also loyal and versatile.
| Georgios Bouglas | 4.100 | 32yo | Sprinter | €50.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 72 | 64 | 70 | 58 | 72 | 67 | 76 | 53 | 78 | 78 | 62 | 67 | 58 |
Also a warm welcome back to Bouglas. In fact this is the 3rd time we have Bouglas on contract. We were very interested in signing him last season, but instead he had a season with Carlsberg. We are very happy to have him back, as he's usually a very strong leadout rider, and his versatility is often very important in races with a bit more elevation than what some of the others prefer.
| Stylianos Farantakis | 4.100 | 27yo | Sprinter | €400.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 74 | 59 | 65 | 72 | 75 | 72 | 79 | 66 | 80 | 80 | 61 | 63 | 79 |
During the first hours of the transferperiod we also made a new contract with Stylianos Farantakis. We had to agree on an increase in salary, but the biggest greek cycling talent is needed here. Farantakis is ready to take his own chances, and Farantakis will obviously target some of those races with a timetrial involved aswell.
Enough with the welcome back. Let's turn our heads towards the newcomers. All of which are yet to fully develop!
| Panagiotis Karatsivis | 1.00 | 21yo | Stage Racer | €75.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 69 | 70 | 68 | 68 | 70 | 70 | 69 | 60 | 64 | 70 | 70 | 66 | 67 | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | 70 | 78 | 72 | 74 | 74 | 75 | 76 | 60 | 64 | 72 | 72 | 67 | 73 |
Karatsivis is easily one of the best greek talent in recent years. Many believe him to be an even bigger talent than Giannoutsos. With that in mind it was an easy decision to throw a contract at him. We expect great things, from this just 21 year old rider!
| Alexandros Matsangos | 1.20 | 23yo | Cobbler | €50.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 67 | 68 | 68 | 67 | 69 | 67 | 61 | 69 | 61 | 68 | 66 | 67 | 67 | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | | | ↓↓↓ | | 72 | 68 | 69 | 71 | 74 | 71 | 62 | 76 | 61 | 68 | 66 | 67 | 71 |
Alexandros have been on our target list before, but it took us a while to recognize that he infact could be a solid cobbler. Previously we have discussed his place as a GC domestiqe, and there he unfortunately fell short. But we believe he will be a very solid cobbled domestique for years to come.
| Anastasios Koumpetsos | 3.00 | 26yo | Fighter | €50.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 72 | 66 | 70 | 56 | 73 | 71 | 73 | 58 | 74 | 73 | 72 | 71 | 56 | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | 74 | 67 | 72 | 56 | 76 | 72 | 82 | 58 | 77 | 76 | 73 | 71 | 56 |
Koumpetsos is a brilliant attacking rider. His engine is rock solid and you can put him in all kind of scenarios. As Bouglas isn't the youngest rider anymore we see Koumpetsos as the perfect replacement. This season he will be thrown into a lot of breakaways hopefully.
| Alex Mengoulas | 2.00 | 25yo | Fighter | €50.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 70 | 65 | 68 | 69 | 70 | 68 | 65 | 68 | 65 | 73 | 72 | 67 | 69 | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | 76 | 65 | 69 | 75 | 76 | 72 | 68 | 75 | 65 | 74 | 73 | 68 | 75 |
Mengoulas had a long wait to breakthrough but the talent is obvious. We are still considering the proper path for him, but currently it looks like he'll be a solid cobbler and a valuable member of the future TTT setup.
| Jay Vine | 2.70 | 27yo | Fighter | €100.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 67 | 71 | 69 | 64 | 64 | 73 | 72 | 61 | 66 | 70 | 72 | 62 | 68 | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | 68 | 78 | 76 | 65 | 67 | 76 | 78 | 61 | 66 | 76 | 79 | 63 | 69 |
Only "foreign" signing so far is the very talented australian climber, Jay Vine. We threw a relatively large contract at him, as we know he will move on to do great things. He might not be an obvious Pro Tour leader in the future, but we see a great value in his strong MO/HI combination.

Some really good deals there! Farantakis the obvious one as a competitive sprinter with a great Prologue stat. Karatsivis a bargain too tbh. One perk of going all Greek I guess
