Nothing stage for us (and the peloton). Onto the TT. Congrats to quadsas!

Leknedeeznuts doing his best to save us from having a disastrous race. If Keizer can win the TT then it could be salvaged a tiny bit

Cool to see Wibisono as a part of a successful breakaway, a shame that he is by far our weakest rider though. Him, Yudha and Setiawa have all joined breaks during the race which is about the only positive we can take, and all good signs for the future. Suryadi doing well in the peloton is good to see also, hopefully means in future races he’ll compete too!
Thanks for the report.

Looks like Kaislavuo made a real mess of that finish, which is unfortunate, as he won't get many chances like that! Happy we again are represented in the breakaway, and oh so close for Kaislavuo to bring something home for us here.
Congratulations on the win, quadsas! Leknessund is a beast of a level 1 rider this year! |

This is one of those stages where I'd want the reporter to do a do over. The breakaway winning is not wrong, but not by that amount. I noticed sometimes the AI just spazzes out and doesn't chase at all, which I guess is what happened here.
I mean this happens in GTs as well at times IRL, I don't think it's a scenario that's weird enough to consider going for a do over on ngl.
Agree to disagree. Also this is a 7 day race not a GT.
I don't think a redo would work anyway, the same thing would happen. There is a certain situation where if the GC team won't chase then sprinters won't chase until they realize the GC team won't. But they wait way too long to "realize" that the GC team isn't chasing. Then you get a mad chase to reduce the gap from 13 minutes to 8 minutes.

Well, the week is over. A very good week for us. We "failed" our goal, but that was kind of a given.
Stage results wise, Sterobo really couldn't make his appearance here worth anything. That sucks, but it's fairly inconsequential. Cool to see Eg put in a good TT even though it didn't matter either either. He's had some very nice TT results this season. Warbasse gains a couple of minor spots to finish 26th.
The bad: Pluchkin getting 6th on the stage obviously stings, as it costs Guldhammer the points jersey. Tying for the win doesn't really feel like a win, especially when Rasmus isn't the one on the podium. And it's not a true win points wise either. Not that Pluchkin doesn't deserve it just as much, but seeing him beat a lot of great time trialists and literally finish in the exact minimum place he needed to tie Rasmus, that stings a bit.
Regardless, fantastic week for us overall. A stage win, some other good finishes, and most importantly, second on GC. His TT today wasn't great, but Guldhammer did more than enough earlier in the race to firmly place himself as the second best rider here, and that's an awesome result. It's a large helping of points from one of Guldhammer's few HC races. He showed up when it mattered.
Congrats to all those who did well and thank you LLS for the fantastic reports!

Let's just call this Oomen's worst race of the year and be done with it. Thanks for the reports!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Didn’t expect much from this race but I’m happy with a couple of top 20s and some minor stage placings. Was nice to see Seibeb so aggressive, legend.
Thanks for the reporting!

Salvaged the race to get closer to 100 points. Not nearly as good as expected, Keizer was horrible, but much better than it was looking after Stage 5

Thanks for the reports LLS and congrats fjhoekie.
Another missed goal for Kraftwerk.
Nerz beat Penasa in the Tour of America last year, he was nearly 4 mins behind him here.

Welcome to hit and miss Keizer; roturn described him best the year I transferred him from Aegon saying something like he can so quickly switch between exceptional performances, even on hilly stages and then shit the bed in a TT to screw up a race. He was awesome for me but I’ll never forget him losing the Catalunya GC in 2018 on the last stage after he had the worst ride of his life and squandered a 1+ minute advantage to second place (which he was a much better TTer than) and finished third. He then went on to beat prime Jerome Coopel in the Bayern-Rundfahrt who was the big favourite so he is always exciting to have

Disappointing to lose out on the podium on the final stage despite a decent ride by Penasa. 4th is still a very good result from him in this field and we needed that! Not good from Dumoulin at all on the final stage given his TT ability. Good race for us overall, more of this please.
Congrats to fj and thanks for the reports

We didn't get much from this race, and we couldn't expect it neither. Though, after Laengen's brilliant start to the season, I had some hopes pre-race. They were quickly gone after the first stage, and with that, it was also limited what we could achieve here stage by stage. Good that we tried and participated in breakaways, eventhough the riders being up there for us didn't have the legs or head to travel home with a stage win.
Overall winner as expected, you must say. Congratulations, fjhoekie! |

Well, not the best of weeks for us, as was expected, but at least we leave with a stage win which is always nice.
Congrats to Popo4ever and thanks for all the reports LLS!

Terrible week really, Warchol decided to use his week abroad as a vacation so it looks like we’ll have to deduct his annual leave days. Hofer awful too. Congrats Fj, and good to see Nairo and Penasa doing well.
Thanks for all the work too LLs

Wasn't a good race for us, but Onodera almost with a stage win, would have consolidated things a bit. Oh well.
Thanks for the reports!

Wow, how did Nairo achieve that?!?
Never among the stage contenders due to his lack of punch, but always finishing s.t. and then showing a surprisingly good TT - those look to be the necessary ingredients to get an HC stage race podium
Really surprised that he was never dropped in the mountains, unlike in Romandie (where he'd have taken a GC podium as well in that case), but obviously happy to achieve at least one sponsor goal this year - and not the easiest one!
And just like in Romandie, congrats to Plu for another pretty dominant showing in Austria - that race record definitely looks impressive!
