Of course, you did warn us about the nation thing. But I didn't quite think the USA was "something absurd" at the time.
Kwiatkowski was a tough pick for me. He rides all the big classics as a domestique these days. Too many guys jumping him at Sky. Last year he got minor placings in almost all of them that way. But if he falls off just a little bit more, he's outside the scoring positions and effectively useless.
I honestly don't know who Biniam Girmay Hailu is, but he seemed to do well in lesser classics last year and is now at Wanty, so I took a flier.
Boivin, yeah, not up to par compared to other teams. I can only hope he continues to emerge as a cobbles threat after a surprising Roubaix last year.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

I was hoping the same, but now TMM has picked my top option in 2/2 possible cases; fortunately we couldn't possibly interfere in R3
But I can live pretty well with Johannessen, too. No clue what his scoring potential is, but at least Uno-X will definitely be there in all the big races. 3rd OVL and a stage win in Bessèges isn't that bad to start the season ^^
And why not pick the 2nd OVL of Bessèges as well? Bettiol had a good start, and as 2019 RvV winner I hope he still can show something on the cobbles.
Barguil is clearly a pick for the early races in France, although he didn't look to be in best shape yet. Overall, pretty happy with those 3 rounds, though. Onto the next!

Draft R7-10
With PCT riders being drafted as early as R1, some people had to go way down their list in Round 7. For the first time there wasn't a clear frontrunner either. Notorious Bouhanni hater drafts Bouhanni once again.
For Round 8, we did have most people choosing Coquard (with Nemolito snatching my pick for 4/4). A few stage racers in this round as well, not sure how many classics they will ride.
The free pick rounds made most people happy I think. Even Bikex got his two top choices. The Bananas instantly became a sprinter team, the Roughnecks betray their Belgian heritage and the Bombers pretty much win the game by drafting Laporte.
| Bikex Bald Beagles | BBL's Bombers | Jaxika Hussars | Laurens147 Hornets | Marcovdw Bananas | TMM's Roughnecks | Fab's Fainthearts | Roturn's Lemmings | Ollfardh Paladins | Nemolito Pacifiers | R7 | Rasmus Tiller | Kristian Sbaragli | Amaury Capiot | Jeremy Lecroq | Timoty Dupont | Connor Swift | Luca Mozzato | Xandro Meurisse | Nacer Bouhanni | Jonas Rickaert | R8 | Nairo Quintana | Luc Wirtgen | Matis Louvel | Sasha Weemaes | Niccolo Bonifazio | Ben Tulett | Bram Welten | Pierre Latour | Markus Hoelgaard | Bryan Coquard | R9 | Gianni Moscon | Christophe Laporte | Giacomo Nizzolo | Stefan Kung | Elia Viviani | Mark Cavendish | Sep Vanmarcke | Baptiste Planckaert | Dylan Teuns | Aleksandr Vlasov | R10 | Tom Van Asbroeck | Alex Aranburu | Michael Valgren | Aurelien Paret-Peintre | Danny van Poppel | Simon Yates | Jonas Vingegaard | Andrea Pasqualon | Jordi Meeus | Victor Campenaerts |
Next round by wednesday evening midnight:
R11: A rider from your home nation
R12: A rider from the country with most riders after R10 (your pick in case of a tie)
R13: Free pick
R14: Free pick
After that we can have a few more free picks, you can discuss here how many more rounds you would like. I'd say at least 2 more.

Being at the back of the pack has some advantages (WVA, Pogi, Coquard), but can also be shit Obviously names as Laporte, Nizzolo and Vanmarcke were gone already, but I still think an in form Vlasov can do something nice in the hilly classics. Campenaerts is always free to surprise me. Too bad Fab was ahead of me with Mozzato. Also a shame I simply forgot about Meeus, but I guess I owe Ollfardh that one after changing Tulett to Coquard that late I would have picked Tulett if I knew he was going to the hilly classics, but Ineos might have other plans for him in preparation of the giro.
For R12: What is the country with most riders?

The country with most riders in your team after R10 (the full draft is posted on page 1). So for you that would be Belgium, giving you a chance to make it 5/5 .

Challenge accepted
Thanks for the explanation, I understood most riders in the game instead of team.

Excellent question! I would say (meaning I just decided ) that you can only pick 1, so you'll have to send me a list of only French, Belgian or Danish riders.

I was pretty afraid, that R12 would result in yet another German but luckily I got enough Belgiums. |

Very happy to get both Laporte and Aranburu. Very surprised Aranburu fell that far to be honest. Showed very good and consistent results in both cobbles and hilly classics last season, at 26 he could easily do even better this year. I guess you could argue he has to share the stage with Valverde, but I don't see that being an issue, especially when we're already in round 10.

Hum... why did TMM have to pick Swift? Well, because it's one pick ahead of me ^^ Capiot would've been #1, but Mozzato was still #3, so not *that* bad. Plus, he allows me to pick an Italian in round 12 if I'm right, and there's still some more choice than with Danes (if I counted correctly, I have 2 each).
Welten... no clue if he'll be useful, but let's try. Tulett was next on the list, so just to annoy TMM at least once that would have been fine, too
Vanmarcke and Vingegaard were #1 and #3 in my R9/10 list, so can definitely live with them. Laporte would have been cool, too, but didn't expect him to get down to me anyway. Vanmarcke will hopefully rock the cobbles, while Vingegaard probably won't race a lot, but at least do the Ardennes.
One thing I have left to say: @Laurens
@Ollfardth: Concerning the number of draft rounds left: you said in the intro post that there would be 15 rounds, so I guess there's just 1 left? I'm fine either way, still got some cool names on the "free pick list"

That 15 was a copy paste from last time, we should probably go for 16-20 riders.

Couple more rounds is ok. Could include picking a CT Team rider, picking a rider over 32, pick a rider from a Contentient you've not yet selected from, and then a Free Pick or two/three to round if off between 16-20.

I'm mainly thinking about how stupid I am picking Campenaerts over so many other strong (scoring) riders

Draft R11-13
So first of all apologies for cutting R14, but as we're entering the last round (I think everyone is happy with a total of 16 riders?) I felt it really was Nemolito's turn again to start the final drafts.
Round 11 made it really clear we were down to second tier riders, maybe Degenkolb can still win something or a breakthrough from one of the youngsters, but I do feel this is the weakest round of the draft.
Round 12 is always interesting to see where people went with their choices. TMM's betrayal was obvious. Roturn and Nemolito converted while others realised their were opportunities in France and Italy with only 1 team representing them.
Finaly more free picks for Round 13. I didn't expect guys like Lutsenko and SKA to be drafted this late, but everyone got close to their top pick.
| Bikex Bald Beagles | BBL's Bombers | Jaxika Hussars | Laurens147 Hornets | Marcovdw Bananas | TMM's Roughnecks | Fab's Fainthearts | Roturn's Lemmings | Ollfardh Paladins | Nemolito Pacifiers | R11 | Piet Allegaert | Brandon McNulty | Valentin Madouas | Stan Dewulf | Ide Schelling | Milan Menten | Mauro Schmid | John Degenkolb | Edward Theuns | Alessandro Covi | R12 | Tim Declercq | Romain Bardet | Elie Gesbert | Axel Zingle | Fausto Masnada | Ethan Hayter | Lorenzo Rota | Aime De Gendt | Philippe Gilbert | Tosh Van der Sande | R13 | Mike Teunissen | Esteban Chaves | Alexey Lutsenko | Toms Skujins | Sam Bennett | Mikkel Frolich Honore | Clement Champoussin | Davide Ballerini | Soren Kragh Andersen | Ivan Garcia Cortina |
You get 3 more free picks to complete the team, please send in a list by sunday midnight.
Finaly I really don't like the calendar. Roubaix and Amstel switching places is not something I can do anything about, but I am thinking of adding 4 more races so I can get San Remo and the cobbles split up. Would there be any objections against doing this at this stage?
Basicly round 3 and 4 would change to
Ronde van Drenthe
Nokere Koerse
Milano - Turino
Classic Loire Atlantique
GP Denain
GP Cholet-Pays de la Loire
Bredene Koksijde Classic
Milano - San Remo
Brugge - De Panne Classic
E3 Harelbeke
Gent - Wevelgem
La Roue Tourangelle
