Nice ride from Hasani, with Croes again in the Top20 - onto stages with more breakaway options please

Great win by Sterobo! Bringing him here for 3 weeks, I was hoping for a big performance from him in this stage, and he delivered with the win! Really good time to set early. I was anxious to see if it would hold. Luckily, it did. A shame we couldn't get yellow as well, but maybe that's for the best. We still get a few points for holding 2nd on GC, and we don't have to deal with any of the AI complications of having a non-contender to work for tomorrow.
Warbasse once again disappointed at least a little bit, but not badly. Nerz, Carapaz, Diaz are all slower than him on paper, so not ideal to end up behind them. But he also gained a few seconds on a bunch of other contenders. The question now becomes about whether he has the legs in the mountains. We're likely to see much bigger gaps even on one stage there than we did here.

Well that was a trash TT on stage 3, but looks like we were resting for stage 4

I hope we get a highlight or two from the race, but yeah looks like it's not one for us.
That was sooner than expected
Zordan gives us a highlight, if Saber can't sprint to victory then we have to resort to breakaways. I'm gonna guess Penko was a big help to Zordan in the 1st part of the stage. I was a bit disappointed we weren't going for the KOM pts, but I said let's see what happens if we keep our powder try?
A great time to attack and pretty epic to hold on for a stage win, even getting 2nd place in the KOM classification in the end. So maybe we can see some attacks in the 2nd and 3rd week by Gilanipoor once he falls behind in GC. I also hope Pogacar moves to 2nd in U25, he's been pretty awful so far
Probably a day for the GC riders tomorrow, so we can chill and try to see if Saber can do something on stages 6, 7, 8 and 9. He could in theory salvage something from the race if he went on a streak of results over those four stages. He had his climbing legs today so I can only hope he can find his sprinting legs when it counts |

Congrats to red and thanks for the report Nemo.
Pleased to see Moazemi working for Nerz on the hilly stage, that's why he is here.
Nerz and Costagli nicely in 2nd and 3rd, we don't have the responsibility of the yellow jersey yet so can expect a bit of help with the chase during tomorrow's looong stage. Uphill finish should see some GC time gaps, hope Moazemi has another good day.

Good day for us with both Warbasse and Eg in the lead group. Doesn't seem at least for now that the team is going to needlessly burn itself out. They're both in a good position now, but the gaps are very small.
Tomorrow will be an interesting shakeup. I'm worried about Warbasse and Eg both given their lack of acceleration on some very steep slopes. But hopefully they will be alert and fresh.
Congrats to redordead!

Nice aggression from Haas, if he keeps trying he is capable of taking stages.
Main thing is that Brandt finished with the group

Well Diaz is gone from GC no, so it's going to be up to Elissonde and Potocki to get something back. Thanks for the reports!

Nicely in the break, and Croes still being active and seemingly desparate to make something happen. Good stuff so far from the youngsters.

Mixed feelings on those stages. The TT time loss was to be expected but Kuss was right at the back of the first group on the last climb and all on his own.
On the other hand a solid TT from Van Winden guarantees us some stage points and Revard uses the break to take White and sit weirdly high on GC. That likely to end tomorrow but nice for a day.
And McNulty with a great TT which he could have used in Avenir.
Great stage win for Zordan, every update it seemed like it changed between he would be caught and he wouldn't. Thanks Nemo for the reports.

A very quiet stage, nobody stretching their legs just yet. The climbing trio doing well to stay near the front and not lose time is great. Tomorrow will be interesting for sure, surely can’t be ridden so passively. Warchol’s gotta take advantage of the hillier stages and try and take time from riders like Nerz and Carapaz.
Thanks for the report!

With such a field I think Amador could have fared well here. Then again, 21 rd, not only his but also for supporting riders, would have been sacrificed elsewhere, so the effect is the same. The sponsors demanded our presence at this race, but we can only hope to show the team colors on the breakaways. So far, so good. The young guns are very active and they even fight for the KOM jersey. I hope they'll do well in that category and maybe, just maybe one lucky breakaway win could go our way, but I don't even dream about that one.
Congratulations to all the stage winners and thank you very much for the reports, Nemolito!

I wasn't expecting anything from this stage, but we actually scored some points here
One thing I feel PCM20 does a better job at is KOM hunting. I've noticed riders going for those opportunistic KOM pts quite a lot. Nice to see us profiting from it for once
I'm not sure if Zordan will be allowed to attack tomorrow since it's rated as a flat stage, so we might be on chasing duties for Saber. But I'd love to see him go for it a few more times before the climbs become too difficult for him.
Speaking of climbs, Gilanipoor has been doing really well under the radar, even finishing 5th today. Whether he can keep this up for a final GC I doubt, but as of now he's not been blocking our other riders, so that's nice
Now I just wish Pogacar would wake up! He's been horrible in this race. He must still be celebrating his Avenir victory
Awesome stage win by Novak, congrats Ollfardh

Must say, it was nice having a day in yellow. It was an absolute crazy ITT from Altanzul! Was so happy to see it! Not a great day from him yesterday but it was a hard stage. Good to see Ablenado up there. 15th place in GC after the first big stage and only 1 minute behind. He is still very much in reach of a high GC finish! Altanzul holding onto the points jersey as well!
Good start for us here!

Won't complain about the lack of points so far. Got value out of today's break with O'Loughlin, and Brandt finished with the leaders

Another poor day on the bike for us. Hopefully this frees up Elissonde to go stage hunting, now top 15 for Potocki should be the goal!

Novak looking dangerous, congrats to Ollfardh.
Great ride from Moazemi looking after Nerz who is now in yellow.
Kraftwerk should be able to keep the jersey for the next 4 stages, next stage is a breakaway day to manage followed by 3 sprint days for Haller. Then the real fun starts!
Good to see Kraftwerk up to 2nd in teams as that is one of our targets.
Thanks for the reports Nemo.

Novak is very strong. I knew he was someone to watch!
Obviously, I could not be happier with my team so far. Warbasse with 4th place on the stage is great in itself. Then to have Eg also in 6th is phenomenal. Seeing Eg holding 3rd on GC is really heartwarming in and of itself. Love seeing that kid ride after coming up with us. Obviously would have liked the strong ride to be rewarded with some gaps, but can't complain.
Today was a big test, and we passed. I don't expect my guys to stay 3rd and 4th on GC obviously - Eg especially will eventually tumble I would reckon. But it's certainly nice to see my team having both guys well placed near the front, staying alert. If Warbasse could stay strong, and Eg could hang on for a minor placing, it goes without saying that that would be absolutely huge in terms of what we get out of this race.
Tomorrow is probably a breakaway day, but Bouglas would have a good shot if it does come back together. We shall see.
