Can’t believe I changed away from my throwback inverted colours upside down Ian Butler avatar just a couple of weeks before he came back to visit
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

In exactly 1 week, I'll have this account for 10(!) years. True, i've been mia for most of it, probably, but still. Can't believe I came here as a noob following the Ian Bibby Story a decade ago. Those were the days for sure
Here's to another 10 years!
Can't believe we've shared a place on this site that long. But it's certainly been a pleasure!

With PCM 22 out, I think it would be a good idea to archive some of the older race forums into one section like we did for 06-12 a long time ago. Having so many inactive forums scattered about the main directory page isn't a good look I think. Makes us seem outdated and disheveled, which is something we should be actively trying to avoid. At least 2013-14 should be shrunk, but I think we could reasonable condense every game through 2017.
I also kind of think that our efforts to bring a few different subforums closer to the top have left that page looking unorganized and confusing for new members in terms of organization, but that's a separate issue.

If only the forum wasn't actually outdated and disheveled xd

Gonna go for loads of Interrail with a friend this summer. First part will be Denmark, Norway and Sweden (with possibly also Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland on the way back). If you have any places I have to visit let me know. If you wanna meet up somewhere on the way - even better!
Further there are plans for two more trips in the summer. One bigger in September should surely include Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenian (and maybe northern Italy). A shorter one in August might take place, then I'd probably visit Belgium and the Netherlands (with maybe a short trip to southern GB). Will probably post again once those trips are planned.
If you're interested in meeting up (would be my 4th daily meetup) or having general tips for places to go or travelling your country, either in general or specifically by train, just let me know. Glad for any hints! |

Have been to Paris pretty recently, and then also France is a little bit of a b**ch in terms of interrail as you have additional reservation fees in France (as well as Spain and Italy). If you'd like to meet up in Paris I could think about adding it to the route while in Belgium f.e. though. |

It should be better now.
Basically up to 2020 is within one sub forum only making it a big 2006-2020 "archive" with the 2 newest games still having the bigger structure.
With Stories being seperated anyway, they are still fast to find for whoever is having a story on older versions or following one. |

On my tour I managed to do the daily meet-ups 4 and 5, meeting cunego59 and knockout. They are awesome people, so far 5/5 meet-ups were absolutely worth it! So I can only encourage you to do the same, it's great fun. Am I also the leader on daily meet-ups now, or have there been people in the past doing more? |

I think there are maybe 5 members I could even realistically meet. I think NTTHRASH is closest to me (maybe 2ish hours away?)

Just dropping by to say tomorrow will mark 7 years on this site. I joined in 2015 just after the Tour, having hoped a Valverde charged Nairo can pull off the miracle on Alpe d'Huez. That wasn't to be but it got me back to PCM (having earlier played PCM 10 for a short time) and I installed PCM 14, only to see all wrong names in the game. The search to correct those names led me to discover Daily and it's wonderful DB. So I guess, thank you Movistar
It's been a blast on this site and I really cannot imagine how life would be now without my 'daily' fix. I don't play PCM much any more, but only to report MG and for RTG, but all the stuff on this site keeps me going through bored holidays and dreary office days. A lot of stuff has happened in parallel irl in these seven years, both good and bad, but Daily (and football) has always been the constant in the background. Have spent quite a bit of time living alone this year, and Daily and it's activities have helped overcome the loneliness a lot.
Thanks to everyone who makes the site what it is and keeps the community vibrant. A big thanks to the MG for basically existing, and all the managers that make the game what it is. I'm so glad that we look to be in good shape once again. I know I have been ignoring RTG a bit recently, but I will get it back soon enough, so please bear with me on that one.
Cheers all

I thought you were Pitt side of the state, maybe I'm misrecalling. Even still, most of the Northeast US is pretty easy to travel between

Happy seven year anniversary I love reading posts like this, similarly the one from bbl a while ago. I think it's just super neat to see the value online communities can provide, explicitly stated. To know that one's experiences are shared by others, even across the globe, and that the hours and hours of time spent here over the years have been of value not just for me, but for others as well. Which I can only confirm the other way around, of course, so thank you for all of your contributions as well. Here's to the next seven years!

Posts like that allways makes me feel super old. I've been a member for 16(!) years. Joined in 2006 and im 31 years old now. Crazy...
This site has allways been a "must check" when i get to my computer. And the MG community took me a loooong time to discover. After i was a part of the Daily DB team for a short while and after the PCMNorway stories etc.
Love the MG game, and for anybody else who needs that little extra in their life, should join that. The community within a community is great
