The the fuck was this stage. Berg dropped like the entire fucking Peleton before we even talk about Brendan.

What on earth did UAE serve for breakfast.

Bjerg certainly had the same food Dennis ate in those final Giro 2020 stages.

Yeah that was kind of crazy. The weirdest part is after Bjerg and McNulty went absolutely bonkers, they forgot to tell Pogocar to do the same.

Great stuff from Brandon.

Great to see all of the younger US guys making a mark at some point in the race.

Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever.

Highly doubt he has the strength for it, but I'd love to see him try

Yeah! Geraint Thomas made an actual attack! Woooo!

Ok it's come to nothing but fun to watch nonetheless.

Vingegaard, what a guy

Wout is so good it should be illegal. Massive for Vingegaard, gotta feel sorry Pogacar to a certain extent tho, all of his climbing doms besides McNulty removed from the race due to external circumstances. Incredible Tour tho.

Wout is different gravy. What a rider

Pogačar just shows that he's by far the best climber in the world. Wout could've won the tour in Vingegaards spot. honestly impossible to judge when your entire team goes up against a single guy, and even then you can barely beat him

It hasn't been a great battle between the two. Maybe you were watching a different tour

I wanna know who the hell Wout owes money too. Still sprinting for those intermediate sprints and the KoMs too.

Its been a awesome tour. I'm not sure the dom situations has mattered that much to be honest. They made a difference for sure on stage 11, but aside from that, they haven't really made an impact on Jonas or Pogi. They are both so far stronger then anyone else that its really just about the pair of them. And ultimately, Jonas has been the better climber and Pogi the better finisher.

What, Vingegaard put more than 3 minutes into Pogi. He was by far the best climber this race.

Man, how this forum has evolved. 8 pages without a single doping accusation!

The race itself has evolved. Sportsmanship on the road! What has this world come to?!

I mean. I would highly suprised if a bunch of them weren't... But i just enjoy it for what it is.

And honestly the sportsmanship thing is a little... odd really. I dunno if its true Sportsmanship really. Pog had no issue attacking when Jonas almost hit the deck. And Jonas... well it was a win win for him really. He looks awesome and gets his teammates back to help.

Kudos to Pogocar for going for broke, but it was inevitable. Jonas didn't break a sweat the last two weeks. Just miles ahead of the rest.

Forever the Best
Jumbo will likely take all 3 jerseys. And if Roglic hadn't crashed they would have had 2 riders on the podium too. Most dominant team performance in a GT since?

Always hard to trade in what-ifs - Roglic did crash, which is fundamental to finishing. So it's only one rider on the podium (but in the only position that matters!). Ineos have done it twice in the last 5 editions. Sunweb did it at the 2020 Giro as well, but without the win.

This is the 3rd year in a row the KoM has gone to the Yellow Jersey just by nature of ASO messing up the competition. So again, whilst good for Vingegaard, hardly record breaking, & even more common in the Giro & Vuelta.
I also can't really attribute Van Aerts Green Jersey to a team performance. He's just a freak, and has not been challenged for it at any point in this race. He took it on Stage 2 and sealed the win with 4/5 stage left - as much an argument a lack of challenge as good team performance.

JV have been very good. Kuss & Benoot deserve their plaudits for guiding Vingegaard. Definitely best team ride in the post Sky-train period, although as a team being dominant i don't know if anything will ever get close to that 2012 Stage 7 to La Planche and Sky just blowing minds and fundamentally changing how GT's were ridden.
