OOuch no stage wins just yet. Although GC wise we're still doing good.Hopefully we can make the difference in the TT and the mountains.
Many podiums already now just go for some better highlights

A decent sprint by Wagner, a couple of breakaway appearances, Fernandez up to 12th... we are fine.
Liberty Seguros seem to be getting the optimum out of every race this season. That's the only explanation I have why they are beating my brilliant prediction formula so badly.

I hadn't even realized it before, but it looks like Cimolai already crashed out on the 2nd stage, which is obviously not good news for us at all. Luckily I brought Ponzi as well and he's gotten 2 Top 10 places so far, but obviously that's not worth that many points.
Other than that I'm disappointed with the complete lack of breakaways from us. Domont is at best an outsider for a Top 10 so I don't understand why we are not joining any breaks with guys like Aregger, Lang, Zollinger or Koch. Domont is doing about as expected in 14th but I have to hope for some lucky breakaway results in the 2nd half of the race as otherwise we won't be scoring many points at all here.
Thanks for the awesome videos dominox (Luckily Ulissi finally lost the leaders jersey, I was already getting suspicious. ) I'm just kidding obviously, thanks for the great job.

Not really otherwise we would have two GTs won but at least the GTs and stage races seem to work out very well, with Herrada not crashing and off season focus shift on Bananito with +1MT and -1HL whilst VDP can snatch up some white jerseys throughout the season. Last season we had quite a bit of luck to be fair, with crashes in multiple stage races, not only the GTs.

Thanks for the coverage and results, dominox. Very cool to see Bananito in red, at least for 1-2 days before one of the big ones snatches it away from him. So far he is racing very aware and taking 2 stage wins is amazing. Polanc immediately equalizing it shows that Grupo remains very vigilant though. Great racing so far but a bit disappointed that Pulido is not doing better, was at least nice to see Gonzalez and Navarro on the attack tho.

Suntory Vuelta Bardet Watch
S6- | Bardet safe inside top 20, dominant win for Ewan, congrats dominox | S7- | Bardet safe inside top 20, surprise win for Geissler, congrats jandal | S8- | Aggressive riding from Bardet getting some time back on rivals, congrats Shonak | S9- | Started to worry as didn't spot Bardet in his Mountains jersey but he was home safe, congrats Croatia |
Some exciting racing and its still tight with only 23 seconds covering the top 4 in GC. Nice bonus to have Bardet in the Mountains jersey now I know what to look for
Great to see Crochet up to 3rd in Young Riders, he is only 24, lots of time to develop.
Sevilla nearly a 20 min lead in the Team then very tightly bunched, Suntory narrowly second.
Stages 10 and 11 should see a big shakeup, can't wait
Thanks for the videos dominox!

Darn it, any idea what happened to Henao on stage 6? Totally loses his GC there. A few nice stage points from him and Ackermann though.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Yeah, gotta say I was surprised to see Ulissi being a GC leader for so long, nice amount of points considering I did send him there... just because, lol

Apologies, but I completely forgot to have a closer look in results so tbh I don't quite know myself if it was crash or something different. |

Surely Dombrowski is better than his current GC position? Our bad run in GTs continue.

Good stuff from the team in Britain, although I can't say I approve of Olivier attacking his team mate's leader jersey

Always nice to see the Irish Champ winning in Britain.
Good stage win for Bennett! Martin is right there but still just not quite good enough, and his terrible TT has taken the GC mostly out of the question. However, we've had a super impressive performance by Houle, who has complicated things by moving up to 4th in GC. Great work there.

We're happy as well, breakaways, KOM jersey, Pöstlberger in the top 10. But stages 6 and 7 look tough.

Finally a win in Guinness colors for Dan the Man!
He played that stage perfectly after a slightly underwhelming stage 6, and was obviously out for blood. Followed the right move and then just powered everyone that was left off his wheel to take the stage.
Very successful race for us overall. Two stage wins, 2nd in GC, the points jersey, and active team effort in both breakaways and the peloton. Very happy with it. Thanks for the videos!

Very nice performance from Cambianca in Britain, 7th is definitely a very cool result for him. Other than that Steiner was our standout performer here, attacking everyday basically and getting 2nd in KOM. All in all pretty successful race from our "b-team".
Thanks for the great videos Shonak!

To bad Martin got in there, otherwise it would've been a full Filliers podium (yes, I know we lost Serry ages ago, I don't care). Very good race for us, Olivier really making a case for himself as he is getting older, stealing the lead from Pizarro and giving us a nice win. Thanks for the videos, always fun to see how the race was won!

Didnt see 2nd place by Garau in Cigar Classic before. What a great performance, was hoping he could snatch a few points here and there but it didnt work out at all so far. All the better that he had such a good race now

Thanks for all the video coverage from our home tour, Shonak! Lots of breakaway action for my main and dev team crowned by the stage win by Stefan van Winden, another career first win. He is a cobblestone domestique so he must have had great legs to beat Barton. Pöstlberger suffered on that stage 6 but was in great shape a day later, 8th overall, nicely done!

More stages of Vuelta are now live ( https://pcmdaily....st_1391798 ) with results from another 1 day classic: Praha - Karlovy Vary - Praha
Spoiler Bardet with incredible dominance over those stages. He lost in ITT only to Aru (which is a surprise). Meanwhile my Ewan again screwed by breakaway... twice. |
