Which will happen... I don't know when, but it probably will at some point. I hope my cdb's files aren't giving Bikex any issues with extracting results for stage 20/21.
Stage 20 had "I don't want to export results" issue, and stage 21 was crashing after last rider got to finish line so... We are waiting.
In the meantime I'll post June preview later today.
If it doesnt work why not make a Covid and declare Herrada the winner, saying last three stages could not be raced bc of high infection numbers

I am ok with that but think we would have to declare Quintana the winner since his stronger recovery means he was clearly going to dominate the rest of the race.

If anything Wellens should win, look at his improvement the last stage, he was ready to take pink in the last weekend.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

It turns out corona tests done in the recent days in peloton hasn't found anyone infected, therefore Giro finally finished, lol
Spoiler You thought Barguil losing 4 minutes was drama? Herrada with "Barguil stage 17" performance on stage 19 losing 3 minutes to Quintana! Very unlucky race for krisa (I feel really sorry) and Ceramica as Battaglin DNFs on stage 20. Both main sprinters now out as Guardini and Ewan won't finish Giro. Quintana with a final win and Contador who was always behind Herrada/Barguil now finishes 2nd due to mentioned weaker performances on stage 17/19. Who knows, couple more mountaina stages and it could end with Contador win over Herrada being 2nd and Quintana 3rd. What a Giro it was and believe me, watching it unfolding live, was an incredible pleasure for me .
June preview is also up and running. |

Awesome stuff by Nairito, I'm amazed. Great to have him win, also very happy with Contador coming second. We did absolutely nothing, which hopefully doesn't occur too often anymore this season.

Thank you dominox, an amazing race indeed and incredible live coverage. Looking forward to Tour and Vuelta even more now.
Herrada with a lot of bad luck imho - he barely missed the split over the mountain pass and then had to chase as Quintana & Contador supported each other and got some help from others looking to win the stage. Of course he was empty then in that hill. All the better to strike back the next day and take a 2nd stage win in ultra dominant fashion.
But its better to lose it in that manner rather than TT randomness. With Navaaros DNF we were a bit weak team, too, but loved seeing Herrada in rosa. Herrada (or TVG) should have even won the time trial but again random factor played against us there. Two stages, 3rd in GC and points makes up for a good overall focus race.
Gratz to Ulrich on the Giro win and well done also to some other big winners, like Bertie on 2nd, Bargul 4th + Points, and the Credit Suisse raid.
Only 99 riders finishing the Giro, new negative record?

Tao had a weak 2nd week which made him miss his third GT top 10 in a row - but I'm hardly complaining, 11th and the white jersey is great. Ruben probably shouldn't have launched his long range attack on stage 19 because he took it easy on stage 20 and lost a few GC positions.
Huge drama at the top, of course. Early attacks on just about every stage and they made a lot happen. Excellent entertainment.

Ahh, so close there for Domont on the 20th stage, would have been the perfect ending to this great race for us, but congrats to Liberty on that one.
Firstly, thanks a lot dominox for a truly amazing coverage of the Giro, with videos of every stage, I really appreciate that!
For us it was an amazing race with 2 stage wins and 6th in GC + 4th in points by Villella (with multiple 2nd places by him as well), the KOM jersey + a nice 16th place in GC by Domont and a few nice stage results from Cimolai in the sprints too! He was even the best sprinter surviving this one, so almost a shame there was no sprint on the last stage.
Considering this was a goal race for us, I can be very happy I think. Funnily enough, I had hoped Villella could shine in the first 10 days or so because of all those hilly stages, but he actually was stronger in the 2nd and 3rd week, but who cares in the end.
Congrats to all the winners - especially Quintana and Ulrich of course - and let's hope the next GTs will be as spectacular.

Wellens gave me quite a scare on stage 20, but recovered well enough. 9th is exactly where we should be. Thanks for the coverage and congrats KBC!

Lambert 20th GC and 2nd U25, for a very weak squad not that bad. Deserved last place in the teams classification, but at least we classified
Congrats KBC!

Thanks for the congrats. In the end Nairo managed to have the least bad, bad day - does seem like if it had gone another 2 days it could all have changed - so glad it stopped when it did. Also agree on stage 19 Herrada was unluckly, he was struggling but was so close to hanging on at the front over the last climb and then paid a huge price when he didn't.
Amazing stuff from Contador, 2nd place and wining the final TT at 37 (?).
First Giro win for Nairo, now on to the tour and a shot at the double. Team there is going to split with Kittel, so less climbers, but hopefully Henao will last the race. In the end I thought Kenyeres, Hubert and young Clinck and Mapemba did a nice job and one of them was with Quintana until pretty late on in both 19 and 20.
Dominox thanks for the great video and all the work.

Congrats KBC!
And thank you dominox for the awesome videos!
It was fun to watch Giro from the outside. Really entertaining and comfortable when I'm not part of it. |

It was very disappointing to see Nibali out of the podium fight so early in the race already but he managed to salvage his race with two impressive stage wins.
Also congrats Ulrich! I didn't look at the route too much but only 100 riders finishing means it was probably one of the hardest we ever had.
Rankings posted! June will start tomorrow!
I'm sorry but I have to laugh at Vegeta Sorry Luigi, hope results will get better |

It seems like Nerz forgetting how to ride a bicycle didn't help me in the rankings update

1st place in prestige ranking among CT teams is safe, but I don't know how long we can stay there

Good update for us, jumping back on the podium spots after a mediocre classics campaign. Herrada did great scoring in Giro and also VDP really came into his own this season. Think he could catch up to the top tier in 1-2 seasons and really contend for the big wins.
Credit Suisse and CCC look relatively safe at this moment and have stepped up their game big time. Peugeot close to relegation is surprising to see, same for Alitalia. Think Ceramic should be good once Aru starts to race. If it comes down to it, I always prefer to have an active team in WT (Peugoet) and inactive team relegated (Alitalia) tbh.
Many thanks for the update
