Debesay responsible to deny Areruya the victory. Don't think it was necessary to rub more salt into the wound |

A win and a podium in his first two races being my rider, what a nice start for Kudus in my team. Surely did not expect as good results as this.
Once again, huge thanks for doing this, SN!

That was a great tragedy, inevitable, expected, but still hurts a lot. Didn't think we had a snowball's chance of beating Kudus but still hurts when it happens, especially in that fashion.
However, don't want to let that take away from the fact that we do have an African champion still! Very very proud of Morne, love it

Thanks so much for doing this SN - very fun to follow good performances from our guys, but my god that ride from Kudus made it look easy. Can’t wait to see him tear it up this season

Thanks again indeed. My Africans of course weren't up for the task in the road race with their stats, but congratz to Kudus and Roman! Hoped for a bit better from Laizer in the TT, but maybe he's saving himself for the regular season

Contis will resume after the Tour Down Under has concluded, with the European Championships.
Remaining in Athens, as the Balkan Championships were.
For the road races, the 12 nations with the best finishing rider in each of two qualifying races, will go on to compete in the championship race.
Malta as Control Team
Greece as Control Team

That was not the profile I expected to survive from the break on, but pretty cool to see him do it. Almost won the qualifier too. Great job nabbing Finland a spot in the championships.

Shouldn't be an issue for Herklotz to make the Top 10 on a decent day, and hopefully Demare can survive as well and fight for the top spots.
Weird first race on the parcours, I've seen PCM20 do this a few times as the relaying system feels fleshed out less and less throughout the years.

Really really happy with that result. Also proves that Giannoutsos on a good day could give a nice surprise result in a GT f.e. - 1st ever win for him.

These are all being raced on PCM18.

An unexpected top-2, but since there are no points to be won/lost I definitely do not mind, what a nice race to win for the Greeks

Fun race. Chapeau to the breakaway for staying away.
And nice to see Kwiatkowski secure qualification for Poland! |

Woooo! Nice win by Yates over Demare (and the others). Hopefully a sign of more good things to come.

No Lecuisinier on a route like this? Obviously, seeing Herklotz not performing all that well is a decent indicator of why he shouldn't be there, but I would have easily picked him over the likes of Gautier.
Anyway. Koretzky with a great performance to take 3rd. With Giannoutsos winning the other qualification we have performed very solid!
Now to screw up the real race

I guess the statlists are automatically taken from 8 best hill stat riders, which is why lecuisinier missed out.
De Bie with a typical race. Actually a bit better as winning against Sagan. Despite 84 hill not strong enough to attach, likely as the others have superior flat. And in a sprint usually beaten by many riders. |

I did tinker with lineups a little for the Championship race, to take out the worse performers for the larger nations. Lecuisinier in for Gautier was one such change.

Sounds good. Now to see Lecusinier making a mess of the race

Good showing from Demare to get very close to the win, and I think the World Champion doesn't need to win the European Championships as well anyway.
Let's see how the main race goes, either a bit more cohesion or a bit more chaos in the final and there's a good chance we can take this title home.
