Yeah he got his Caja Rural Contract right after I decided I can leave him for next draft and hope nobody finds him |

I thought of selecting him with my 3rd pick but then I decided against it. I made the right choice. |

Round 14 and 15 of "21 and Done" opened the 2021-year of drafting. We've seen some World-Class talents being picked alongside some huge flyers, from big time talents to exotic u23-riders.
163 | redordead | Luke Plapp | 164 | FreitasPCM | Andrii Ponomar | 165 | jaxika | Mattias Skjelmose Jensen | 166 | Shonak | Florian Lipowitz | 167 | DarkWolf | Abner Gonzalez | 168 | valverde321 | Valentin Paret-Peintre | 169 | AbhishekLFC | Matis Louvel | 170 | jandal7 | Alessandro Baroni | 171 | df_Trek | Idar Andersen | 172 | Croatia14 | Daniel Arroyave | - | | | 173 | Croatia14 | Raúl García Pierna | 174 | df_Trek | Jacob Hindsgaul Madsen | 175 | jandal7 | Thomas Champion | 176 | AbhishekLFC | Markus Pajur | 177 | valverde321 | Rait Ärm | 178 | DarkWolf | Yesid Pira | 179 | Shonak | Alan Boileau | 180 | jaxika | Anders Halland Johannessen | 181 | FreitasPCM | Arnaud de Lie | 182 | redordead | Ben Healy | - | | | 183 | DarkWolf | Jarrad Drizners | 184 | valverde321 | Didier Merchan | 185 | DarkWolf | Nicolas David Gomez |
First up redordead picked the jackpot: Luke Plapp, strongest on Willunga Hill this year and projeted to pick up some olympic medals on the track, will ride in Ineos-colours in 2021. Ponomar at pick 2 will be the youngest rider in almost 100 years to ride the Giro, while #3 Skjelmose already is a solid WT rider after dominating juniors right before a 10-month doping ban. Lipowitz is known as the next big thing, with the formet Biathlet being pre-contracted to Bora for 2022 already. DarkWolf closes the Top5 by picking WT-revelation Abner Gonzalez, which closes picking the Top5 best available riders as accurately as it probably could get.
Then we have a couple of good picks, where the French market got raided. Paret-Peintre is a pure climber and could become very good, Louvel and Champion are already WT-material. Pajur and Ärm, back to back picked Estonians ( ), both ride in France and enjoy tougher sprints. Baroni is more of an unkown one, while df_Treks picks of Andersen and Hindsgaul show how UnoX emerges on the cycling scene. Croatia14 picks another Colombian in Arroyave as well as track/road hybrid Raul Garcia.
Then we have another very interesting 3 colombians picked, surprisingly many compared to previous times. New Addition DarkWolf picks two of them, finding promising Caja Rural-climber Yesid Pira and young sprinter Nicolas Gomez alongside WT-ready Jarrad Drizners from HBA. The other colombian picked is Didier Merchan, a young climber doing well on the domestic scene.
Further than that Freitas picks the most exciting Belgian from the 2002-year in Arnaud de Lie. Other than that some great climbers were picked: Almost-locked Ineos-signing Ben Healy, the masterful domestique for u23-Giro winner Pidcock. Anders Johannessen, a CX-Guy climbing like a madman out of nowhere, and Alan Boileau, triple-stage winner at the Tour of Rwanda already.
What a class of April 2021, let's see how they progress over the next years. You can find a summary of all picks here and of all teams here. |

Didier Merchan seems to have a lot better results than Pira (its how I came across him in the first place), and he's supposedly had World Tour interest leading up to the Tour of Colombia, which I think he crashed on a long downhill stage, so hopefully he's still on track to move to Europe.

Thanks Croatia. Happy with my two picks, especially the new cannibal Boileau.
