he can't expect favors by his way to race...

Roglic had a mechanical, it seems. Top-10 likely improbable even more now, he nearly crashed again.

I don't believe it's bad karma, but it's bike racing and yesterday Roglic was after the win, so those teams are after the same thing today. It's not very nice and unfortunate for Roglic, but it's not lack of fair play either, as I see it. Like I said, it's bike racing.

Mäder attacks!

As Kruijswijk was left in the first group apparently, it could have been a sign for other teams, that Roglic "has given up" though.

When it was just 20s, they really should have sent him back otherwise to help him to close the gap.

Who knows yet, what talk was there in the first group with Kruijswijk as well.

It is lack of fair play though. Bora and Astana only started racing when Roglic was behind. The race wasn't on when he crashed. Had they already been pushing before the crash, it would have been fine to keep on going. Starting to push when the guy is down is not cool.

Kruijswijk was sent back to help Roglic. He was the last Jumbo rider to let go, before Roglic went on his own.

They did though if I didn't miss him in the front group. Just a mistake in displaying the provisional results.

Realized as well now...the virtual GC list from Eurosport apparently not working very well then...Pfft

First having Roglic still 3rd for a long time when he already was another minute down, then having Kruijswijk virtual 6th with 2-3 km to go, when I posted.

Will be interesting to see what Jumbo or Roglic have to say at the end of the race.

It's not cool, but the way I see it it's like in the World Cup Final a team stays on defensive facing Messi, for example, and if he goes down injured it starts playing on the attack. Sport has such moments. They're not pretty, but they do happen.

What a champion. First thing he does is congratulating Schachmann even after such tactics, and Schachmann even kinda apologizing. DS win.

I agree it's racing after all, but winning like this doesn't leave you with a good taste in my opinion. Especially since this wasn't exactly a hard stage and they weren't pushing before the crash.

People call it karma for Roglic and while I agree he should have let the young rider take the win yesterday, the two situations are not exactly comparable.

One thing I am certain though, I am happy I'm not in the skin of those guys. It must feel strange and not that good indeed. Although, hats off to Roglic for his sportsmanship.

I just love how people care more about fair game and unwritten rules than racing clean. But hey, whatevs, chapeau to Schachmann, one of the most likable riders and well played by Bora.

Just read up on VDP in Tirreno, truly the most exciting rider since Contador. _O_

Aren't some of your personal heroes convicted dopers though?

Yeah so what, glad they got caught and if they get caught again the better. Still can cheer for a rider if I like their attitude. To make it dependent if someone gets caught or not in a field of dopers is pretty nonsensical tho, you should want cycling to be clean, not your individual heroes. And looking at it, the sport continues to fail

So then why play high and mighty on the people that "care more about fair game and unwritten rules than racing clean" when you clearly don't care about racing clean
